He's got like the 5th highest QB rating with no OL and playing left handed.

Stats that do not favor Jalen Hurst are irrelevant.

Okay so now I'm really confused. Why do I care if Minny and the browns trade quarterbacks?

I'm not sure why he was asking, but yes, we dont care.

1st of all, Rodgers nor Wilson will be "Reasonably" Priced.   They will command a high premium.  Watson might be but his Legal drama present an issue.   So if you mark off those three whose left in the Draft?   Why give up Draft Picks for an expensive Rodgers or Wilson?  Even if you don't feel Jalen is the answer, there are clearly other issues on our team that need to be addressed.   I think this debate about QB would make more sense if we had a record like the Giants or we continued to fall apart after 2-5 instead of being in the playoffs.

What if you can get Wilson for a 1st, 3rd and Hurts?

You thank the Lord that Seattle is that dumb and make the trade.

what is hyperbolic. Theres little something called Strength of schedule where Georgia had the hardest schedule(with a low of 15) iin the country and Utah ended up 30th with a low of 115th.

If you truly think a player from Georgia and Utah should be graded the same you're nuts.

According to your logic every Big 12 QB should be drafted.

Notice it's team strength of schedule not individual strength if schedule.

It's hyperbolic to say 10 sacks in the pac 12 is like 30 in the SEC.

The difference between the pac 12 and other power 5 conferences isn't as wide as you are making it, it's not like the pac 12 is Div II.

having said that you are still ignoring that no matter how tough Dean's conference is he's still a 5 ft 200 pound LB while Lloyd is what 6'3" 230

5'11" 210 LBs don't cut it in the NFL no matter how good there conference was in college

You throw in Howie

This has been my position. Although it is not a popular position in here. I happen to agree.

Rodgers for a guy who wants out- is still playing at a higher level than any other QB this year. Yeah I want that!

Sure.  You add Rodgers, he's basically the only piece you add this year.  Is that good enough to compete for a Super Bowl?  Because a move for Rodgers is a win now move.

I love Wilson but don't think they get more than 2 first round picks.  He's mid 30s, lots of money, and not a classic pocket passer.  His legs mean a lot to his game and those can age quickly

This would be close to the actual compensation.  Just because the Eagles have 3 first round picks, the national media will assume the Eagles will chase one.  That does not mean all three picks would be the cost.

The 2013 class was considered awful, but we got Lane/Ertz back to back. Ironically, we also now have Slay from that class.

Other elite players from that class: Travis Kelce, Tyrann Mattheu, Hopkins, Keenan Allen, Terron Armstead, David Bakhtiari, Micah Hyde, Ryan Jensen, Le'Veon Bell, etc.

wait, you think we would give all of our draft picks for Rodgers? Also, I get that adding his contract would be financially limiting (and we can blame Howie for that) but if you can do it, make it work, you do it.

To answer your question, add Rodgers to this very team today, and we would have a shot at a winning the SB.

any deal would likely include a future pick with a performance clause attached.

100% agree.  People say you build the team then add the QB.  Welp, we have a playoff team, so Rodgers would put them over the top.

If you think playing Washington state and Colorado's offense is the same as playing Alabama and Ole Miss  offense I'll never change your mind.

Who is your favorite worst Cowboy/Eagle player of all time?

Mine is Felix Jones

He's showing more signs of growing in to Cam Newtons ego than he is signs of being an above average passing QB.  Keep in mind, Cam was a mentor for him.  There are small mannerisms in him that make me think he could go the Cam route but I think he has a better head on his shoulders and has great leadership in his life to steer him away of becoming Cam.  However, we have no idea how success can change people.

OBJ wasn't OBJ at LSU.

Cam wasn't Cam at Auburn.

Antonio Brown wasn't AB at CMU.

The list goes on.  Success changes people in different ways.  You can see it in both DK and Justin Jefferson.  The more success they both see, the more diva they become.  I think DK is going to be a headache, especially when it comes to next contract/team.

Hurts has shown that he has A LOT of the look at me generation traits...will be interesting to see which direction he goes.

This is the dumbest take on Hurts.  Aside from Antonio Brown, who likely has mental health condition which of those players' egos impacts their on the field performance? The answer is none of their egos have.  OBJ had an injury and then a **** QB.  DK and Justin Jefferson are great receivers.  Cam blew out his shoulder and hasn't been able to throw the ball since then.  Their egos have absolutely nothing to do with their play.  I mean look at Aaron Rodgers.  He is well known to be a selfish diva and a-hole to people.  Rodgers is disliked by his teammates.  His coaches hate him.  He's not some charismatic leader.  He just is a highly competitive QB with uncanny ability.  Any professional athlete is going to have an ego and be more self-centered than the average person.  It has no bearing on their success.

It's a Boniol/DeMarco tie.

Adding my two cents:

It's not the same. If you pulled the very best of the best from smaller schools onto one squad and did the same with the SEC, there's a strong chance the SEC waxes them by at least five scores.

wait, anyone have a favorite? Pretty sure every player we have ever gotten from the Turds, failed miserably here, but I may just have a jaded memory.

As in one who played for both teams?

Yes

Is Hurts "successful” in a new system?

he has a 16/9 TD/INT ratio, which is horrendous in the modern NFL. The Eagles made the playoffs on the backs of their running game and any time they needed to win a game through the air, sans the last Washington game, their offense totally fell apart.

In one game Minshew stepped in, the offense didn’t miss a beat. And you can say well that was the Jets, but Hurts also struggled mightily against plenty of bad teams this year. They haven’t beaten a team above .500 all season.

Taking bias out, what did Hurts do this season that was so special. I think people’s standards have fallen so much. He threw for over 200 yards in a passing league in only 30% of his games. That’s ridiculous.

Make no mistake. If the Eagles lose in wildcard game, it’s a high probability it’ll come down to the simple fact that the opponent had the better QB. The Eagles aren’t going to get to that championship level with Hurts.

So if you can get one of those guys via trade, F yes you do it. This team could go on a real run with one of those guys.

But I keep seeing people say keep your picks and build up your defense. Forgetting that the most important position in pro sports is still your team’s biggest weakness. The amount of bending backwards to defend Hurts is just crazy. I got into an argument yesterday with someone who said Wilson is "only slightly” better than Hurts, and that Hurts is a proven winner, but Rodgers has only won one Super Bowl.

What the F has gotten into people? We’ve gone from "4 straight NFC championship games isn’t good enough, it’s Super Bowl or bust!” To "Hurts is the QB of the future and a flat out winner” when the team is squeaking into the playoffs in the worst division in the NFL and not beating a single winning team. Philly fans have gotten soft.
