I didn’t want either of them. Certainly not Jones. But I’d also be lying if I didn’t think and still feel this way about passing on Fields might be a big regret of ours. This 2022 crop doesn’t have the usual 1-2 QB that are easy 1st round picks. Fields as a prospect looks to be far better than any of 2022 guys at this point of draft process, and that could be especially bad if Hurts doesn’t play well this year. 
 

I worry about the scenario that A: Fields plays well B: Hurts doesnt C : Eagles look to 2022 draft for new QB, in another year where many teams will likely be looking for a QB, Eagles have to use extra draft capital to get their guy, and that guy still doesn’t project as well/play as well as Fields does.

Davis Mills with the Texans. He will get a good opportunity to play and very likely this year. Im excited to see how this kid reacts to the Pro level game. If he can slow down the game at this level I see him as a promising player in this league. But as mentioned, way to early out of all these players. The next 2-3 years will be fun to watch with these QBs to see who pans out and who was over hyped.

I know who he is, I’m just surprised you’d have him over Fields. Fields is far better as a prospect and much better situation. 
Doubt Mills even sees field this year with Tyrod in town. And Texans will likely take a 1st round QB next year.

Thats exactly why I think they give Mills a chance this year. Look at him this year, and if he doesnt have it, they take a QB next year. The word is out every player on their team is available for trade. They are in full rebuild mode so Mills will get a chance to prove himself, his abilities and character with this team. everyone knows what Tyrod is already.

I talked about Andrew Booth jr earlier, but here’s a better summary about him. CFB player worth monitoring this year, one of my early favorites and fits exactly what Eagles need. Had a great game against Georgia. Potential to be first CB drafted.

true , IMO the team should build a younger more cap friendly team with next years draft and then if hurts doesn't make the grade start looking for a 2023 QB in the draft. i know it's early but after 1 week evan neal OT from bama looks like a beast and has started both tackle spots  mailata and neal would be scary book ends. georgia LB's nakobe dean is a beast as is nolen smith. if the team uses all 3 potential 1st rounds they should get great building blocks for both sides of the ball.

It could line up where the Eagles are in position to get both.  Easily could replace both CB next year in round 1.

I’m really hoping we see them use two of the picks from our 4 high picks on a CB and a S.
 

FYI Kyle Hamilton the Notre Dame FS plays today, he’s a consensus top 5 ranked prospect. I’m looking forward to that game

For some reason Herrmans couldn't make it work at the next level of college football, Ehlinger showed no improvement in his stay at Texas

We'll see what Sarkisian learned from the master.

I really like the options in the secondary this upcoming draft. Howie should draft at least a CB and a S.  Some good DL too.

Herrmans was great at UH.  Wish he had stayed.

Agreed. If Hurts pans out, ideally I’m hoping we see a CB, S, DL, & IOL selected with our top 4 picks

A good defensive battle is nice, but those offenses basically neutered themselves with bad playcalling, conservative schemes and minimal adjustments. And Clemson’s QB was horrible outside of like two throws

Dallas wasn't beating Tampa Bay anyway, so this shouldn't affect us too much.
