For real?   I'm no Hurts fan but that does seem low.

Idk but the quote was amazing. Stadium built on cheap landfills. Kind of like the teams. Lmao

I dont care, but they are frauds.  They actually belong in NJ.

I did that because YOU said Wentz was Trash the past couple seasons.  We know he was bad last year.  2019 was the season before last.  He wasn’t "Trash” then.  And he hasn’t been "Trash” in 2021.  If he has then so has Hurts.

Comparing Wentz to Ben Simmons is MORONIC.  Wentz didn’t quit on the field of play.  Wentz isn’t refusing to play and using mental health as a reason why he won’t play.  Simmons refuses to learn how to shoot.  As a guard in a game where you need to shoot.  That’s like saying Wentz refuses to pass the ball.  That’s a weak ass comparison.  Just admit you hate the guy because of personal reasons.  It would make more sense then comparing him to Ben Simmons.

That wasn’t your original take.  It was that he was TRASH and that you HATE him.  That’s extremely unreasonable.

I have absolutely no reason for hating him other than football. I don’t know what your fishing for there but that’s on you and you need to get over that.

My comparison of Simmons and Wentz was spelled out exactly for you. They refuse to accept criticism and instead run from it. That’s a fair comparison whether you like it or not.

My wording of past couple of season wasn’t including ‘19, you just assumed that. ‘21 and ‘20 were my meaning of last couple seasons. I realize his stats this season are viewed as respectable and I already conceded that saying trash is overboard. But I gave examples of him single handedly blowing the Titans game and his team getting a win against the Pats in spite of his 5-12 1td 1int effort. And I don’t know why you’re still trying to throw Hurts in my face when I’m not exactly partial to him either.

And yes, this all started when I asked another poster what have you seen from Wentz that makes you think he’ll have multiple playoff wins and even a SB win with the Colts.

Quitting on the team?!?  He asked to be traded and stayed out of the media.  Unlike a lot of the other stars nowadays.  He wanted a change of scenery.  With the way this media is and how fans like you are, I’m not sure I blame him.  Not to mention the circus that is/was the FO.

What’s wrong with you? Asking to be traded is exactly quitting on the team.

Just now, 4for4EaglesNest said:

No.  Walking out is quitting.  Refusing to report is quitting.  Claiming you have a mental illness just to get out of being fined for not playing, is quitting.  Realizing that a change of scenery might be best for you and the team and doing it the right way is hardly quitting.  Jesus dude.  You’re either real young and naive.  Or older than me and really old school.  Because this ish is happening all over sports.  College and pros.  You’re gonna end up hating a lot of players.  College is rampant with guys "quitting on their teams” right now.

Those are all examples of quitting on your team. Just because it’s happening all over sports doesn’t mean it’s not still quitting on their team if they want out because they’re not doing well there.

I don’t watch a lot of college sports because I don’t think it’s fair to be critical of kids 18-23 who are trying to figure things out and how the world works.

Also, if you want to complain about bad comparisons, comparing and NFL QB who’s getting paid millions asking for a trade, and a college athlete entering the transfer portal is a pretty bad comparison.

I think Hurts has improved, and he's trying to stay in the pocket.

One reason going to the run helped him, was play action helped the pass blocking and made it harder to blitz.

But got to walk before you can run. Hurts and the offense are both a work in progress, and a complete change from last season.

Kind of brilliant to lean on the run as he progresses.

Wouldn’t  transferring to Oklahoma be the same thing ??

3 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

And I didn’t even get into the traumatic injuries he’s endured and how the GD media is in Philly.  These guys are human too.  He’s not some selfish A Hole.  Do you even remember all of the charity stuff he did?  The Dutch Destroyer piece on ESPN. Ask in 2017?  Call him a spazz.  Or someone who wilted under the pressure, after all of those injuries.   But to question the guys integrity  because he asked for a change of scenery is a little much.

I’m not saying he’s a bad guy off the field, you’re just assuming that. I watched that ESPN piece and even shed a tear. I told you, up until the benching in GB, I was a fan and supporter of his. All through that crappy season I held out hope for him and defended him. He’s response to the benching is when that changed for me. I literally only hate him based on football.

And I swear to god, telling me to cut a guy a break who gets paid millions of dollars to play a high pressure game because the Philly media can be tough isn’t going to fly.

And it’s not to much for me. He quit on this franchise, no matter how much you want to sugar coat it. If you still want to be a fan of his, that’s fine, nothing wrong with it. But it doesn’t work for me.

3 minutes ago, downundermike said:

I actually don’t see a college transfer as the same as a pro requesting a trade.
But if think it is then sure. But I have no loyalty towards Alabama so I could give a crap that Hurts turned his back on them.

And my criticism of Wentz is in no way a proclamation of devotion towards Hurts. He’s our QB right now so I support him and want him to succeed in an Eagles uniform.

Quitting on your team is quitting on your team.  And spare me the "kid” analogy.  They are all adults.  18-23 year olds are all old enough.  They’re not trying to "figure out how the world works”.  They are playing football and getting free f-ing room and board.  Those guys aren’t in the real world yet.  Hell, neither is Carson Wentz or any other rich pro athlete.  No the transfer portal is exactly the perfect comparison.  Getting a scholarship and then transferring because you’re afraid of competition.   Quitting on your team.

Sure I guess you had it all figured out by the time you hit 18. Good for you, I didn’t and it took me until my mid 20’s.

Getting free room in board is no where close to the same as getting paid millions. Don’t even try to pretend like they are.

If you want to say transferring is exactly the same as requesting a trade, fine I’ll concede that. And if I had any loyalty towards a college program and a stud athlete transferred out I’d be disappointed about it but not feel the same about it because they’re not getting paid the same as a pro athlete and they’re also still 18-23 years old.

2 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

And if our current QB came from another NFL team because he wanted a change of scenery, asked to be traded and "quit on his team”, what would you think of him then?

Oh you mean like any player that was traded here? I’d be happy to have them because they wanted to be here.

I don’t know what point you’re trying to prove. It’s as basic as this. My loyalty is towards the Eagles. If a player wants to be here, great! If they don’t want to be here, F ‘em!

I hate Wentz and I’m sorry if that hurts your feelings. No pun intended

6 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

No one is saying free room and board is the same as being a millionaire.  Why do you keep making things up?  I was just saying those college players weren’t in the real world.  😂

Sorry I'll admit I miss read that part and took it the wrong way.

5 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

That’s naive.  You’ve questioned the guys integrity for wanting to be traded.  But would have no problem with a guy who wanted to be traded here.  His integrity would be intact.

My feelings are incapable of being hurt.  I just like getting into the mind of people like you.  Makes me feel better about myself.

I question his integrity because he quit when he started sucking. And he kept sucking because he wouldn’t accept criticism. This isn’t like Rodgers wanting out of GB because of friction with the FO because Rodgers is still at the top of his game. I’ll admit I wouldn’t give a crap about Wentz one way or the other if he was pulled this on another team. But it’s because he did this while playing with the Eagles that makes me hate him.

Clearly your feelings have been hurt. It sure got you all in a bunch when I said Wentz was trash and I hated him. So don’t give some BS condescending line about getting into the mind of people like me and it making yourself feel better.

You just spent the last hour defending Wentz as if my superficial hate towards him was an actual personal attack towards you.

Once again.  My feelings aren’t hurt.  Don’t give yourself so much credit.  You’re not that important.   I just like picking guys like you a part.  You’ve changed your opinion or corrected yourself numerous times in here.   It’s obvious I have you twisted around.  Its almost like your hate is making it hard for you to think straight.  It’s entertaining though.

Breathe.  Slow down. Gather your thoughts and Hate On!    😂

Have a goodnight.  My angry little fella.

Wtf? The sword you’re willing to die on is my sports hate for a guy you never met. I changed my opinion on nothing, I hate Carson Wentz and no kind of rambling nonsense from you can change that. I was trying to have a good discussion with you about my stance on Wentz and I simply admitted that I read something wrong that you wrote.

Don’t give yourself so much credit, you picked nothing apart and clearly you’re the one that got yourself all twisted up and worked up. I said I hate Wentz and called him trash, you came running ready to attack like some kind of superhero fan boy. Take they L and call it a night.

I agree on some points.  Personally, I don't hate the guy.  I wish the best for him.  Guys change teams all the time especially in today's world.

I was just really disappointed that he wanted out.  During the 2020 season I thought a new HC would do wonders for Wentz, assuming they hire the right guy.  Him and Doug you can see just didn't work anymore.  When they fired Doug I thought for sure Wentz would be back.

Yeah. LGM beat you to the punch on that when I first responded to Quinn today, comparing the stats of Hurts this year to Wentz in 2019.  Which went ignored.

I just chuckle at the notion that Wentz made a big fuss and cried and ish.  When you got guys like AB, Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Jalen Ramsey, doing the ish in public like they are.  Wentz quietly asked to be traded away from a burning building and he’s hated.  Pretty lame.

After playing behind 2nd and 3rd string lineman all year with Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward as his top receivers (just a notch below Moss & Carter) and asked to pass 45x a game.
