I like that he’s had a 1000 yard season, in JAX!, is only 25 and has the right size/speed combo. He did break his ankle, but that doesn’t resonate with me as a long term issue.

But I haven’t soured on Quez yet as I think he does get open and is cheap. In terms of WR need, I’m still thinking slot (since Reagor looks look a gadget guy/#5 at best).

Chark, Smith, and Quez int he slot. Deadly once we get a QB.

You still get one.  Especially because Smith could be an injury concern.  I would prefer Chark TBH.

I don't think we will spend a lot of money in FA this year.  I could see a Zay Jones, Josh Reynolds, Chris Conley type signing.  One guy who I would be interested in who might not get as much as he wants on the open market is Christian Kirk.

Yep and that would alleviate the need to grab in the top 3 rounds in the draft.  We seriously need to get a RB in that range.

WR and Safety in free agency would be nice.

The Sirianni offense is focused on YAC.

The offense not only took off once we started running more, but when we replaced Ertz with Goedert. I love Ertz, but he's never been a YAC guy.

With DG and another RB coming out of the backfield.  Minshew would flourish.  🙂

I agree. However, if you check out Chark Jacksonville highlights on youtube from his breakout season, youll find that despite all his big catches downfield, they were all underthrown balls.

If you get a true deep threat, then even Minshew wont be good enough. He is going to limit that.

Well I have my eyes on a safety in the draft....but that's not gonna happen.

Have faith! He might fall to us....I'll pray every day if that's what it takes

And Hurts numbers the last 3 games against two of the worst teams in the NFL, and one game against Washington was after they were ravaged by Covid.

I would also point out with mills, his game against the chargers who are ranked 23rd in total defense (and were down multiple defenders in that game due to Covid and injury (bosa and Derwin James didn’t play)) skews his QB rating in the other 3 games. Cause against the 49ers, Seahawks and jags his QB rating is 86.7.

additionally afan who always discusses QBR conveniently leaves it out here cause in the last 4 games his QBR was 29.7, 78, 18.9 and 27.2. That means in 3 of his last 4, he’s been not that good. His average over the last 4 is 38.4 average which is with a 78 thrown in there.

just for the Deshaun who comment…. He had a 112.4 Qb rating last year which ranked 2nd in the entire league (considering the fact they fired their GM and coach midseason, as bad of an oline last year, played a 1st place schedule not a last place schedule like this year). And 63.7 QBR which was 12th. Meanwhile mills in that stretch still wasn’t close to watson in his best 4 game stretch.

Yep, screen game is a lot better with DG instead of Ertz.  Both RB and TE screen.  Problem is we have an RPO Qb which hurts the screen game.

I know.  I was being sarcastic about Minshew.  He's not the guy either.

Chark would fit well with Hurts then.

Everyone fits well with hurts if they like producing at about 25% of their capability.

I hadn’t thought of Quez as a slot, as he doesn’t really have the light TE or RB build… but it has been shifting in that direction with all of the vertical concepts coming from college.

But then how can they say they were unaware?

Because leading up to the game team Dr’s said it was fine and cleared him to play

Do you think we go OL with one of our 3 picks?  If so do you expect us to go Linderbaum, Kenyon Green or someone else?

Eh if i were tampa I’d just go after him for putting everyone in potential harm from Covid by sneaking that toilet licking skank into the hotel.

That’s besides the point, I was just clearing up the whole timeline issue

Go get Xavier Woods and Christian Kirk.

Stuff happens. Tunsil fell to 13. Derwin James fell to 17. Lamb fell to 17.

It's why Miami losing this week, with Cleveland and Minnesota winning, is so important.

Is Jessie Bates a FA after the season?  If so, I'd target him

RIP Sidney Poitier.  Wonderful actor.  Highly recommend "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" with Hepburn and Tracy, "In The Heat Of The Night" with Rod Steiger, and "To Sir With Love".  He has several other films that are must-viewing as well, but those are my favs.

This is also true for most teams. First round picks have a 50-50 shot at working out...

Yes, that's the average... and the Eagles have been below average in first round picks in Howie's tenure. 11 picks from 2010 - 2021... Only 4 would qualify as having 'worked out' in my book... Graham, Cox, Johnson and maybe Smith.    Wentz was good for a while, but when making that type of move for a QB, its supposed to last more than 5 years.  Agholor?  Not really.  2 years of good production to go with 3 years of major disappointment.

Which means if Howie is hitting on about 36% of his first round picks, and missing on pretty much all of them after 14... we should only expect 1 good player out of this draft in the first round.   That's not good enough... not by a long shot.

Wentz was a hit. Got a MVP season out of him before the injuries sapped his effectiveness.

Either would be amazing.  Jeez, Green at RG...

Pickens in RD2🙏

I'd be fine with Pickens in round 2. I really became a fan of Jameson Williams as the season progressed but he looks like a top 15 pick now. Pickens is someone I liked all along. Love the size, hands, body control and athleticism. Would be a great compliment to Smith.
I'd also love to sign either Kirk or Ramsey for the slot. I would prefer Kirk as he would instantly upgrade the return game too and he's only 25 but not sure how much he will cost, definitely won't be as cheap as a Ramsey.

great great actor.  Highly underrated by many.

Is anyone really a compliment to Smith and Goedert.  3rd read may as well be on the sidelines.

Chark is a big go-up-and-get-it type of WR, can get downfield and make plays.  Hed compensate for the 50/50 balls

Not at the cost they put into him.  You don't make a move like they did for him, for a 5 year QB.  Sorry, he played well, but organizationally, that was a failure.
