Cool thing about joe burrow is that he has beaten the chiefs and Vegas. Won a division title while being sacked the most in the league (51 times). Also he threw for 974 yards the last two weeks and 8 tds.

I’d add he also lost his nameplate and went nameless last week. Lol

Pffft "Hero ball".

So don't try to score? Throw balls to people who aren't open? Don't run when your makeshift oline breaks down again?  Wentz played like crap in 2020 there is no argument there. 2019 he did what he needed to do with the team that he was given or remained and drug practice squad players into the playoffs.

Oh and his reward? Drafting a quarterback in the 2nd round instead of someone that could help him win

I am an Eagles fan and that’s what I root for. But I have no ill will towards Cincinnati besides their ownership is cheap and sucks. I love watching their offense. They’re really fun to watch. I wish they get some offensive linemen so Joe Burrow doesn’t die before his 27th birthday.

Some of the 25% falls on Lurie.

if you want/expect a 100% house cleaning then you are right and I am wrong.  I don’t think that radical a housecleaning was necessary.  The primary contributors to the problem were purged.

if 100% housecleaning was the right approach then Stoutland would be gone too.

This isn't about 'right versus wrong'.  This is about the key folks to blame being held accountable.  Howie was absolutely one of the biggest contributors to what failed with this team, and he's still here.  There's no way of getting around that.

But, I am not going to blame the OL coach, while the GM gets a free pass.  That's silly.  We know what Stoutland is, and what he isn't.  He's a coach, and a damn good one.  He is NOT a coordinator, nor a head coach, nor a personnel guy.  He's not a contract negotiator, nor a roster builder.  He's not the draft guru, nor the one responsible for trades.   That's not his department.   The failure to build the roster, manage the roster and to keep flexibility to deal with the unexpected falls on the GM.  He failed in all 3 phases: draft, free agency and cap management.  Yet, he remains.  The primary contributors were not purged.  Howie played as much of a role as Doug, if not more.  Remember, Doug didn't have authority with his coaching staff, so how much of the blame can he really shoulder?  Just ingenuous to say that he had more culpability than the GM.

But, I do agree... Lurie has his share too.  But we can't fire the owner, just like only the owner can fire the GM.  And here we are... hoping that Howie has turned the corner and become good Howie again... the one that knows how to work the salary cap without digging a giant hole.  Or the one that can find cheap pieces to add that actually contribute.  Let's hope, because he's the one still here.

Well when he does die you can bet there will be front office homers that declare it to be his fault because he played "hero ball".

He's also only thrown for 4205 yards.

Luck - 5,032

Murray - 4,508

Burrow - 5,185

I’d add burrow also got his knee wrecked last year so he had come back from that injury while doing what he’s doing.

Got his nameplate ripped off…. Hero ball

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles - 31

Cowshits - 12

Bonus: Hurts plays two quarters and 3 TDs (2 running and 1 passing)

This cannot be true. Afan has already told us that the Bengal's OL is not really that bad.

Been pleased to see hurts cut down in the fumbles, seems last year he was a bit careless with the ball and this year I'm not sure I can even remember him fumbling, I'm sure he has just not often

Don’t play tag with Chris jones.

Everyone kept saying Sirianni was chosen as HC b/c he could be Howie's puppet.

As we've seen, he's actually a good HC, but the reason he was chosen is now obvious, since AR, we haven't had coaching staffs that developed players.

Chip was off the plantation, Schwartz just wanted veterans he could plug in, Pederson had no pipeline to NFL caliber assistants once Reich left. Stoutland has been the one exception, who can consistently coach up his players.

Sirianni came to his interview with a list of assistants, and most are "hands on" guys, while both Siri and Gannon have a lot of "hands on" experience.

The lack of HCs who were focused on development also meant conflicting voices at draft time, Howie has brought in a number of top football guys, he's build a good personnel department., but the personnel guys haven't been on the same page as the coaching staff. Which is not good. Winning a SB made things worse, not better, since it empowered the coaching staff and acerbated conflicts. Pederson wanted win now guys, Schwartz preferred to trade draft picks for veterans. Reagor is a good example, Pederson lobbied for speed at WR after watching guys plod around in 2019.

Now that he's got a development oriented HC and assistant coaches, I think a lot of those conflicts will disappear. Because when your HC is looking at players in terms of coaching that player up, rather than plug and play to fit a perceived need, they'll be looking at players more like scouts do. I think Siri is also more willing to gamble on young players rather than tarde for a veteran to plug a hole. Even when Howie traded for players, it was a 6th for Scott, Ertz for Gowan - young players with upside.

Yeah guy on Twitter didn't get the memo of the rule change where passing touchdowns result in more points than rushing touchdowns.

3 turnovers by the Eagles.

Is this a reverse jinx or do you really think we lose by 25?  Parsons is out, Smith is out and I think Anthony Brown might be out.  They also lost Gallup so they are one hurt receiver away from being an average offense.

They are better than they were last year but they still arent that good. Their playmakers are ridiculous. I’d argue they have the best collection of playmakers in the league. Higgins, Boyd, chase, mixon and even cj the tight end.

If you are going to compare QBs, then use statistics relevant to QBs.

QB sneaks at the goal line do not transform a franchise.

I think we win.  God himself,  Micah Parsons isn't playing so we have a chance. 🤞

The three linebackers selected after Kendricks (Wagner, Zach Brown, and David), all went to the Pro Bowl.

That said, we won a SB with Kendricks.  He was a key contributor.  And if we had drafted one of the other three, think of all of the subsequent timelines that do not lead to SB LVII.

I would not want to change anything before 2/4/18.

If I could swap out Kendricks for all decade player Wagner or all pro David, I would have to do that. They are superior players and its not even close and they are still playing at a high level to date. I can't see how they wouldn't be integral difference making components on that super bowl defense.

Rodgers and Brady will finish 1-2 in the league voting for mvp. But there’s a case for burrow to be 3rd in that voting.

They still have Pollard and Cedrick Wilson which is enough against an already average defense probably resting most its starters.

We probably will be resting Alex Singleton. Let that sink in.
