Why wouldn't he?  He quit on his team to avoid low chance of injury in a Bowl game so he wouldn't miss out on money in the draft.  Why wouldn't he also holdout out to avoid injury in the final season of a contract?   He is exactly the type of person that would holdout.

Nobody with true shots at being R1 picks care about bowl games. The CFP? Yes. The OnlyFans Toilet Seat Bowl? No.

Hurts is going to be the QB next year, book it. Pickett is meh, like every QB in this draft.

PIckett is a one year wonder who'll be the same age as Hurts as a rookie, he doesn't have a top arm and he's not a top athlete. Nor did he face top competition.

So what's his ceiling? Top 10, top 15? What would be the point then.

"I want a passer"

There are a few QBs I would consider in this draft but not in R1. McCall, Zappe and Ridder. That would only be if they’re there on day 3.

Isn’t McCall staying at Coastal?

@LeanMeanGM

27-15 Eagles

Bonus: Reagor goes off!  5 catches for 70 yards and a TD.

He very well may be. I don’t start going crazy with draft research until February.

@LeanMeanGM Eagles lose 17-24.

Bonus: Minshew throws for 300+

Under somewhat similar circumstances Lance has played roughly half the snaps this year that Hurts got last year, and will likely be the starting QB next year, as Hurts was this year. For rookie numbers:

Lance — 41/71, 57.7%, 603 yards, 5 TD/2 INT, 38 runs for 168 yards 1TD, 53.5% ratio, 0 fumbles, 97.3 rating

Hurts — 77/148, 52%, 1061 yards, 6 TD/4 INT, 63 runs for 354 yards 3 TD, 42.6 ratio, 9 fumbles, 77.6 rating

These numbers lead me to believe Lance has a higher upside, less prone to giving the football away (should be noted here Hurts has also fumbled 9 times in 2021), and would have potential to be more prolific as a passer despite coming from a much smaller college than Hurts.

Thoughts?

Heard there were some nice tight ends playing in that OnlyFans Toilet Seat Bowl.

I'd happily take a flyer on Carson Strong in Round 3.  Highly doubtful he's there, but if so... I grab him without hesitation.

That seems about right.

Yes I would grab Strong in R3 but in this QB desperate league he will be R2, possibly even in that 28-32 range.

Probably.

While tonight’s game might be mostly meaningless and a glorified preseason game, it could be Kelce’s final game at the Linc.

That is now how I am looking at it. Cowboys vs Eagles, last game of the season at the Linc and both teams are going into the playoffs.

I really hope the Eagles play as many regulars as possible tonight. The Eagles are a team still trying to figure things out so they benefit from as many meaningful snaps as possible, especially against the Cowboys.

Sounds about right. If Lance goes on next year to have a similar year to Hurts I don’t think "happy" is right the word. Cautiously optimistic, maybe. But you also can’t just compare stats across two players to draw up a generalization. Lance is more talented than Hurts, so if they put up similar numbers, Lance is more intriguing because his ceiling is so much higher.

I wouldn't count on it if I were you.  They punted on the preseason, and they had even more to figure out then than they do now.

Nah, he’s playing. Not the whole game but out of everyone on the Covid list, he’s the only one activated. If he was just sitting they would have left him on it.

Same, at least for a quarter or half. I wouldn’t push guys that are hurt to play, but they need to get out of this slow start funk. They also just had a bye 3 weeks ago so it doesn’t seem necessary to rest every single starter.

That's a very small amount of snaps to extrapolate on. So no, it doesn't really mean anything yet. SOS plays a much larger part in how accurate numbers are when there's that little playing time.

Lance has played 2 1/2 games against the Texans, Seahawks and Cardinals. Only good team is the Cardinals and he had his worst game at 192 yards 0/1.

Not saying he won't be good or better than Hurts but it's a pretty pointless to compare at this point.

This was hard to watch. But couldnt look away. I just watched this whole thing.

If anyone doesnt know, NELK is a youtube channel with basically eternal frat boys partying and doing pranks. Theyve evolved a bit over the years but same basic premise. Huge youtube audience. The lead guy decided last year to try doing podcasts and brought in Bob Menrey who is pretty well connected in the sports world. Bob helps get the guests for the podcast.

They typically release these podcast videos on a Wednesday, and hadnt done one in a few weeks because of the holidays but they put up an "emergency episode" today because they got Antonio Brown after his incident, before any other news outlet.

He is a nut case.

Comes across as impossible, you can't even mention another good player regardless of position, he gets so sensitive as if you're taking a shot at him somehow.
