Under somewhat similar circumstances Lance has played roughly half the snaps this year that Hurts got last year, and will likely be the starting QB next year, as Hurts was this year. For rookie numbers:

Lance — 41/71, 57.7%, 603 yards, 5 TD/2 INT, 38 runs for 168 yards 1TD, 53.5% ratio, 0 fumbles, 97.3 rating

Hurts — 77/148, 52%, 1061 yards, 6 TD/4 INT, 63 runs for 354 yards 3 TD, 42.6 ratio, 9 fumbles, 77.6 rating

These numbers lead me to believe Lance has a higher upside, less prone to giving the football away (should be noted here Hurts has also fumbled 9 times in 2021), and would have potential to be more prolific as a passer despite coming from a much smaller college than Hurts.

Thoughts?

Not sure. Lance is playing in a playoff caliber team while Hurts walked into a s* show. But who knows how (or if) that plays a factor in making such an extrapolation.

Yes I would grab Strong in R3 but in this QB desperate league he will be R2, possibly even in that 28-32 range.

This is exactly right.  Lots of teams (at least eight) will be actively looking for a new starting QB, and very few Day 1-ready draft prospects in supply is going to result in interesting moves.

That’s why I believe we’ll see at least one Stafford-like trade right around Super Bowl time.  Teams will be aggressive in going after starting-caliber available QBs — I’m thinking both Garappolo and Goff will be traded even before FA.

Matt Corral to the Lions could be a pretty safe bet.

Nah, he’s playing. Not the whole game but out of everyone on the Covid list, he’s the only one activated. If he was just sitting they would have left him on it.

He shouldn't be.  He's the most valuable piece on that offense.

Keep the streak alive, then sit him the hell down.

Yes.  3 snaps.  All kneel downs on the first drive.

I’m betting on Mayfield to Washington

In theory I agree. But I think the streak means something to him. And there’s a chance this is his last time walking onto the field at the Linc as an active player. They wouldn’t take that away from him.

Just put him in there for a series or for the first snap. I think the Eagles should do that for him but he shouldn't play significant snaps.

Go yourself.  That would be a fun event.

I forgot about the streak... let him start then put him on ice.

That possibility just hit me earlier today and I really really hope it’s not his last time. He deserves to have a better send off like a home playoff game. The city of Philadelphia should just start building the statue to him now as there’s no point in waiting.

I hope it’s not but with how’s he’s been in press conferences all season I think it is

You must have forgotten the Nate Sudfeld "breakout game" in 2017 where he completed an amazing 19 of 23 passes. The Eagles only gained 134 yards on those completions and he only led the Eagles to zero points, but it was obvious at that moment (to some people) that the Eagles would be better served to start him in the playoffs than Nick Foles, who was 4 of 11 for 39 yards and 1 INT and was coming off a disappointing game on Christmas against the Raiders.

While tonight’s game might be mostly meaningless and a glorified preseason game, it could be Kelce’s final game at the Linc.

Have a bunch of favorite Jason kelce moments. But far and away my favorite thing ever was his speech in the mummers outfit. i love that dude

Heck, we all do.

I dated an Irish woman from Paris for a bit. Unshaved armpits.  I admit it. I still dug it.  The accent helped.  As did the topnotch blowies.

Too early?
