Backups or starters, the defense needs a serious infusion of young talent.  Who, besides Maddox and Milton Williams, will even be on the roster in two years?

It would be organizational malpractice if this draft isn’t defense-oriented

Sweat, Milton, Taylor, McPhearson, Tarron Jackson, Maddox…maybe Patrick Johnson. That’s probably about it.

Colts getting some breaks so far. Refs miss a false start on 4th and 1 + recover their fumble.

Not sure where I am on the CHI/MIN game.

A Vikings win helps us only if Miami loses.

A Bears win hurts the Giants.

Win/win!

More players that some of us talked about in 2020 who would have been better than Reagor.  Patrick Queen making plays.

Vikings.  Help yourself first.

Besides, a Bears loss might not matter if the Seahawks also lose to Arizona.   I think that keeps them locked at 8.

Miami loses - Minnesota and Cleveland (Atlanta won't matter)

Miami wins - New Orleans (Pittsburgh plays Baltimore)

Why won’t Atlanta matter.

If they can’t get Rodgers, Watson or Wilson they should trade back in all 3 picks if they can honestly for 2023 firsts. Those picks one way or another must end with them getting a franchise QB. Keep stocking up on future drafts until they they have them in a loaded QB draft class.

Jalen Reagor with Smith out most of the game, no Goedert and a more pass happy QB is Minshew and this guy goes 2-19. In the off-season, this organization needs to rid themselves of Reagor, JJ and Dillard, no questions asked.

I’m guessing cause tiebreaker goes by worse strength of schedule that atlanta would still have a worse strength of schedule.

SOS.

If you traded to 27-29 range you could pick up an extra 2nd round pick

I'm doing that all day. That gives us 5 players in the top 2 rounds.

Their strength of schedule is really bad.  Not likely to get better than Miami's, especially if Atlanta beats NO, thus making their SOS even worse.  (NO's record counts twice for ATL)

So I have a question for you college football guys. Maybe I've missed it but how come no one mentions Brandon Smith LB from Penn state?

St Brown looks like he’s going to be a steal

A question for the group…I know our DBs got roasted last night, but I thought many times that it simply looked like busted coverage rather than guys getting beat in coverage.

I pin more on inexperience (across the board) than necessarily a lack of talent, so for me, I’ll walk away more optimistic about that part of last night than 51 would lead you to think.

Where do you guys net out with that?

that was my bottom-line as well.

Bummer, confirmed torn ACL for Tyree Jackson.  TE is also a huge need.

Dillard was fine last night.  But should be traded regardless:

He will probably go in 2nd. The first rounders getting the attention are Dean out of Georgia and Lloyd out of Utah.

Huge?

He was our #3 developmental TE.

Their SOS is pretty close to Atlanta’s. Not sure what the final numbers will be.
