It has nothing to do with me not thinking Goedert is good.  He's very good.  I explained reasons for wanting to trade Goedert instead of Ertz quite a bit heading up to the draft and earlier in this season.

- spending top 5 money at TE is a luxury the Eagles IMO, can't afford.  There are FARR too many holes on defense and even WR where that money could be spent.

- The Eagles/Hurts don't go to Goedert enough to justify spending top 3 money on.  Less than 5 targets a game isn't going to cut it.

- Ertz is still playing at a very high level and I think you could have extended him for 2 years cheaper than they are paying Goedert.

- The return for Goedert would have been more than a 5th and Gowan.  I used the Hayden Hurst trade as an example.  2nd and a 5th for Hurst and a 4th.

- The next few drafts are going to have A LOT of talent at TE.

- 2022 TE FA class is the strongest position available in FA.

It has nothing to do with being lukewarm on Goedert.  It's more of a big picture, use of resources and what's available viewpoint.  If the FA class had next to nothing, there wasn't talent in the draft and Ertz was in clear clear decline, then sure it's a no brainer.  

The Giants just had their first WR TD catch since late October and their focus of this entire past offseason was adding WRs. Man that is a bad look by Gettleman

This isn't the only Colts game I have watched all year. In fact I have watched about half of them. He has not been that bad. Today he is def stinking up the joint. And the Balt game on MNF he wasn't good.
