He outsmarted himself because his players busted their run fits? How about the DL personnel? Are they the same too?

Bucky is completely misunderstanding what the hell he watched.

Makes sense.

This timeout-gate is ridiculous.

The Raiders were going to run the ball.  Just stop them on third down.  Game over.

Staley is getting s*** on by the entire football world, and it's hilarious.

And Gary Anderson was perfect on FGs in 1998. You don't plan on a kicker making a 50+ yard FG when you don't even need to win the freaking game. Are you serious right now?

So they are gonna take the tie to play KC who whooped their asses twice  instead of a Fing Bengals with potentially 3 seconds left and Carlson who’s crushed it two years in a row from that distance (90%), in a dome, at home. oooooh i forgot to mention he’s yet to miss a field goal in allegiant stadium since it opened last year. I will guarantee if there’s 3 seconds left in the game, they are kicking it to try to go to Cincinnati over playing the chiefs and if they miss they get a tie anyway

The only way the Chargers could win it would be to block it and return it. the odds are way more in their favor they miss it and settle for a tie or hit it and the game is over.

just so you know if you want to talk about blocked field goals. In 2021 there was a 11 blocked field goals. Did you know the most and highest percentage of blocked field goals came from 40-49 yards: as 7 of the 11 blocked field goals came from 40-49 yards. That’s 64% of all blocked field goals this year came from 40-49 yards. Meanwhile only one came 50+ yards or more. So the Raiders really shouldn’t have been kicking a 47 yard field goal at the end if they were worried it was going to be blocked.

Honestly, this says a lot more about the football world.

Chargers/Bengals would've been awesome.

Watching Brandon Staley consistently outsmart himself makes me appreciate Doug Pederson's aggressiveness so much more. Staley does what the Twitter guy would do; Pederson had an actual feel for an NFL game.

Yep. They obviously were playing not to lose, but wanted to be opportunistic. The opportunity presented itself.

He’s wrong too. It’s amazing how many football people can’t understand simple concepts.

You know what smokes great? This Carson Wentz pack.

Twitter is on fire tonight, what a cap to the season.

i believe they probably wanted to get at least 2 or more yards to feel more confident kicking that field goal. Chargers run defense was awful all year and was awful on that play. That lost the game.

I don't know how Staley will shake this game, he is getting mercilessly clowned.

I'd have to see the situation play out. I was half-watching/half-scrolling twitter. At the end of the day, if you're calling timeouts with 30 seconds left in that situation, you messed something up. Every second coming off that clock was crucial.

He called the TO to put in his best run personnel. It really had nothing to do with saving time.

That’s what my points been. If there’s like 3 seconds left in that game if the clock runs down, i think the raiders are gonna kick that field goal anyway.

The chargers wouldve have to stop the raiders from gaining any positive yardage or gotten a loss of yardage and Staley would’ve had to call a timeout right after to create a potential punt. That’s why the chargers called the timeout to try to get that stop.

The timeout was called with 4 seconds on the play clock and 38 seconds on the game clock.

A stuffed run would have ended the game.  The Chargers let Jacobs gain 10 yards.  That is why they lost.
