It sounds scary to say we got the best match-up against Brady and the Bucs, but we did.  Winnable game with ground and pound offense, but our lack of QB and our porous D could be our undoing.  Just don't fall behind.

You've got to give credit to Howie for that.

If Nakobe Dean drops to 15 I say we take him. The defense needs an alpha LBer badly.

First Bucs/eagles playoff game since the closing of the vet.

I’m still not over that one.

Was there.....was freezing our nay nays off, the Bucs never won in the cold, we had beaten them like 1,000 times in a row, pre-game getting flashed by chicks in the parking lot of the old Holiday Inn.......we score first!  We are going to the Super Bowl!!!  Then f'ing Andy forgot that beating Tampa and their Cover 2 was due to them running the ball and passed the whole f'ing game!  That and having two slow old f's in the middle of the field on D in Bishop and Kirkland killed us.  Yes.....I too am not over that one.

So... Raiders-Chargers almost ended in a tie.  That would have been hilarious.

Dreams and Nightmares

The Eagles and the Bucs are tied up at 10-10 in the All Time Series.   2-2 for the Playoffs.   But the Eagles are 2-0 against the Bucs in Wild Card Weekend.    Donovan's 1st Two Playoff Wins was against the Bucs.

Eagles double Gronk and Evans and they got a real good chance of winning , losing AB and Godwin is basically losing two number one receivers , they have to make Perriman , Jonson , Miller , Brate and Fornett beat them . IMO you won’t beat the Bucs just lining up and running at them all day , especially if David ,JPP and Shaq are back  , I also don’t see Brady being sacked much if at all , their OL is too good and Brady gets rid of it to fast . again I could be wrong but I think the Eagles will need a balanced offense to win , and they can’t let the Bucs get ahead dbl digits and force the eagles to be one dimensional .  all the bucs do is win , but they make it harder than it should be , they are like 25 -4 since their bye last year

Fair assessment . I think the Bucs win big. The Eagles got in because of a very weak division. Even the very top (Dallas) is weak. I agree that we will have to be balanced if we have any shot.

I wouldn’t want to make a living agreeing with Bacarty but I guess if he’s right about something, he deserves his props so…

This is for you Bacarty.

Um they didn't exactly try to do that.

Should we lose, we sit at 15, 16 and 19 correct?

Correct

I’m aware of that. It was a joke stemming from his claim that Indy would sit Wentz before allowing us to get a top 15 pick.

Maybe we could trade back their 16 for Taylor

Eagles 17

Hurts gets a Ray Rice beat down by Suh and Vea

If the Chargers were serious about winning the game, they should have went for 2 with 0 seconds on the clock. Chargers had all the momentum + Raiders defense was completely gassed after back to back long drives. Chargers were comfortable tying, so they kick the extra point...but there's risk with that approach.

Birds hold Bucs under 100 yards rushing.

Yep you give him Credit for getting a 1st rd pick for both Bradford and Wentz.

And you put that up against wasting 1st rd picks on :

Reagor, Marcus Smith, Danny Watkins - absolute busts

His mediocre 1st rd Picks:

Agholor, Dillard (cant stay healthy nor beat out a 7th rd project in Mailata)

And this doesn't even bring into question his 2nd rd busts : Jjaw, Jones, Rowe, Matthews,Jarrett,Nate Allen

I go Lloyd over Dean but that thought may change after tomorrow.

Don't let it. Dean has to play in a system where he gets protected by big DTs. Otherwise he's just too small. I_P's draft is really good, save for that pick, IMHO.

Wouldn’t it be something if the Bucs go one-and-done after their improbable fluke of a SB win, where they beat Brees, Rodgers, and Mahomes — only to lose to Jalen Hurts in the WC round.

Not likely to happen unfortunately.  Tom Brady against a porous Eagles pass defense isn’t a very good matchup.  Brady wasn’t great until the Super Bowl in the playoffs last year, but the Bucs will do enough to advance.

@LeanMeanGM

Bucs 33, Eagles 20

Bold predictions — Hurts < 60%, Hurts leads Eagles in rush yards

Agreed — I want to like Nakobe Dean’s film, but I don’t see stud NFL LB there.  Spend the 3 first round picks on DE, CB, S and hopefully have a chance at Harris or Brandon Smith in the 2nd round.
