To add to this.  my concern stems from outside of 2017 since the start of the decade, the eagles resemble an organization have been a team stuck in purgatory without that 2017 season. As great as 2017 was and pray i get to see that type of season again, the rest of the decade has been a team that is quite frankly purgatory. They have 1 playoff win outside of 2017 since 20010. Outside of the one legit contender they created in 2017, they made the playoffs 4 times and missed 6 in the other 10 seasons. They are still searching and have an unknown at the QB position. Which tends to be the case with the eagles since mcnabb left outside of 3-4 seasons.  They have draft picks but it feels like every year alternates with good draft then bad draft. And howie for every great move he makes one offseason he tends to have a regression the next. So as much as i love and appreciate 3 firsts they mean nothing until they cash in on them.

That's due to their inability to draft well when they are drafting in that position.  If you can't find the players that ARE there when you are on the clock, you will continue to yo-yo up and down... get to the magic spot where Howie can find players, in the top 12, then they bounce back up again.

Ultimately though, they need to find players when they draft in the late teens and 20s to be truly sustainable and to become truly elite in the league.

Now they finally bring in a real return guy

So I looked at the seven seeds from last season.  The Bears were 8-8.  Pretty similar to us, an average team in a big market.

This season, the Bears were on Sunday and Monday night twice each.  Other than the obligatory Cowboy game on SNF, there are some nice matchups to choose from.

Home: Cowboys, Giants, Washington, Packers, Vikings, Jaguars, Titans, Saints, Steelers.

Road: Cowboys, Giants, Washington, Bears, Lions, Texans, Colts, Cardinals.

Is it wrong to say that I prefer Sunday at 1PM, or even 4:30 to the primetime games?

Maybe but it's pretty likely it will be a Brady slobberfest. It might not be as bad as Michaels/Collinsworth but I can't handle it.

I'm convinced Brady is either dead or retired on a private island, whatever is portrayed as Tom Brady football QB is likely some type of AI cyborg, I mean look at his face it's not natural looking, pretty sure it's plastic covering some kind of poly Carbonite.

I agree - I wouldn’t be surprised by a real NT either (not necessarily in the 1st , but by Day 2) Remember that guy complaining in the draft room when we got Milton - he wanted Alim McNeil, big body who went to DET. Then Howie got the USC kid in the 6th who isn’t too good. Might need a guy like that in the middle when Gannon goes with the 3 DL front.

That guy was Tom Donahue, and I remember it well and thought about how it looks now with Milton having a fine first year.

I know we can't exactly compare a NT with a 3-technique guy, but still, Milton has so far made Howie look fine with this pick if you look at top line stats:

Also if you look further, like at snap counts and %, they're pretty comparable despite Alim being named a starter I think early on. Source: https://stathead.com/tiny/KIl4h

It makes articles such as this pretty funny in retrospect, and something to remember when we get too hyped in either direction about who we picked and who we passed up - and how we got suckered (let's not bring up Regor over JJ though - I defended it at the time and I'd like to pretend that it never happened...) or suckered others (except stealing DeVonta - that one still make me feel all warm and cozy inside...).

To my knowledge not well

He was a great KR in college and looked good at KR the other day but not sure about his PR ability

One would think if coaches were comfortable with him there they would have him active game day to return kicks and punts, maybe with JJAW out they activate 5 RBs???

We broke the Vikings!

You've gotta think whoever gets hired as Giants GM would make it a condition of hire that Judge only gets one year before they've got the OK to fire him.

Listening to McNabb who "mentors" Hurts on the radio and he apparently doesn't know what year of his career Hurts is even in.

Great mentorship.

What did McNabb say -- rookie or Year 3?

This from the same guy who didn't know a game could end in a tie...

I definitely prefer the day games too.

I didn't see Reagor on IR?

But no, I don't think he can. He didn't at all in college, Lions tried it with him and he was supposedly really bad with drops.

Exactly. I Fing hope they do it. I am eagles fan. I very much like them to crush it and be even more exciting with a team that is built for sustainable success. And make me say words about their greatness to the point of where i can’t say anything otherwise. However I’m not forgetting the 6 years prior to 2017 that were really not very good for the most part. Nor the roller coaster from 2018 til now. 2017 was 4 seasons ago. That’s an eternity in the nfl. At some point in it is going to be 10 seasons. I don’t want our best accomplishment in the 10 seasons that past to be well we consistently won 9 games and made the playoffs but really didn’t have a realistic shots at winning the damn trophy.

Well, listen, if he's only mentoring Hurts on the radio, they must not be that close 😉
