Devon White is 6'0, 237 ;lbs.
Lavonte Davis is 6'1, 233 lbs.

If Dean can get to 6'0, 230 at the combine, he'll be ok.

That said, Gannon came from the Colts' system that loves long-armed LBs (Leonard, Okereke). He had Barr at OLB who was a freak.

The only smaller LB he had was Eric Kendricks at 6'0, 232lbs. Kendricks was light with short-arms, but smart and athletic. Dean does fit that mold at MLB.

Of course, Kendricks was drafted in the middle of RD2 and not in the top 20.

That'll move a person up some draft boards.

This tweet is not gonna work out for ESP.

Yah, I don't get it. I don't think he's worthy of a top 10 pick, but I'm going to push back that he can't work in the NFL

I don't think it was a bad game for Dean - but was a really good game for Christian Harris and like having a couple of options at LB.

Not that he has a pretty good mind for anything, and I agree with his overall premise -- but put Slay on Mike Evans all day, and double Gronk.  Then the toughest problem becomes the fact that Brady will still throw to Tyler Johnson, Brate, Howard and Scotty Miller all day, wherever the mismatch is.

We were told all pre draft last year Pitts and Smith were too small too they had good rookie seasons

I think Perriman becomes a fav target

I’m shocked Dennis Allen isn’t getting looks , his defenses have been stout , the only DC I seen shut down both Brady  and Rodgers in the same year .

Really does not matter who covers who.  There will be multiple matchups every play that favor Tampa Bay, and Brady will exploit them.  The only option is to pressure, pressure, pressure.

Did you forget who our DC is?  😄😄

Am I crazy for thinking Dean looks similar to Genard Averys play style? I think Dean is a much better pass rusher and much faster. I'm a little hesitant to spend a high draft pick on him, but if the Birds miss out on a DE early, they may need to pull the trigger on him later in the 1st.

Dean is already listed at 6ft 225lbs by Georgia, and we all know those numbers are higher than reality when they get to the combine.

The only real chance defensively is if Hargrave plays like the first 6 games of the season, and Cox plays to earn his salary.  Those guys have to move Brady off his spot and bother him, even if it isn't a bunch of sacks.  This is quite unlikely to happen, but it's the Eagles best shot.

Who said Pitts was too small?

This is who I am hoping we use one of the firsts on. Can play across the line. Grab him plus an end in round 1. The third 1st rounder either trade back or take best defensive player on the board.

Agreed.

I thought the same, unless he really **** the bed in Oakland, he should be getting some looks, but can anyone count Oakland as legitimate?  Like the Jets.

Or....Barnett Tonya Harding's Brady.....I don't want that, but of all the guys in the league to take a cheap shot.....

Wondering, if we go heavy defense early, if Cowboy fans will claim that we are copying their approach from last year.

Because, of course, they were the first franchise to ever focus on one side of the football.

Too bad they couldn't copy our 21st century approach to winning playoff games.
