What's the Eagles equivalent to the Colts' loss to the Jags? I'm having trouble finding one. Playoff loses don't apply because they were at least good teams.

The 2010 Vikings / Eagles game. aka the Joe Webb game. Eagles were heavy favorites going into that game. Vikings finished their season at 6-10.

I want to watch the game you are describing.  Sadly, I think it may exist only in your fantasy world.

Is this another Carson Wentz sucks thread?

Maybe just a little bit of gloating.  Jalen Hurts is in the playoffs, Carson Wentz is not.

Oh YEAH!  Forgot that was the Joe Webb game.  Ugh.

Yes.  That's the most painful in recent regular season memory.  We were 10-4 at the time, too.

He'll play the no big play defense until TB punches themselves out (using up their scripted first 15) - then he'll unleash all that trickeration.  Yeah, that's the ticket.

the Giants game in my opinion was worse. Jags > Giants

That was the one game Joe Judge wanted to win all season and it was a divisional opponent but that's probably the closest this season.

Maybe Howie made Sirianni intentionally lose the game so the Giants would keep Joe Judge another season.

That was the big let down game after the incredible comeback win against the Giants.

No.  Brady is going to firmly grasp his torch and beat Jalen over the head with it.

🤣 🤣

I'm expecting similar to the first game, Tampa will do enough to win but not much more.

I don't think Jalen will need to win the game in a comeback.  I expect the Eagles to cruise to an early lead and then maybe give up a couple of garbage time scores so Brady doesn't have to retire in disgrace.

They have had to be vanilla all season otherwise teams would have them figured out for the playoff run.

15ish years ago the Eagles needed a win by an abysmal Raiders team to get into the playoffs. Raiders won. If I remember correctly the backup RB broke two long TD runs.

They are taking it pretty, pretty well.

That drink will cost you a 1st round pick and $30m a year in salary too.  Have a nice day!

Some Colts fans say it’s the equivalent of the SB loss to Namath.

Just because Tampa has all of the good players and the Eagles do not, does not mean the outcome is a foregone conclusion.

The Colts have a message board?

Just by reading some of their posts, they are far more respectful and non combative than NFC East fans, definitely some naïveté going on.

For whatever reason, I laughed about this for 15 minutes, just imagining the Neck Beard getting dissed was hilarious, I’m guessing it doesn’t happen often playing D&D.

That game was right after the miracle at the Meadowlands. What a disappointment.

They have a short memory.  They have not won in Jacksonville since 2014.  They have been wrecked several times.

2015 lost 51-16

2016 lost 30-27 ( played in London )

2017 lost 30-10

2018 lost 6-0

2019 lost 38-20

2020 lost 27-20

Apparently playing the Jags in Jacksonville, or in London is their kryptonite.

In 2014, I attended the loss at Washington, who were 3-11 heading into that game, which pretty much killed off our playoff hopes that year. Not as bad as that Colts' loss to the Jags though.

I was going to mention that. We were 9-3 that season after spanking the cowboys on Thanksgiving. Went 1-3 to finish the season and  didn't make the playoffs. Beginning of the end of Chip K.

I had a similar reaction when I read someone say they hated Novak Djokovic because "he pounds his chest and screams into his opponent's face".  I've never seen Djokovic do that, but the visual struck me as extremely funny

Which game is that?

Didn't we get beat by Jamarcus Russell?

I think he's referring to 2008 when the Eagles needed several dominoes to fall to have a chance at a playoff berth.  They all fell, and the Eagles went out and smashed DAL in the 44-6 game.

We somehow lost to G-men this year… inconceivable.

Yep, in 2009. Looks like that one was an Andy Reid Special (46 passes to 12 runs)

Apparently I pushed that game far back into my memory. I forgot about that abomination.
