My way too early predictions for head coach hires this cycle:

CHI -- Doug Pederson

NYG -- Brian Flores

DEN -- Brian Daboll

MIN -- Eric Bieniemy

JAX -- Bill O'Brien

MIA -- Jim Harbaugh

I can't imagine Bears' fans would be happy with hiring Pederson. Pederson is also a candidate in Minnesota.  I could see him as a leading candidate for that job.   Baalke is pushing for O'Brien reportedly so I'm guessing O'Brien is the likely hire.  The Giants could go with Flores but they interviewed McDaniel last year.  They also interviewed Bieniemy.  The Miami owner denied that they had Harbaugh in mind.  Pederson should be a candidate in Miami given the perception he's good at developing QBs.  They need a ton of help on offense.

Eagles win by only 2TDs?

I do think the Bucs are ripe for the picking, but the porous Eagles pass defense against the Bucs pass offense is just too terrible a matchup.  The real drama will be what Hurts can show if/when the Bucs front 7 close down his run lanes.

LV?

I think they stick with Bisaccia for a try out year. There's a lot of teams looking for coaches while they are in the playoffs.

I think they keep their interim guy.  If not, then I could see Davis making a hire like Leftwich

After watching the Championship game on my DVR, all Howie has to do is take the BPA from Alabama and Georgia each pick.

I am doing everything I can to get pumped up for the game, I think we lose by 3 scores, and the game won't be as close as the final score.

Just a few I could see landing a HCing job  Moore , Leftwich , Kiffin , McDaniels , Getsy is another young offensive guy

Yeah, that's all he has to do.  But in 2019 he could have drafted a guy from LSU who had 333 yards in the 2 college playoff games ( Jefferson ), instead he drafted a guy from TCU.

The NY fans and media have been unanimous in their disdain for Judge the past few weeks.

Added to that, any GM candidate Mara may have already talked to has surely said they're bringing in their own head coach.

No reasonable GM candidate would wanna be tied to that delusional fraud.

I think he's referring to 2008 when the Eagles needed several dominoes to fall to have a chance at a playoff berth.  They all fell, and the Eagles went out and smashed DAL in the 44-6 game.

You’re right. It was 2008.

Michael Bush ran for a 67 yard TD to take the lead with under 8 minutes left. Losing to that Jamarcus Russell team is on par with losing to the Jaguars.

The Eagles have had pretty good playoff luck over the last 30 years. I don’t remember anything overly devastating.

The loss to Steve Buerlein in the early-to-mid-90’s the second-to-last week of the season was sickening, though. Emmitt Smith went over 100 yards for the first time against the Eagles. It knocked the Eagles out of the playoffs. I believe they beat the SB champ Redskins the next week and finished 10-6.

Giants have draft picks, have some talent at WR, but are in Eagles division, and hate em or not, the Eagles are never bad for more than one year.  Turn around that franchise and you’ll be a hero in NY, the media will pick you apart no matter what.  Both 1st round picks have to be for O-line, if not, walk away.

Baalke and whomever the Jags hire won’t last long, 2 years maybe, hopefully Lawrence is good and saves your job to see 3 years.

As for the Bears going in you gotta know if Fields is the guy or not, because if he is, convincing him to be great shouldn’t be all that hard because they’ve never had a great QB, well in the past 40-50 years they haven’t. You can reach immortality in Chicago as a great QB.  As a coach, you have to deal with Ditka fans, he’s nothing more than a mustache and a cigar, but he’s revered there nonetheless and you’ll always be compared to him, if you think you can win the big game, Chicago is the place to be.  On the downside, Lovie had some success there, 81-63 and fired after he went 10-6, you gotta keep that in mind.  I don’t know anything about their picks, or cap situation but if they aren’t willing to spend serious capital on the O-Line, don’t walk away, Run!!

The dream scenario has the Giants getting pressured into hiring:

I do like the thread on the old ESPN message board.  They mentioned one guy Muzzy.  I think he also posted on the old EMB. He was the one who figured out San Francisco hadn't correctly exercised their option on TO meaning he was a free agent.

I think he’s qualified enough; people just don’t want to recognize he’s being choosy (or selective) about who he’s willing to interview with.  He’s not going to take a head coaching gig with the Jets or Texans, for instance.

There isn’t any grand plot or racial bias against hiring him.

This is such a bummer, but this is how we got Dickerson in RD2 last year.

Trade down for Williams works for me!

Absolutely devastating to see a kid’s future get hurt in his last game.

First round talents in round 2 after an isolated acl are generally a very good investment.

First round talents with achilles injury drop to round 3.

Thats what nfl team orthopedics generally advise GMs.

For really special talents, GMs say F it and will draft the acl injuries in first round anyway.

And yet we have trolls around these parts blasting kids for sitting in a meaningless final game as if they were the game we saw last night.
