Different runners have different levels of effectiveness in bad weather.  For 'move' guy, Gale Sayers was an all-time great 'mudder'.  John Riggins was much more power matched with speed and was another great 'mudder'.  Barry Sanders is a guy I don't recall ever having much success in bad weather.

Best mudder I ever saw was Leroy Kelly of the Browns. The real Browns.

I think that was a flex to get out of this situation after being steamrolled by Lowie on his coaching staff the year before.  That made him look really bad, he and his QB seemed to have a falling out and it was time for him to move on.  I don't think that it was a move he believed in as much as a move he knew would get him fired... and I think he was absolutely fine with it.  And... he got paid anyway not to coach.  He certainly didn't seem to be in a hurry to jump back in, but got to travel a little, see everything from a new perspective and just take a deep breath from where he was.    I have zero doubt that he'll go somewhere else and be successful again.  Maybe not a SB, they are hard to come by and no coach that I can recall has ever won a Super Bowl with two different teams... only have gotten to Super Bowls with multiple teams.  Vermeil, Parcells, Reeves... any others

Shula and Holmgren are the ones I can think of

And Andy of course

Eagles only forced 4 fumbles all year; TB forced 12.  A wet field and footballs is probably not to the Eagles' advantage.

Windy conditions would be advantage Eagles -- Brady's passes being affected by wind, while Hurts' ..... runs ... not so much.

Sanders in the rain....

Sunday is going to be glorious:

Eagles win to move into the 2nd round to bury the Packers dreams followed by the 49ers dismantling the Cowboys at Jerry's World of Horrors.  Can't wait.

Once this shaky O-line finally gets pass protection settled down, look out!

The Bucs have incredible speed and agility at LB with White and David. If the rain can slow them down a bit, and maybe Vea is somewhat movable, the offense might have a puncher’s chance.

He never seemed to have an issue in New England in a cold wind.  I don't see it being that big a deal in Tampa.

Of course I forget the most recent one!   . Must be a sign of aging.

Thank you.  People act like it is 80 and sunny in Foxborough this time of year.  Weather will not be an issue for Brady.

I'm starting to feel it... by Sunday I will be all Herb Brooks about this game.

Lesean in the snow game was an all-time great bad weather performance.  Not exactly playing in mud but not ideal conditions for cutting.

🤣

Imagine complaining about the pass protection on this team.

Brady is a tuck rule away from being a nobody.

  That would be one game...  but what about the rest of them?

Or is this a Marvel What If? episode?

interesting statement to put out.

I'll go on record and say that if Reich gets fired and Doug gets a new HC job, Reich becomes the OC for Doug again... and they go on to success again together... and if they get the band back together with DeFilippo as well...
