Very sad to hear that Ronnie Spector has died.

What a voice. Truly iconic.

Horse crap. Most of "her” songs were sung by Cher and Darlene Love.
listen to Be My Baby and tell me that’s not Cher.

So use those draft picks to get good young talent on cheap rookie deals.  Although I wouldn't be opposed to trading one of the first round picks for a veteran difference maker on defense if one becomes available this offseason.

The Bucs have incredible speed and agility at LB with White and David. If the rain can slow them down a bit, and maybe Vea is somewhat movable, the offense might have a puncher’s chance.

One of the noticeable patterns that was illuminated in the Cowboys game was that running plays between the Guards and Center were much less successful than running plays between the Guards and Tackles.  That may be a natural mitigation of the Impact of Vea.

I will stick with another Brown, Larry Brown was tough as nails and definitely a mudder

I am on board with that... but, the interesting thing is that right now, only certain schools can actually compete for the NC.   Is that going to get better or worse moving forward with this model?

My only issue is that a commitment should be a commitment.  You committed to do 'x'... so you do it, even if you don't like it.  Or, pay back what you got but didn't complete.

They have to tolerate X despite having an elite skill that is also a highly marketable commodity. Certainly a college education is a valuable commodity but it’s a false dichotomy to say they must trade their marketable skill for it even Steven

Eagles 31

Bucs 27

Sanders has two TDs after not having any during the regular season.

Wow.  With such attention to detail... either Miles Sanders is way bigger than I thought, or the Ben Franklin Bridge is much much smaller.   Either way, it's good to have a back that big for a playoff game.

Spoiler

He trips over the bridge and hurts his shin

FYP

Bucs 38, Eagles 27

Prediction: Brady 80% comp, 400+ yards, and 4 TDs

@LeanMeanGM

Father Time catches up to Brady. He slips on the wet grass and goes out with a groin in the second quarter

If it's a business then let the free market decide what they should get.   Allow student athletes to make as much money as they can as an athlete for their likeness.  Allow them to do TV commercials.  Allow schools to offer more than scholarships.  If schools could offer cash or boosters were willing to pay athletes, let them.  Stop pretending it's not big business and there's some integrity to not paying these players.

It's a business to the colleges not the athletes. You or someone you know never did an unpaid internship in law school? Just because the colleges are making money it doesn't mean the kids have to or they aren't getting something out of it for themselves. Even if they don't make the pros they are getting a free education, free meals, and free housing. At a lot of schools that package is worth more than a lot of people make in a year. Think about the cost of a one bedroom apartment and how much food costs each week for people not living on Ramen?

Boosters already slip money to kids. Doing it on a widespread basis would kill most of the things we love about college sports.

If the roster is so talented, why fire the GM?

So the guy that drafted Jefferson is out of the playoffs and fired.

And the guy that drafted Reagor is in the playoffs and is as secure as ever.

The NFL is a weird place...

There's significantly more to being a GM than drafting players.

Corrected.

It is a team game, fans tend to focus on the most visible players, but games are often won by unsung heroes.

He sucks at QB evaluations

Two postseason wins in 10 years.  That weighs heavier than drafting a WR who puts up numbers for two losing seasons.  They’ve been an unmitigated failure since that 2017 season.

Because he laughed at us selecting Reagor.  He deserves to be fired.
