In other news….what do you guys think of Quez Watkins?   Has he made the leap to be considered a starter in the NFL?

I like him as a back up outside WR and someone you can dial up plays for. But he shouldn't be the starter across from Smith. That needs to be either another high draft pick or a FA like  Mike Williams.

For as bad as TATE seems sometimes, the absolute dumbest fans have to be on twitter. I've lost count how many times people have unironically suggested running the Philly Special against Tampa to "rattle Brady". As if we haven't already seen that once this year turn into an abject failure.

Twitter is minor league dumb.  Go follow the Bleeding Green Nation facebook page.  That is major league stupidity.

No. It matters because a drama class isn’t a multibillion dollar commodity. NCAA sports are. So drama students get zero percent of zero dollars they generate. NCAA athletes get zero dollars of billions they generate.

this really isn’t complicated…

But, they do get a free education and that really isn't complicated either.

Probably the biggest "what if" play in team history.

If Alshon makes that catch, do we win and go on to another Super Bowl?

Still another whole game to be played even if they go on to win that game.  Not that big a 'what if' to me.

What a betrayal, smh, Carson must continue his search for the team that will truly appreciate him.

That's all that matters to them.  It's a marketing thing for them at this point and the real message is most likely falling on deaf ears.  Notice how they went from EVERYTHING being pink in October to now next to nothing.  They evolved it to Crucial Catch but the NFL made TONS of money by selling pink merchandise.  It was nauseating to look at on Sundays in October.  It's not that I or many don't support breast cancer research, it's the NFL doesn't know when to stop.  It went from pink accessories...maybe wrist bands or gloves to fields being painted pink, everything in the stadium that could be turned pink was pink and so on.

NFL Breast Cancer Awareness Revenue

Social justice is trendy and popular now.  Hate to say it like that because everyone deserves to be treated equal but pro sports, pop culture, Hollywood and everything that falls in between have taken it to the next level.  Post George Floyd, everyone panicked as to how they would look and be judged.  The Dixie Chicks dropped Dixie from their name, The Redskins, Indians and Edmonton Eskimos all dropped their names, Lady Antebellum is now Lady A.  The NFL just sees an opportunity to join the club.  The end zone messages, helmet bumpers, commercials, the Black National Anthem before important games and events...it's all just a marketing campaign and they will make money.

Look what costs $32 and is all over the sidelines the last few weeks.  The NFL is and always will be driven by money.

NFL is getting only 1%, and I would guess that is to support the administration of the program.

The manufacturer needs to get paid for making the merchandise.  It's the retailer's share that should be examined.

The NFL isn't trying to make money on this type of merchandise.  They are branding themselves as socially aware to keep from losing fans that watch them on TV, bolster ratings, and drive ad revenue.

Pretty sure it won't rattle Brady unless he decides to play both  ways that game

Hmmmm...

I was somewhat surprised to hear that they are "down” on him.  Seemed like he was having a decent season up until the last few games, anyway.

I hear ya.  To me it was always if he makes the catch, with the momentum, etc decent chance they go on to win that game but assuming they go on and win the Super Bowl is another story, imo.

2 games. Without Brooks going forward as well. The 2018 team was not that good. Barely snuck into the playoffs, won the first game on a fluke 43 yard double doink, and then was MIA for 45 mins of the Saints game.

And most importantly....

The catch was just a first down in a game they were losing!

Except that they had all that momentum before that drop... so who's to say that Nick doesn't throw a pick on the very next play?  They don't fumble... there's not a strip sack.

"That's why they play the games."

What if there's no double doink the week before?   Eagles are already eliminated.  Except they weren't.

In other news....

He only mentioned getting to the Super Bowl, not winning it.

True. I've lost my mind over this stupid play so much I just assume everyone that brings it up thinks we win the Super Bowl because Jefferey makes a first down.

McCoy is moron.  That was the "funny one”?

Exactly, that stuff needs to stay in the locker room. Brees doesn’t need to hear Brady **** all over him, and it’s typical a-hole Brady.

Yup. Reich was very non committal also.

And, it's remarkable that there are still excuses being made for him.

The Colts had unanimously one of the top OL's in football the year before. They must have just forgot how to play when Carson got there.

I'm sure it's just bad luck.

Such bad luck.

They had some injuries, Covid and their center miss time after the death of his newborn.

That said, Reich noted that they were going to need Wentz to win a game for them this year, and he came up short the last two weeks.

Well, I watched most of that game on Sunday, and the OL was not the problem.

Taylor had something like 18 rushing yards at halftime and got stuffed on fourth and 1 twice. It was a problem.

No, Jax decided to take Taylor away and make Wentz try to beat them.

NFL teams do that.
