Guys. New Orleans put out the blueprint to figure out Tom Brady!! He's been exposed! It only took 21 years but the blueprint to beat him is out there!

Could be.  He's played well in stretches this year though.

FYP

I'd say when a team invests in what they believe to be a franchise QB and it doesn't work out, hate can reasonably be expected.

Brees was 5-7 in the playoffs in his final 11 seasons.  Some real disappointments.  But he delivered in 2009, so the town loves him.

Eli was really no better than McNabb, but he delivered in the post season.  He will undeservingly get into Canton because of that.

Indy and their fans/media are just upset.  The losses to end the year still sting.  They will get over and Wentz will be back in 2022.

Now if he does a repeat or regresses more than they'll likely move on.

Either that or he'll get traded to CLE straight-up for Mayfield.  Browns fans and media are down on him as well.

You’ve probably gone over this already but if Kelce retires, who do you think is currently best suited to take over the center role?   Or should they look for one in the draft?

Seumalo would be my first choice. He can move and he has good size and experience.

I like Linderbaum a lot but the thought of him trying to block the likes of Jordan Davis worries me. Michigan's center Vastardis is a first-rate player and he had no chance against that monster.

I doubt the concussion has had the effect you’re describing. I think it’s looking for excuses for why he hasn’t been the same, and the fact of the matter is 2017 is the outlier.

I doubt it.  But crazier things have happened.

I stated before, my daughter had a learning disability.  Even without a PhD, I am very familiar with how the brain works.

A concussion can definitely have an effect on the pathways in the brain.  If some are impaired, the brain will adapt and use ones that aren't.  But that "rerouting" manifests itself in a delay in processing.  Not even full seconds, but measurable.  In the context playing QB, those fractional seconds matter.

Kelce is going have to a challenging match up this weekend - Vita Vea is not easily handled.

There is nothing reasonable about what you just posted.  Hate should be reserved for Dallas and bad individuals that do bad things to innocent people.  Not for a guy who was a good dude, did things for other people and obviously lost his game once the injuries piled up.  When people use HATE when describing McNabb or Wentz....that tells me more about that person than McNabb or Wentz.  It's supports some of the negative opinions of Philly fans.

Like I said.  It's weak and tired.

I didn't say I agree.  But a fan's frustration can easily be targeted towards what they believe to the reason, regardless of target's human qualities.

Basically, I'm not surprised and don't really care.

I understand concussions, and how they can have that type of impact. I don’t believe that to be the case here. I think we would have heard this leak if that were the case. We would have heard sources talking about his processing and recognition. That hasn’t been the case. The only place I’ve heard that is in here.

explains his softness

I wouldn't call him soft.  He plays special teams hard, blocks hard.  Played the rest of that game with a dangling finger.  He just isn't good but I see no reason to call him soft.

Indeed. Lots of double-teams with Dickerson in his future.

Because it opens up the league to all sorts of legal trouble. Ive certainly considered his squash might damaged. Its a reasonable hypothesis

People with lingering effects of a concussion will also have visits with neurologists and do forms cognitive exercises for post-concussion syndrome.

I think if he had lingering effects we would have heard about it.

You doubt injuries have anything to do with his decline?  That's someone looking for a reason to deny it and blame his decline on his own volition.  That makes no sense.  He's hasn't responded properly to adversity....there is no mistaken that.  The injuries as a collective had to have had a negative effect on him.  To deny that is silly.  Still no reason to HATE the guy.

A large portion of the fan base is obsessed with the guy.  Almost as much as they are obsessed with Brady.  We should be better than that.

You can add obsessed with Dallas to that too.

Ever had a bad concussion? I have. It can alter you for longer than a year

Someone else I know did it too and in a pretty big game

That's fair.

If this concussion from 2 years ago, January 2020 I believe is when Clowney hit him, is still affecting him then maybe he shouldn't be playing.  That's his call and he's a tough SOB but if he's having trouble recognizing and processing things then thats not good.  Not good for his health or for Indy if they want to win.

Look you could be right, but the nfl covering up CTE for years was kept very quiet.

Maybe so, then again maybe not. Either way my guess is he won't be playing much longer whether it's from the concussion or he just isn't that good.

Scolding posters for hating on our past quarterbacks while also hating on our current quarterback on the daily is fantastic content.

 Keep it up!

It's pretty amazing how many snaps VV can play at his size.  80% (!) against NO this year, 66% of the total defensive snaps last year (above 50% this year, but injury and game situations might have lightened the load).  I really like JD99, but I wonder how many snaps he can play... are 40 good snaps/game worth a 1st?  Probably yes, as sometimes you don't get any production at all...

You guys are thinking about this WAY too deep.  It's simple: Gingers aren't good at football.
