I don’t care about their defense or OL. It doesn’t change the fact that Wentz is now a bad, bad QB.

So you have a biased opinion.  The Colts, including Carson Wentz played poorly.

Eagles in the playoffs, you can’t stop bringing up Wentz.

Yeah I’ll keep saying it.

Lol, you think I’m the only one talking about Carson Wentz in here this week?

You are incorrect.  You are also incorrect that the Wentz did not play a major part in the Suoer Bowl season.

Only haters bring him up.  Eagles have a playoff game Sunday, why would you even bring him up.  He is irrelevant to the Eagles now.

Cute.

Except I’m just responding to your little pet who can’t seem to quit me.

Colts fans are thirsting for Minshew now, saying at least he can win in Jacksonville. 🤣

So wait?  We aren't the only fans that complain about a player when they play poorly?  No way.

I never said he didn’t. He obviously did. The team had a lot to do with that. I’m stating Foles would have got us there to if he played all year. No way to prove he wouldn’t just like there is no way to prove Wentz wouldn’t have won the SB himself. But that’s just my opinion.

Agree with the irrelevant part. It’s a convo in a message board though. If you don’t like it, then don’t involve yourself. You’re obviously dedicated to defending him. Just like you complained about the Wentz thread still being open when it was and then kept posting in it.

Um, I didn’t bring him up. He had been talked about in here all day, so I joined in.

Not that I have to justify any of that to you or your daddy 4for4.

Why do I keep seeing articles about the upcoming playoff game say the Eagles have a dominant front 4?   Since when?

Sure there is, his own history.  Every season he began as the starter, including with the Eagles, he was hurt and then benched for playing poorly.

Since teams could pay PFF to make up stats for them.

Foles: 32 games started, 8703 yards, 58 TDS, 23 ints

Lets double it With 4 less games as Wentz for comparison:  17,406 yards, 116 TDs, 46 ints

Wentz: 68 games started, 16,811 yards, 113 TDs, 50 ints

Both stats are only with the Eagles. Foles outplayed Wentz in Philly. And you just said Foles played poorly. So what does that make of Wentz?

Yeah, it was his fault that the defense allowed the Jags to March down the field with no resistance on the opening drive.

Did he bang your sister or something, you have an irrational hatred for someone who played a major role in the Eagles winning a Super Bowl.

Mychal Kendricks had a major role In the eagles winning the the super bowl, do you go out of your way to defend him anytime someone rips him.

Wentz doesn't get a free pass, least not from me just because he had one good season in which nick foles won super bowl MVP

Wentz is going to be a punchline in the Eagles fandom for a while to come. Might as well make your peace with the ridicule.

So did Clement, Bradham, Mills, Barnett. No one makes excuses for them.

Flores gives no Fs.

So sure law students sometimes do unpaid internships at places that provide experience.  Those places are never businesses or law firms that run for profit. They are typically places like a prosecutor's office or legal-aid but most of those positions pay.  Importantly, there is no risk to future employment in taking those jobs.  They help make a student learn about a field and make connections.  It's unlikely that you are going to suffer some adverse head injury that risks your career.

The question isn't whether student athletes are getting something of value for their play or even whether what they are getting is fair.  When it comes to players not playing in bowl games or sitting out games because of concern about injury, there is a deficiency in the compensation they receive that does not make the financial risk worthwhile.  This is not because the schools, their supporters or the NCAA could not afford to compensate these athletes to address the risk.  I mean one easy solution is just to buy insurance for them.

I still do not understand why anyone, who thinks capitalism and free markets are good, would oppose students being able to capitalize on their skills as athletes before they join a professional team.  Kids with computer skills or an interest in trading are able to make money with their skills while in school.  Why shouldn't a student athlete?

Because college sports would become about who can pay the most, which will destroy the things we love about it. Suddenly, rivalry games between Oregon and Oregon St become meaningless because Nike can dump millions getting players to the Ducks. Like watching the Big 5? Suddenly every Wharton or Nova grad can dump money into them while St. Joe's, Temple, and La Salle become even more irrelevant. Most teams can't compete every year for a championship but those are fun games to watch. Kiss them goodbye.

Yup, I don't get the justifications and minimization  for Wentz what did he ever actually do?

He had a really good 2017 then got hurt and apparently he was so intregal to the success of that team that when he got injured a career journeyman QB took over and won super bowl MVP.

That team was a really good team, with or without Wentz

No reason to constantly defend Wentz he is what he is and he's gone.

I mean, we did finish 31st in total sacks. That's dominant, right?

It’s baffling we even have that many. I know Hargrave and Sweat make up half but I couldn’t tell you what combo makes up the other half.

So we should be willing to use people and underpay them for their skills for our entertainment? I mean how wrong is that? What does that remind you of in our history?
