Really what you should be doing with it is buying more cell phones.  😂

Who is doing this?  Killing myself plumbing for 25 years, back, neck, shoulders all F’d up, and I could of been selling phones?

If we can pick sides, can I pick the one where selling Boost Mobile at a kiosk in the Mall is on?   That sounds super.

You could have played your guitar on the MTV.  That’s the way you do it.

Money for nothing?  Couldn’t have more than 2 strings.

College - Sorry but its over fellas.  I remember having this discussion with a good friend of mine, Kansas grad.  He told me five years back that we would reach this point.  I hoped like hell we would find another way.  Alas, that isn't going to happen.  Big time college football and basketball are never going back.  In ten years time you won't recognize it.  Basketball is already a shadow of what it used to be with the entire one and done thing.

Huh?  The Alabama comment makes no sense.  Success breads success in college, because of recruiting and great coaching.  Alabama is in it every year because they have the best coach ever and the 5 star recruits want to play in the big games.  That won’t stop for the most part.

Barry Switzer's recruiting line - If you decide to come to Oklahoma we'll be playing on National TV  every week. We'll be playing in major bowl games and competing for a National Championship.  If you decide not to come to Oklahoma,  we'll be playing on National TV every week. We'll be playing in major bowl games and competing for a National Championship.

Gotta love it when the complaining starts before the process even gets underway

It's actually easier for a black coach. There is no rule saying that a certain amount of whites have to be interviewed for anything

There won't be an anointed spot for him on his next team. His dream coach is giving him the cold shoulder, if Reich can't get him right, why would any other GM/HC risk their job by tying themselves to Wentz?

If the Colts dump him after 1 year, he's in Trubisky/Mariota territory.

Yup, I have always been one of his supporters but it appears that he's not going to bounce back. It finally appeared like we had a franchise quarterback after a million years since McNabb, but as usual it was a mirage for whatever reason.

It’s personal with him.  That speaks more about him than Carson.

Yeah, it was his fault that the defense allowed the Jags to March down the field with no resistance on the opening drive.

Did he bang your sister or something, you have an irrational hatred for someone who played a major role in the Eagles winning a Super Bowl.

It's actually pretty simple with Parrot. He wants an itys because he hasn't liked Wentz from the get go.  Sadly what used to be a very good poster in here is now added to my ignore list.

Yep.  College Hoops is dead.   Such a shame.

Still interesting but not like it used to be.

Why put people you disagree with on ignore? if I put every poster I didn't agree with on ignore I wouldn't see any posts.

Having an extensive ignore list isn't an accomplishment.

I have one poster on ignore and sometimes I think maybe I should take that poster off ignore, then I'm like.

So we should be willing to use people and underpay them for their skills for our entertainment? I mean how wrong is that? What does that remind you of in our history?

underpay  someone give me a free ride to any school, I'll play whatever sport they want me to and all the games in it. We're still paying on loans for our kids college and the youngest is 30. The oldest joined the army so he could go for free. Stop acting like these kids are underprivileged.

College basketball is a 2 hour 3 point contest 👎

If I put every person I don't agree with on ignore you would be on there. I do put the people that troll on ignore because they bring nothing to the conversation. How about you run your life and I run mine?

Yeah, I don't like that part of it either.

I am willing to be the life coach for both of you for a nominal fee.

I worked the clock the other night for our HS basketball team.  Matched up against a team that just wanted to drain 3s all game.  They got out to a 9-0 lead on the first three possessions.  Were up 11-2 after 4.  Then the 3s stopped falling and our team posted them up all game long.  This team was bigger than our guys for the most part, but had never had to defend a post up.  Our 2 'big guys' went to work on them.  Ended up in a see-saw game down the stretch, but in the end... our team won because they got the other team to commit more fouls and ended up winning it at the line.   Old school style.   It made my heart smile.

I used the love college basketball and college football.

College football much like college basketball is all about offense and scoring at break neck speed, and shooting 3s on fast breaks and passing 50 times a game

Defense in both have been legislated out

I grew up watching the NBA in the 80s and 90s watching the bad boys and knicks and bulls beat each other up with scores of 85 to 88

Now if a team is held under 115 points it's a defensive feat and in college football if you keep s team under 30 points it's some how a defensive accomplishment

I miss defense in both basketball and football.

There was a period of five years or so where it was a nice balance but it has just become WAY too many 3s in pros/colleges.  I have no idea about high school since I never see those games anymore now that I'm living abroad.

Analytics are to thank for that.   They say that if you aren't getting a layup, take a 3.

That could be very true but it doesn't translate into a better game.  I used to think moving the 3pt line back was an answer but now I lean more toward having two quarters with the 3 and two quarters without the 3.

Nah, just eliminate it.  It hurts the game.

Never considered that but that might be fun to watch.

Would also change rotations and substitution patterns and bring true big men back to the game, or at least half a game.

Having said that Interesting that the Utah jazz have lost 4 in a row since 3× DPOY Rudy gobert has been out with covid protocols

Defense still matters even if the league tries to decrease it's impact.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking.  You'd have one quarter in the 1st half with 3s and one quarter in the 2nd half.  Each team could control the order in one half.  You'd have a coin toss to determine who gets what with the winner of the coin toss being able to choose whether they control the 1st half or the 2nd half.
