Yeah okay, then ref should be fired. If you mess up that bad in a playoff game you shouldn’t be on the field. And yes it should have been a TD. Its ridiculous to argue other wise. Imagine a player breaking a 50 yard run and they RANDOMLY blow the whistle with a yard to go with no one inside 10 yards. Is that okay?

It shouldn't have been by rule. But, the NFL would have more of an embarassing situation if they followed the rule in this case. The NFL needs to fix its officiating issues. But, the NFL is arrogant and would rather spend its time convincing people there isn't a problem.

These refs kinda suck. That looked like a catch in real time.

Not a catch

I think one of the Bengals biggest problem has been their ownership has been cheap. i wonder if that changes now with burrow and the talent they’ve collected

"The year before I got there, [offensive tackle] Willie Anderson was telling me ,they didn't even have jock-straps. They would buy, get a bunch of used jock-straps, throw them in the middle of the locker room and say ‘here you go’.”

That's part of it. Some organizations just have a knack of failing in big moments. The Chargers are one of those cases, too. I knew the Chargers would lose to the Raiders even though they are more talented.  Same thing happened back in 1980 when Fouts was their QB.

not so sure that’s a catch.

not even close to a catch

That should be an incomplete. Coming out before he secured the ball.

Refs blowing calls all over the place today

I wonder if the NFL will admit that the ref screwed up with the whistle on that TD or if it will try to say that a fan in the stands was blowing a whistle (the Saints Whistle guy was in Cincy) or make up some other excuse.

Yeah by rule the ref shouldn’t have blown the whistle. They made the right call after that.

Wtf are these refs doing? Let’s all stand and stare and not blow a whistle now.

Strange. I was told Burrow wasn't great this year and he's inconsistent. Weird that his team has already scored 20 in the first half of his first playoff game.

He's not proven.

See i think the bengals became worse once brown took over control. He became the owner in 91. They missed the playoffs his first 14 years as owner/GM. In the 80s they reached two Super Bowls and weren’t considered super cheap. The fact he kept marvin Lewis for as long as he did was ridiculous. Supposedly some of it was due to money of not wanting to pay his buyout until it was obvious they had too.

Raiders are close to being really good but so many self inflicted wounds. Looks like the Rams this year too.

Definitely part of it, but they also came up short in the SBs in the 80s and they had some good teams in the 70s. But, those teams also couldn't get it done when it mattered.

Yep. They could use a stud WR and a little more help on their lines. But, they have two very good TEs and some really nice pieces. If they let this HC go, it will probably be the best coaching job available or one of them.

Blowing 3 of their 5 firsts in 2019 and 2020  hurting them from being much better. Ferrell, arenette and ruggs all failed to live up to their draft position for their own reasons.

Both...we will know around 2032 for sure though.

What’s amazing about the Patrick Mahomes one is the fact this was considered a down year and he still finish top 5 in passing yards, top 5 in touchdown passes, top 10 quarterback rating and top 5 in QBR .

How did he not see Renfroe ??

I do though wonder with him if he got too comfortable his first couple seasons with being able to improvise and just play reckless because of the sheer amount of talent surrounding him.

I think that’s part of it. I also think teams finally adjusted to we’re not going to let you beat us deep and it took him time to realize he wasn’t just going to be able to say screw it and try to do it anyway. I also think the Chiefs oline was not nearly as good at the beginning of the season as a lot of those guys never played with each other. They made a ton of moves on that oline after that super bowl loss. They are better now than they were at the start of the year. I actually think the oline and offense would be More dynamic  if they ran the ball more with Williams/CEH. i also liked how they utilized hardman in week 18 with hill basically in and out.
