past playoff experience says the Eagles will either fall behind quickly early (usually from a very early turnover) and get blown out or keep it close for a quarter or two and then get blown out in the second half...they just don't consistently move the ball to keep up with Brady. I don't expect too much strategy changes from Gannon...the Eagles are what they are...just not quite ready to compete

Nick and Gannon shouldn't overthink things tomorrow. Run the ball and make the Bucs defend the sidelines.

Nah think about it: bad weather, mediocre at best passing QB, elite run game...they'll NEVER expect us to throw 90% of the time. Perfect misdirection!

I thought Allen was throwing that away.

Me too.

For all the rules sticklers who are still complaining about that whistle touchdown for the Bengals...

Are you aware that on nearly every extra point, there are players about fifty to seventy yards away who have a foot in-bounds, casually watching the play along their sideline? Do you think the officials should be flagging those infractions since, well, technically there are too many men on the field?

Furthermore, do you also think that DeSean Jackson's game winning punt return against the Giants should have stood, or do you think the officials should have penalized the Eagles for having players run off the sideline in celebration while DeSean showboated his way along the goal line before actually crossing it? Or should the officials have simply looked the other way because it was completely irrelevant?

Great play by Allen.

Fantastic play.  Both Burrow and Allen are showing what franchise QBs are.

That’s a great shot. Chilled is the best. Good work.

But the right call wasn't made though.

It was, regardless of what you say, it was a wrong whistle. By RULE he shouldn’t have blown the whistle. And he should be fired for it.

It’s like cowboys fans arguing the clear recovery rule all over again. It’s about common sense.

How mad would you be if the Eagles lost a TD over a last second whistle? Would you be okay with the rule then? Stop defending the BS

I'll be surprised if Gronk doesn't have over 100 yards tomorrow. Just don't let Evans feast, too. If Slay can lock down Evans and if the Eagles can cover the RB dump off passes well, then Gronk getting yards won't necessarily do us in.

Gronk has gotten a lot of targets and receptions these past two weeks.  I hope that Gronk can't hold up to that many targets/receptions again.  As great as he is, the one issue for him his that he gets banged up a lot and he will be turning 33 soon.

But he will for sure have a big chance to feast if his body continues to hold up.

It would be nice to have Brandon Brooks playing tomorrow.

Too bad he’s somewhere with Carmen San Diego

Will #11 be issued next year?  What about 71, 87 and 25?

11 to a scrub WR signed as an UDFA.  Yes to 87 as seems like Celek would want it that way.  Yes to 25 as McCoy has retired as an Eagle.  No to 71 until JP signs that one day contract to retire as an Eagle plus one year.

This is what worries me tomorrow. Brady come out and get two quick scores then our ground and pound plan goes in the trash.

Blowing 3 of their 5 firsts in 2019 and 2020  hurting them from being much better. Ferrell, arenette and ruggs all failed to live up to their draft position for their own reasons.

Abrams stinks too.

Mac Jones not doing as well as Burrow in his first playoff game.

Guys.  We what really need to do tomorrow is get Brady off his spot.  That simple.

Simple to say. History has proven actually doing that is a tall order.

What’s everyone’s keys for a win tomorrow? Name 3 specific things the Eagles need to do in order to win tomorrow. And not just the obvious things like, winning ToP, limiting TOs, or having Brady wake up with Covid.

For me it’s:

The defense needs to bring the coverage up, while also bringing middle pressure.
Brady is too good to play 2 safeties over the top and soft coverage in front of it. The coverage has to make Brady hold the ball for at least a half second longer and the pressure has to come from the A gaps, not the edges.

The run game has to be established, but more specifically, it has to be established on off tackle runs. TBs middle of their defense is too good to just run right at them, have to get runs going out on the edges.

Finally Hurts needs to make throws on the move outside the pocket. TB will be looking to contain Hurts and keep him inside the pocket. He needs to run and get yards when it’s there, and break the pocket and make big plays down the field as the safeties start creeping up  in the game.

What do you guys think?

I think/hope Gennard Avery can be an X factor. He has increased playing time, and is doing well. But I really hope Gannon has some wrinkles turning him loose on the blitz. I think he can affect the game utilized in that way. And that would be huge if he can make Brady rush a bunch of throws.

It would also be nice if Hargrave and Cox could ever show up in the same game. All season its just been 1 or the other playing well.

Josh Allen showing how the dual threat style QB is the way of the future and the future is now.

Imagine having a QB who could run for 100 yards with an arm like that

I wonder if they would rather face the titans or the KC. The Bengals beat Kansas City but it was in Cincinnati. Different in arrowhead. Also KC likely have a better gameplan the second meeting.  And going against mahomes who is very dangerous. I feel like I’d take my chances on the titans cause tannehill hasn’t been great this year even with jones, brown and Henry back. Titans like KC are also susceptible to the pass as they rank 25th in the league.

I’m in Knoxville TN tonight and the sentiment here is Titans Bengals in the AFCCG

Hurts will never be in the stratosphere of Josh Allen as a passer

Brady ain't there to dig you out of those big first half holes, Bill.
