My old man was like that.  Saw every episode like 5 times.  New the jokes long before they happened.

I hope we’re good.  Because we don’t have a generator.

I think your part of the state is getting a lot less ice.  They’re predicting between a quarter and a half inch of ice where I am and then high winds the next day.

Josh Allen deserves all the credit in the world tonight. But man o day I am tired of announcers swooning over QB arm angles.

Probably more.  He’s not with us anymore so I wouldn’t know.  He did have a little lap dog named Radar.  I remember him tearing up during the last episode.  Kinda like me when Cheers ended.

My dog is named "Rosie".

Wasn’t that a character?  Bar girl or something?

Yup.  Rosie owned the bar across from the camp.  Another favorite episode of mine was "Rosieland".

Pour it on Buffalo

That's got to be it for the Bills O, right?

Belichick has to be happy that held the Bills to six points on a couple of drives, otherwise this would have been embarrassing.

That’s right.  Yeah, I remember.  She was a hard ass, I think.

Yes, she was.   She got more hard ass as the show went on.

I would like if they make it out of the AFC.  I certainly would want them to win over any NFC team.

Part of the issue is this team doesn’t have the ability to stop a hot qb.  I think at least the ability to run the ball allows the team to move the ball.  You’re right the team is unlikely to be able to score consistently without a better passing qb.

I’m not sure any defense in the nfl can truly stop a hot qb.  When the league’s elite qbs have bad games, I really believe it’s more intrinsic and random factors that throw them off than the defense.  With the way rules are enforced, when those guys are at their best, it’s a cheat code within the framework of the nfl that no defense is really going to stop.

That doesn’t mean you just give up on defense either…and you are absolutely right; our defense has a ways to go to at least make life more uncomfortable for quality qbs than they presently do.

No one said that.   What has been said is that there is a rule in place for when it happens.  How many times have you seen it happen?  It doesn't happen because the official wants it to... it happens due to a mistake.  And there is a rule in place for when it does happen.  What is so hard to understand?   It's almost like you are being intentionally obtuse about this for some reason.

The rule is black and white.

How do we know that? That’s my problem with it. It happened in a playoff game on a big play. But yeah you’re right it’s the rule. I admit I’m wrong regardless of how I feel about it.

LOL Sam Hyde tripped over his teammate.

4th quarter of the Birds/Bucs game on NFL network

I would not mind if they put up 50.

Sure.  They do it all the time because they want to, which is why it happens so frequently.

It absolutely happened in a big game in a big spot... do you remember the last time it happened?  I don't.  Seems like its a fairly rare event, and that rare event has a rule for how to handle it in the event that it does.  The bigger issue for me isn't that the inadvertent whistle happened, but that they didn't follow the rules as written.  You can't have officials making it up on the spot because of how they feel about it.  If it's a bad rule, then you change the rule... but you don't ignore the rule in the midst of a game.  I don't think it is a bad rule.  It makes the best of a non-ideal situation.

In other news... Bills are just running it up on the Pats now.

This is getting to be one sided.

Why is Allen in and still throwing?

I was wondering that.  Seemed like that was the drive to just sit on the ball with the backup QB and try to really milk the clock.

Likely because they want to stick it to the Pats.

This is why I don’t mind trying for QB anyway. No one expected Allen to be this good.

Revenge for all the Brady years? But the playoffs are a dumb time to make a point like that. Sit him down.

Hard to make that argument when he was drafted #7 overall.  Seems someone thought there was a chance he could be this good.

More importantly, most of the Bills players aren't with the team long enough for that to wear on them like it did the fans.

That could be us trading up for a QB.
