I’d rather go Minshew route next year, if you want to do a QB battle between Hurts & Minshew that’s fine. But Hurts should not be guaranteed the job, it needs an open competition at the very least. I know it’s easier said than done, but Howie needs to find a way to use those 3 1st rounders to create some 2023 draft capital.

Should have pulled Hurts and put in Minshew awhile ago

Top ten QB and defense. Can't stop them. Has nothing to do with the schedule. Swag. Leadership. Best ever. Real growth from the QB position. Leader. Man among boys.

Hurts, Reagor, Barnett and JJAW need to be gone.

With Watson this years team may have been a contender.

With Watson next year, and 2nd and 3rd rounders used on defense, this team may become a favorite.

If there is any silver lining from today

Hurts can’t pass.  In preseason/training camp, it’s all passing.  This past offseason, everyone acknowledged that Hurts did not look good.

Theres no way Hurts would ever win an actual, honest, open competition.  Anyone you pit him against is going to spin it better.

He seemed to. Arians was looking for him and Sirianni was nowhere to be seen.

I was hoping Barnett would roll into Arians leg before it was over. That fat ****.

Just a couple plays away from winning...

1% better everyday and we’ll win

Howie needs to pull a Chris Ballard and say he can't commit to Hurts being here next year.

Well let's hope they can figure this out this off season

Draft Carson Strong late 1 early 2.  In that range, it’s a commitment, but not a marriage.

Trade Hurts for what you can get since the rest of the country thinks he’s so special.

Start Minschew until Strong is ready.  Or start Minschew all year until you get another go at the 2023 draft.

Minschew is NOT good, but he will put the ball out there enough for the passing game and WRs to develop.

Hard pass on Bledsoe 2.0 and Minshew is an actual NFL QB compared to what started for us this season.

This game was terrible...but we knew we weren't better than the Bucs. We just thought it could be more competitive.

My dislike of Gannon and Reagor only grew today.

Baffles me how teams are interviewing Gannon. Good riddance.

Hey if it gets rid of him then good.

Jalen Reagor sucks. Hope he never plays another down of football in this city again.

There likely was no choice here, I wouldn't be surprised if sirianni was told not to remove hurts from this game. The front office wants to prove they're right despite being horribly wrong

No way to explain why Hurts, JJAW and Reagor all play so much except Howie drafted them with high picks so they must play to justify the draft pick. No other possibe reason. Hurts is the exact same guy he was last season, same with Reagor and Jjaw.

When you make a mistake, you have to move on from it as quick as possible, not DOUBLE DOWN on your own stupidity.

Fin Howie

If we cut him, no other team will play him, so it's a safe bet.

It should absolutely be an open QB competition.  It's about the TEAM and doing what's best for the team, which includes helping your young WRs to develop.  Hurts hasn't done anything this season to just be handed the starting job next season.

I do not want them trading away 1st Round picks this draft for an aging QB (Wilson, Rodgers) or a QB with serious legal/civil issues (Watson).  We don't have a good enough overall team where adding an upper echelon vet QB will make the difference.  The roster isn't close to being that good.  I'm fine with using the MIA/IND pick if Pickett falls there or if Carson Strong is still there with our 2nd Round pick.  I think either is worth a flier at those spots.

It's easy to say for us to trade back with one of the three 1st Round picks and acquire a second 1st Round pick in 2023, but we never know how the board will fall and if there's any other teams willing to make such a trade.  It would be ideal if that opportunity presented itself that we could trade back 5-9 spots while still staying in the 1st Round and pickup an additional 2023 1st Round pick, though.

That game was why Siriani was never in contention for coach of the year. But, but, the playoff experience, lol, idiots!

Jjaw, reagor, and gannon need to go. If they are here next year, this team is destined for misery

Today makes Sirianni look rather silly if he did tell Minshew that the team are good at QB position and he wasn't going to win the starting job.

The spin of "people just want Hurts to fail" has already begun.

Took all of seven minutes.

Strong is the best passer in the 2022 draft and it’s not remotely close.  I’m not going to die on a hill saying he’ll be great, but his ingredients as a passer are a value in that part of the draft.

Biden has a better chance of getting re-elected than Gannon getting a HC job
