I agree, he’s not going anywhere - I’m not enamored by his scheme, but it’s obvious they need talent in many areas and have mismatched parts in others.

and, though they had many slow starts, they really tightened up and played very well in 2nd halfs to give this team a chance. He did a lot with very little. Im fine with seeing his defense with more talent added. There is a reason people wanted him here before we hired him, and there is a reason other teams still want him.

I’d take Jimmy G.

His base is $24M and he’ll be a FA in 2023.

What people expect (maybe reasonable, maybe not) is for them to address the issue the way the Colts did with Wentz.

That would be dumb, you would be killing any little trade value they would have.

The 2023 QB draft class is good. Roll with Hurts in 2022. If he's bad, trade up for any of them. If he improves, great.

Exactly.

Coming back!!

True - I’m not sure how much Mariota will command ($3.5M as a backup this year).

He can’t really throw anymore. That nerve damage really messed his arm up.

LMAO!

do you remember what people were saying about THIS QB draft class before the college football season? This was supposed to be like, historically good.

Mariota actually has the arm to use the deep field.  Not an ideal situation, true.

No he doesn't.

Pickett’s hands are really small. I’m not against it, he should fall to us. Do we trade Hurts after we pick him or do we let it be a QB competition?

Im 100% out on Watson, Wilson yes, but Watson isn’t worth it.

If we got Rodgers, we get Adams, I’d be all in on this.If we do this and convince Kelce to stay then we need to hit on defense with what draft picks we have left and free agency

Trade Hurts... let Minshew start until whatever rookie is ready to step in... no need to rush it.  The rebuild is FAR from over... this playoff appearance means nothing in the big picture.   The drubbing should have made that clear.

It is great, the teams with high picks will know that too. No amount of trade capital will convince a team to pass on a franchise QB, unless they already have one - See Bengals with Burrow or Jax with Lawrence.

F no.  If this happens Im out.

The only place where this is a realistic option is on a spreadsheet im Howie's office.

Minshew, a rookie, Cousins, literally anyone but Hurts.  Thats enough.

Improve to what, 55% and only down 24-0 before the offense gets started?

Both Levis and Jurkovec will be in next years class , big fan of both , and glad they returned to college .

Howie will not be rolling with Hurts. He's hampering the development of star potential players like DeVonta and Goedert. Howie can't risk that.

He had nothing more than an average at best arm to begin with too.

No one was saying this though. The concensus BEFORE the season was that it was a weak QB draft class.

Here we go

Look at SF — running, running …. DAL can’t just stuff the LOS and blitz the safeties every play like TB did, because Garappolo can actually throw

Dallas couldn't do that against the Eagles either... because they couldn't stuff the run.

I don't see much in 2023 at QB. These new age one read QBs just wont cut it in the NFL. Need an actually progression read QB which the only one so far is Pickett. Otherwise your waiting 3-4 years for the next Manning.

But, let's be honest... what does that actually accomplish?

The Eagles are a really dumb organization if they just hand the job to Hurts in 2022.
