That play can't go as far as he took it, because of the dependence on the umpire... and as stated, you have to know that the umpire needs to touch it, so you have to give it to him AND... not block him from getting there.      They tried to get too fancy and it bit them.

14 seconds... that was too close to try that.   The old mark used to be 16 seconds I think for a fire drill FG... that's basically what they were looking at with how far the umpire had to go to get there.   with 20 seconds on the clock... it absolutely works.   It as we saw... 14 wasn't enough.  16 likely wasn't either.

It's not complicated.   The steak dinner is the Eagles win.   A good burger and free beer is great... but its not a steak.    The surprise ending of the free beer was the foolishness of the ending of the game.

That's tough.  Burrow to Chase is fun to watch but Josh Allen is must see football too.  Bills Mafia annoys the hell of of me however....then again so does Who Dey Nation or whatever they call themselves.

I was thinking the same thing, actually.  The play was just poorly executed.
