Yep.  The football world really needed Bucs/Eagles and Chiefs/Steelers today.  The playoffs just wouldn’t have been the same without these 2 games.

It didn’t impact our draft much, but it just dilutes everything.  If crap teams like the Eagles and Steelers can go to the playoffs without a bye, three 12 win teams can go to the playoffs without a bye, and one 13 win team can go to the playoffs without a bye………….then why do we even bother watching or getting excited for regular season games?

It was always going to be all about the money.  But at what point does the regular season interest and revenue diminish as the games become less important?  They are just banking on a linear, voracious demand for consuming more football.  And they may be right…but it sure doesn’t help things on Sundays in September.
