Don’t want Watson. All of those allegations are too rich for my blood. Where there’s that much smoke, there’s at least quite a bit of fire.

As far as vet QBs go, Wilson is our best shot, IMO. And that’s a slim one

Good way to blow a knee out

We get Watson, he immediately becomes by far the best QB in the division.

And depending on if Rodgers goes to the AFC and how long Brady plays, becomes the best QB in the Conference.

No-brainier trade. Need to make it happen.

Watson is a serial scumbag leaning towards rapist.  The no- brainer is not to trade for him.

Eh... little shout CB needs to go low on gigantic TE. That's not dirty.

Also,  not sure he ends up hitting the knee if gronk doesn't get that little turn and half step in right at the last moment.  Maddox was already lined up and moving in on the shot,  and Gronk changed the angle of the hit while fighting for yardage. Maddox was about to hit him on the back of the calf, but Gronk turned sideways and got closer and took it on the knee.

Kind of hit that will make players lose respect for you , wrap up when you go low , don’t throw a shoulder into someone’s knee , he didn’t want any parts of trying to wrap up and tackle Gronk

there was a blatant helmet to helmet that wasn’t called on Darden , ref right there , officiating needs fixed

For as bad as Hurts was today (terrible) it’s almost comical that Dak put up an identical stat line

Hurts — 23/43 for 258 with 1 TD and 2 INT

Dak — 23/43 for 254 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT

Dak will count $35.45M against the cap in 2022 and $45.45M in 2023

So …….. it can always be worse I guess

Eww. Plus a worn down Zeke contract

What does Watsons contract even look like?

Contract Notes

Deshaun Watson signed a 4 year contract extension with the Houston Texans on September 5, 2020.  Initial contract details per Mike Florio of PFT who was able to confirm with Watson's agent. The extension is worth $156 million in new money with $73.716 million fully guaranteed at signing.  Watson received  a $27 million signing bonus and guaranteed salaries in 2020-2022.  On (presumably) the 5th day of the 2022 league year, Watson's 2023 salary and $17 million roster bonus vest into a full guarantee.  At signing the 2023 salary and bonus are guaranteed for injury only.  Watson has the opportunity to raise his salary in 2022-2025 by $1 million each year (through escalator) if the team wins the Super Bowl in the previous season, and Watson participates in 50% of the offensive snaps during the Super Bowl.

Not defending Dak, but watching the game is a different story. One guy throws downfield consistently, the other can’t.

I doubt that TB would load the box and have their CBs play 10-yards off against Dak either.

At the refs but still sad 🤣

Yeah im not touching that albatross of a contract

draft one next year

And a bonehead if he was behind that QB draw play.

Your analytics guys might get you fired

Surely, you can’t be serious.

Watson isn’t happening. He’ll stay in Houston before coming to Philly.

I think there could be a small chance Wilson would happen. By small chance- less than 10%

DAL never looked like they were going to win that game and never should have been in any position to win that game.  They were dead and buried all day until Jimmy G threw that INT to give them life, they allowed SF to run an end-around on 3rd and a mile to get within a chain link of a 1st down, then SF gift-wraps them the ball back by having their OT go in motion on 3rd and an inch.

It’s absolutely perfect that their players and fans think they lost that game because the refs wouldn’t let them snap the ball a couple of times.

The more I look at veteran QB trades, the 2022 QB draft, and the 2023 QB draft, the more I think the right move is to draft Carson Strong at #19.  As I have said before, I’m not going to die on a hill saying he’s going to be a stud, but I think he’s our best shot.

He has injury questions (which apparently have promising answers), didn’t play in an elite conference, is not a threat to run the ball, and is not a heavily hyped prospect.  That’s the bad part.

As a pure passer…arm strength, mechanics, accuracy, both a physical and mental quick release, flick-ability, willingness and ability to go deep into progressions….not only is he, by far, the best in this class, but I also don’t see anyone comparing to him in 2023 either.  His pure passing talent is in line with the Herberts and Allens of the NFL.

When we desperately need a qb…in a year with a notoriously barren qb draft (and I really don’t see 2023 as light at the end of the tunnel)…when we have 3 first round picks…why would we not bring him in with #19?

If there is a "name" QB coming in, I suspect that name is Derek Carr.   I don't love or hate that, but he is an upgrade over our current situation.

If they get Aiyuk going big time, that team is stupid dangerous.

All I know :

Until we get a real QB, our receiving talent doesn't matter, and we have no real shot at winning anything. If Hurts is pushed back out there as our starting QB for next season, we will lose Smith and Watkins - they wont develop and in fact regress.

So I dont care if it's Rodgers, Wilson, Watson, some other Vet QB, or some long shot we take in the draft- we need someone who can at least throw the ball next year.

Diggs spends a lot of time peaking at the QB for interception opportunities and losing track of his assignments. All pro.
