I think Dickerson offered the versatility to be the team's center or right guard of the future. I honestly don't see Brooks or Johnson on the team for more than another year.

September 18, 20214 yr Matchup of the game is Mailata vs Bosa. If Mailata wins that, not only do we likely win the game but that will be really exciting going forward for where Mailata already the heights of where he will go as he continues to improve.

Dawkins played 16 seasons 224 G of possible 256 (87.5 %) - 221 GS ... 1147 tackles (71.69 yearly avg). 911 solo / 26 Sks and 59 TFL / 153 PD / 37 INTs 2 TDs / 36 ff 1 TD Polamalu played 12 seasons 158 G of possible 192 (82.3%) - 142 GS ... 783 tackles (65.25 yearly avg). 583 solo / 12 Sks and 56 TFL / 107 PD / 32 INTs 3 TDs / 14 ff 2 TD I know anyone can look up the stats but I think it helps to have a direct comparison. When you consider the games played the INTs and TFL really jump out in Polamalu's favor. But overall - Dawkins 5.12 Tkls per game - Polamalu 4.96 ... Dawkins 0.116 Scks pg - Polamalu 0.015 ... Dawkins 0.683 PD pg - Polamalu 0.677 ... Dawkins 0.16 FF pg - Polamalu 0.089 I would take Dawkins - he played longer with a higher availability rate and IMO a consistently higher level. But I'm an Eagles fan - I'm biased. I could certainly see why Steelers fans would choose Polamalu. To say "bias aside" is ridiculous. Of course you're biased. You can't help it - and that's ok. In what way is it debatable? He has him from a numbers standpoint. He has him from a longevity standpoint. He has him from a per game standpoint. There is no argument for Polamalu being a better football player.
September 18, 20214 yr Barnett's 2021 salary is $990,000. It can fit under any team's salary cap. If we get offered a 3rd or better for him, he stays with us. If we get a better offer, he's gone.

He should get a decent contract based on comparable players, netting a decent comp pick. Otherwise, we spent a ton of money converting his salary into a bonus just to get a meh pick.

With the talent across the NCAA, the Eagles should continually look at at a WR in the draft. So many good WR out there that would help this team.

Only way we're getting that if a SB contender feels they're an EDGE away. Looking at SB contending teams (Bucs, Rams, Chiefs, Bills), it would probably take an injury.
September 18, 20214 yr Here's the full play of the INT in the Oklahoma/Nebraska game. OU/NU just looks the way college football should. Oh, and Gus Johnson just brings so much energy.

That duo is only doing 7 games this season so I hope we get at least one of them.
