He timed that snap perfectly...almost looked offside

I suspect the OL went a hair early, but he was looking for the flag from the zebras - always a strange look from an innocent player

Nice to see a defense not give up a 3rd and long for a change

Not a great block by Goedert there.

Good first series for the D.  If they can snuff out the run game it will help them to attack that O.

Hargrave looked offsides.  Either an amazing jump, or just a lucky play that he wasn't caught.

Go back and look at the roster at that point, they literally had no one else.   He was in year 3 and it was make or break time.  But, they didn't do it by design, their hand was forced.

It was by design. They easily could have brought in someone else. Teams do it all the time when they don’t want to risk a rookie/young player making mental mistakes.

Also of note — we leap frogged the Steelers (and likely a few other teams) to take him:

Hurts floated that…we got lucky.

When he wound it up I thought someone was going to be wide open. I like it though. Stretch them out a little.

Came up short on that long throw too.

Not a good pass there

If he threw it further that was a TD.

Arm strength issues seemed apparent on this first drive.

The mechanics on the throw looked a little funky to me

That was an ugly deep ball from Hurts.

That's Hurts

This punter is an animal.

I really hated the play-calling on this drive. All this running against a team without DBs.

That's gonna be Hurts' Achilles heel, deep ball arm strength...that looked like about everything he could possibly put into it.

What a Jack ass Zech. Wtf

Another great punt by Siposs.  Great play by the first man down.  McPhearson flubbed it big time.  Just get under control there... the ball was rolling the right direction there.

I was confused as to why we didn’t bring in any competition at punter, but this guy is amazing.

And was late in unleashing it.

He doesn't have a cannon, so he naturally has to step into those throws but he had a clean pocket and looked to set clean too at first.  Weird follow through though.

Yeah. Looks like he could more on it with better mechanics, but that’s not what we want to see.

Like that they're trying the ground game, but the results leave much to be desired.  Need to get it going.  Also good to see a shot down the field, but that throw has to be better.  You can't let a S catch up to your WR who is waiting on the ball.

Defense is just destroying them.
