September 19, 20214 yr This half is the first major test for Sirianni. Heart and soul of defense out with presumably serious injury. Team dominated first half and yet is still down. How does he respond?

September 19, 20214 yr Talent wise, Eagles can survive a Graham injury. A serious Brooks injury? Dickerson better be for real.

Ward a friggin’ college QB throws the ball away on a stupid fourth down call by Sirianni. Truly clown show stuff. That throw away would be stupid by anyone, let along a former college QB. He can walk home. I get not putting undue risk on Hurts throwing to him there, but at least attempt to run if you're gonna be scared there.
September 19, 20214 yr Just now, ManuManu said: Of course. I understand your throw and hope for DPI, but the positioning of the Niner defenders was such that the ball would have had to go through at least one of them just to get to Hurts. The chances of DPI were much, much lower than the chances of an INT in my opinion ... but that's only an opinion.
September 19, 20214 yr I'm in favor of being aggressive... but in being aggressive, you need to be smart about it. That play was a bad design, not just overdone. That was a one man pattern to Hurts. So, it was about Hurts being left undefended or Greg Ward being able to run it in. Where was the back side option streaking through the end zone late to give another option? On the original Philly Special, Nick was wide open, sure... but at the same time, Torry Smith was dragging along the back of the end zone to that same side and he was also wide open. Ward had no other option in the end zone. There was another player in the end zone, way to the left. 2 minutes ago, Saltpeter said: Talent wise, Eagles can survive a Graham injury. September 19, 20214 yr We knew both Brooks and Graham would be unavailable sooner rather than later. Graham injury sucks, but he’s an old dude. With Brooks, I’m surprised the Brooks/Johnson combo made it through a full training camp, game, and change in 2021. That’s what Dickerson is for.
