I agree Andrews is the better tight end as of now.  I think DG is going to want more.  If the Eagles pay him that they are stupid.

I think his agents will put his current market value at around $12.5M.  That slots Goedert in there with Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith.  Problem is, it also makes Goedert the highest-paid Eagles player other than Fletcher Cox.  Not sure Howie has come close to that number yet.

If you're using it for low-temp smoking, parchment paper works well. Otherwise, I'm sure your butcher can hook you up if you ask nicely.

Maybe he'll also have an uncle that posts borderline racist stuff in cvon.

What thread did that happen in?

7 and 38 , but 7 should go

But the rule both should go

Howie has been bad lately, but that doesn’t make what E45 said true. Banner says it often on Twitter. The players who sign early end up leaving a lot of money on the table.

That's sort of the point though, wasn't it?  And if you read my response to it, the criticism was aimed squarely at Howie's incompetence in that arena recently.  In other words, while in general, teams save money by signing players early, in the recent specific case of the Eagles and Howie Roseman, is that the team has been locked in to bad contracts for aged and injury-prone players at premium prices.

No, they said if a player(s) who is unvaccinated they wont rescehduled or postpone.

That have said NOTHING if a game needs to be pushed off because of vaccinated people getting  covid

Wrong.

With all 32 teams set to open training camps over the next week, the NFL Thursday unveiled new COVID-19 "operating principles’’ for the 2021 season that include significant penalties for teams that suffer outbreaks among unvaccinated players.

Specifically, the NFL informed teams that if a game cannot be rescheduled during the 18-week regular season (17 games and a bye week) due to an outbreak among unvaccinated players, the team with the outbreak will suffer a forfeit and the loss credited to their record, with the opposing team credited with a win.

Also, if a game is canceled and cannot be rescheduled, then neither team’s players will get paid. Players receive their yearly salaries on a weekly basis during the regular season.

Will not and cannot are two completely different things

A better player at the same position drafted later in the same draft as one of the best picks Howie ever made…a nice reminder of the incompetence running our drafts.

In the same draft...

  • Avonte Maddox (125th overall) was picked after Rashaan Gaulden - CB (85th overall), who is now out of the league.
  • Josh Sweat (130th overall) was picked after Chad Thomas - DE (67th overall), who is now out of the league.

Howie's made some bad picks.  We all (except for maybe afan) get it.

Goedert wasn't one of them.  No need to jump on every bit of news to continue to make the point.

Wtf with this targeting

Agreed.

Maybe some variety of pepper (white/red) or a little garlic and chili powder on the beef.

Pork needs to be enhanced.  Imagine ribs without any rub or sauce.

Cool. If we get at least 10 (maybe up to 12 or 14), I'll set it up through ESPN. Draft tomorrow or Wednesday, whatever works for most.

So we agree?

For a ribs rub, I go with SPOG + CR

(Salt, pepper, onion, garlic + cayenne, rosemary)

For a brisket rub, just SPOG

For steaks, just salt and pepper only. Maybe topped with some butter for filets that aren't well marbled.

With pork, I like chili powder and some brown sugar.    Spritz with apple cider vinegar as it cooks.

Recently I came across a coffee rub... Coffee, clove, cinnamon, as well as the standard salt, pepper, onion, garlic... and a bit of sugar.   Very good for both beef and pork.  Not something I want every time, but still very good.

And then there's the poultry... SPOG... with paprika, mustard and celery seeds.

Baltimore took an overaged first-round TE ahead of Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews. S happens.

I suppose we do.  I think we agree with e45... compared to what Howie has been doing, not extending players would likely lead to more savings than his recent spending sprees.
