They battled back but still need a lot of work. That being said, keeping a Kyle Shanahan offense under 20 pts is tougher than you think. Some of those long drives chewed up way too much clock though.

Eagles lost this game with the piss poor play calls on the GL.  Take the points at home.  Keep the momentum, keep the fans in the game. 

Credit to SF's O staff for changing tactics and attacking our perimeter since our DL was stacking them between the Ts.  This is where you need good LBs to get to the edges and chase down the RB.  SF had sustained long drives the whole 2nd half and wore down our D.  They couldn't get a stop when it mattered. 

We put wind in their sails with stupid decisions and poor execution.  Can't do that against a good team.

That cannot be understated. Whatever happened on O, the D did well against that O today.

How did the clock start running before the snap? I thought an injury timeout stopped the clock. (1:48 on the clock when the injury stoppage occurred). I assume that’s incorrect.

This is the team I thought they might be. Hurts was really ineffective throwing the ball save for the one deep shot to Watkins.. Relying on Hurts' Legs wont win you games against good teams. San Fran took away the underneath stuff, and Hurts is not a pocket passer. 

Our defense looked decent and better than I expected. But Could not stop them on the 3rd and short or 4th and short when it mattered. 

If the rest of the season plays out like the first 2 games, we look good against bad teams and our Offense is Hurts running the ball against good teams, we will be needing a new QB at end of year. A bit early for that, but this was the expected result against good teams. 

Sirianni, Barnett and Reagor really effed us today. Poor Wallace. There was nothing he could do there.

Yep, if the DL wasn't making the tackle, it was the defensive backs.  The lack of LB was very noticeable today.

This was Hurts' 6th start. It wasn't good. He was good in his 5th start. He can turn it around next week.

That's the development of a young QB. The goal is to figure out if he's the guy by January. 

If Barnett gets cut tomorrow I’m all for it

I hate to keep repeating myself (well, okay, no I don't), but this is the way this season is gonna go...  we'll need to look at the team several weeks into the season, and see if there's been steady improvement...  I know we all live and die with each game, but we need to keep perspective...

It was a tough, hard-fought game... there' something to take from that

We haven't had one of those for awhile.

Not a good game from the offense. Hurts is a one read runner. We still need a QB. 

We had the talent to win this game, just too many mistakes and bad coaching.
