Ok, @Veejer, I’m done being snarky. Just annoyed to watch Sirianni pee down his leg.

He personifies about everything I don’t want in a QB.

Couldn't agree with you more. I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again a lot over the next few months... Do. Not. Want.

Geez, it's like staring at the abyss.

What happened to Roseman > blog ?

And Hurts > Wentz ?

Need to give this some time.

Should have been more clear the first time since this actually was an instance of the playcalling sucking.

The reason we're gonna struggle at times this year is that a 1st year coach is gonna be one...  I'm hoping to see improvement as we go along... from the coach, from the QB, from the team in general...

Right now, I have more confidence in the coach and the team than I do in the QB, but I'm hopeful and will give him time...

Same ish he always does, personal foul

You have to think they've talked to him about this

No worries...

I thought this was a good game, in some ways better than Atlanta.

SF is a really good team, physical, disciplined, with a veteran QB. They made the plays they needed to make.

Eagles are in transition, but it's obvious they're not the train wreck than many predicted.

Hurts is a work in progress, but those throws to Watkins and Reagor (even if called back) and the deep throw to Smith, he can throw it 50 yards without it quacking. So let's put the arm strength issue to bed. He's not in the top five, but he's good enough. The bigger problem is recognition, but his young WRs didn't help in this game, and I think there's a reason they got no trade offers for Ertz. Smith will be great, but he got schooled a bit today, Reagor learned about establishing position along the sideline, etc. The bigger problem was Brooks/Lane, the right side was not good enough, and Dickerson isn't quite ready to start at RG (no surprise here, college center misses TC then tries to step in cold).

The defense played well, but the lack of talent in the back seven was obvious, they're not bad, but there's not a single playmaker out there, Nelson was the best of the group.

Kind of weird there wasn't one snap of Trey Lance.

As of this moment, the Jalen Hurts question is still entirely open-ended... he's the same as this team, will there be improvement as the season progresses...  no one should be in any way sold on him at this point...

One thing I will say, though, is the complete amnesia everyone seems to have about his throw to Quez Watkins...

That was his best throw of the game.   The one to Reagor that was OOB was pretty good too.  But, they were few and far between.   And there seems to be nothing in the intermediate area.

The ultimate bluff. But I guess that's part of having that card to play. Teams then spend time preparing for it and when it doesn't come that time was wasted.

I thought so too but I'm kind of glad. I thought he would have done more damage to us

Did Hurts throw between the hashes all today?

Same

It's frustrating to know this D-line has a ton of money invested, maybe the richest in the NFL, and when push came to shove they couldn't get the big 3rd and 4th down stops. Not like the Niners have a top 5 o-line either. Frustrating

Oh yeah, the Niners are a really good team  Better coach, better QB, talented roster.  There were clearly points of frustration.  But I doubt many of us thought we would look like we belonged on the field with them a few months ago.

Further, not a bad effort by Gannon and the defense to keep them to 17 with the LBs and Safeties we put on the field.

Graham should be saluted for his career with the  Eagles, but don’t get too beat up about it; it was time to move on anyway.

When you hang on to players well into their 30s, their careers end on IR.  It’s the way it goes.

He was here for the year already.  I'd prefer to have him walk away on his terms than by injury.  I always hate to guys leave by injury.

Either they're not asking him to throw intermediate, or he's not pulling the trigger...  don't know...  his arm strength doesn't look bad to me, really, so I wonder if it's a matter of fixing his mechanics...

Maybe the deep duck to Smith? That’s the only one I remember being close

Ok.  This day is starting to suck.  Started out great though. Shot a 40 on the front.  47 on the back.  Eagles lose in frustrating fashion.  Now Dallas is playing well.

I guess the Phillies offense will go in a shell tonight.

If you ask in the IGT, Hurts played well.

I guess I watched a different game.

I hate watching Dallas play well, but I do enjoy playing them when their heads are all swelled up.

I think the Dallas playing well thing is actually harder to take. I just want to see them suck.

Might be cliche I think it just comes down to coaching. We looked good early on, they made adjustments to our front and we had no answers to what they were doing after the 1st quarter. Although any time you hold the opposing team to 17 points you should win.

I hated that play. Put the ball in the hands of your BEST players. Not Greg fn Ward

Game awareness again.  Throwing the football 3 rows into the stands doesn’t speak well for football IQ when it’s 4th down.  Hurts wasn’t open — throw it at him anyway; maybe the defense grabs him and you get a first down, maybe the defense loses the ball in the sun and it’s a TD ….. try running the damn ball in.

It wasn’t the right call by NS for sure; I would have taken the gimme FG and kept momentum — but a bad job by players makes the coach’s decision look dumber

This is the #1 problem in the offense. You can't be consistent drive to drive without what is the easiest throw for a QB.
