I don't know. But, if you have a QB that isn't going to win you a ring, then why keep spinning your wheels?  At some point, you have to move in a different direction.  They could sign a free agent or draft someone or both.  But, if they keep Lamar for a few years, his value will keep going down unless he somehow develops more as a passer.

Why would a HC and/or GM do that?

Dallas is the worst opponent we'll face in the next 5 games (DAL, KC, CAR, TB, LVR). If we lose to Dallas, we could be facing 1-5/2-4.

Dude... how can you disrespect James Thrash like that?   Or Orlando Scandrick?   :nonono:   Not cool.

In all seriousness, Brian Mitchell might be the best we ever added like that.

Shawn Barber was really good for that one season.

Jackson is trash

I don't remember every one of those flags but I'd be willing to bet every one of those calls was deserved too. He's just an undisciplined player.

Yup... Sounds about right.

If you have Mahomes, I don't think you should play give up football even on a 2nd or 3rd and forever.

You’re giving Carolina and The Raiders wayyyyy too much credit.

They are both better than Dallasss.

This goes back quite a ways, but I recall Kurt Goveia (sp) and Mark Bavaro doing well for us also.

I hated losing Barber after the 02 season.

Baltimore has a dilemma. Jackson is great against average teams and below average teams. But, the evidence is mounting that he can't beat other good teams that scheme to stop his running.  And, when you get to the playoffs, that's what you get.  They should try to trade him after this season, but I don't know what the return would be for him.

We are on the precipice of committing to a slower version with a weaker arm.

I looked it up once, but I believe Barnett has more penalty yards than sack yards in his career.

Who's less accurate and can't process the field as quickly.

I can't remember if we got Barber to replace Emmons or if we had them both together for one season.

We lost Emmons after 03. He went to NY the same time we brought Dhani Jones from NY.

Is there some stat that keeps track? I'm curious where he ranks with other DEs regarding personal fouls

Alex Singleton might be the most overrated player on the team.

He had a tough game today.  It's no secret our LBs are not very good and we don't value the position that much.

Not for long. To be fair, he played pretty well last year. He hasn’t been very good this season.

Kurt Gouveia just looked like a LB.  I could be wrong but he was brought in with Mike Zordich, Greg Jackson, William Fuller and Ronnie Dixon.  Really solid veterans that bridged the gap for Ray Rhodes.  I really liked that defense.  William Thomas was still blossoming too.

Agree, losing Barber was big.  He was ahead of his time.  Loved him here.

Pulling the tag back from Trott may have cost them a SB.

He was in on some good tackle from what I remember

Yup, emmons barber and trotter would have been pretty good,

Instead we got to watch Barry Gardner and fat levon Kirkland get worked all year.
