Yea, but how well can he practice?

I see 140 views on the youtube video today. Thats excellent if that many people had it playing for 3 hours or so. We could be well on our way to monitization sooner than later.

Would have liked to see more than 16 comments. and 34 subscribers with that many views.

Alex Singleton might be the most overrated player on the team.

Told y’all he was the JAG to focus on in 2021

There was way more than 16 comments in the chat box.  That's where the action was.

That was quite a nice tackle there.

I could be wrong, but the chat piece may not be relevant to the Youtube algorithm.

Likes, comments and video viewing time.

I got home at almost 9 o clock. I had 7 hours of horrible, sloppy youth football, and a bunch of crying kids writhing on the field for things like getting a finger stepped on.

I did not feel like watching the game, yet. I had enough football.

I dont always take the time to watch a DVRd loss. But on my drive home I talked to my friend who was a 49ers fan. He really spoke highly of the eagles today. He felt they dominated pretty much the whole game and should have won. There was the reagor TD that got called back. He also spoke of a very bad spot by the refs where I guess the eagles should have had a 1st down. He said our defense looks awesome.

I think most of us knew this wouldnt be a spectacular season. But Im encouraged by his impression of the game, and this team. I may actually watch this loss.

I read every page of this thread, and it sounds like his assessment isnt too far from what happend. Of course, the red zone offense is frustrating, and it seems like Reid at times, Sirianna  likes to get too cute. Saw evidence of that last week too even in a convincing win.

My friend thinks Hurts is ok. But did say we probably win with a better QB.

I feel like if Watson can get cleared sooner than later, we throw the farm at Houston for him and make the playoffs easily.  Not just make playoffs, but actually make noise in the playoffs.

It felt like a game where Eagles should of won but just shot themselves in the foot or failed to execute in key moments. Game momentum was with us until the 4th and goal that resorted in 0 points.

i did miss last 10 minutes of the game so not sure what happened there, I know Eagles almost did comeback

yeah. I see that. Im not sure if that helps with the algorithm though. I know the chat box is the whole point. But it would be very helpful if everyone at least put 1 comment in the comment section even if you wanna just say Ben Simmons Sucks. Those comments matter to youtube.

The video especially needs to be liked. 18 likes with 140 views. We need to do better.

Someone posted about the Eagles lacking an identity earlier.  It's a good question.

What exactly was today's gameplan?  Was it to attack with go routes the entire game?  That's what it seemed like.

Miles Sanders had 13 carries but was averaging over 4 yards a carry.  Why not establish the run game more?  Side note, watching the Ravens, they have 3 street FA who just joined the team and their power running game looks better than the Eagles.

DeVonta Smith was targeted 7 times and only had 2 catches.  You traded up with a division rival to get him.  You need to make him the focal point of the passing game and give him the ball.  Get creative.  He needs the ball in his hands.

They dialed up the deep ball but clearly they weren't connecting.  Why no adjustments to run some comebacks, slants and work across the middle.

Last week we heard Sirianni say "players, players, players, players" and that seemed to be exactly what they did against the Falcons.  They ran and schemed plays that took advantage of what their players did best.  This week, outside of using Watkins speed on the deep ball, I can't name one play they ran that took advantage of what their players do best.

Today was not a well called game by Sirianni and Hurts completed 11 passes for 99 yards if you take away the Watkins catch, which you can't.

What do we as fans want this team to be?  Should we ride Sanders in to the ground while he's young?  Should we continually air it out?  Throw to Smith 15 times a game?  Be a tight end heavy team?  I literally have no idea right now.

That’s part of the problem I have with the "play your players to their strengths instead of a specific scheme” on offense. It’s a good coach quote in theory but if your offense and players are limited, it leads to what we saw for two weeks. Short passes, screens, QB runs with the low percentage long ball mixed in. Players can have strengths, but they need to consistently be able to do all at an average level, including middle of the field and intermediate throws.

Willing to give Hurts this season to show progression. Would love for him to be the answer. But it he plays Weeks 17-18 like he played today, I'm all in on another solution to the problem.

In years past where we expect to be contenders thatd be very frustrating, and we have seen it many times. But in a season where people really expected to suck, its somewhat encouraging that we basically had them beat.

It seems that we are going to do well against our crappy division. The question that will really determine what kind of season we have, is if we are good enough to actually steal a few other games against some of the tougher teams. And after today.... maybe. Maybe not. But maybe.

Hurts' arm strength is TBD.  At times it looks sufficient and other times seems not strong enough.

Disagree. It is what it is. Average at best. You can win with it but then you need to excel in timing, accuracy and touch.

Not sure I'd go that far.   They were completely incompetent in the red zone.  That's not a good sign.

It won't come to that, Howie will throw in the farm for Watson.

Yet Watson has a no trade clause and doesn't want to come here.

It's only been mentioned 10 million times already.

So no worries.......he won't trade for Mr. Massage.

TBD. Reid doesn’t believe in joint practices so he’s 0-0

As long as MIA is in on Deshaun Watson, that’s where he’s headed.

They didn’t really. Would have took a defensive 3 and out and a GWD we haven’t yet seen out of Hurts. This game is tough because the Eagles currently aren’t a team that can afford losses like these.

Reagor had a TD. I doubt that the fact that he barely stepped out was the difference that would have allowed him to be tackled without scoring.

I do agree about the red zone. But we could have and maybe should have won in spite of that.

In the end, might be better we didnt so the staff can be more self critical and fix that issue.

Like last week running a 4th and 1 with Gainwell. We have Sanders proven to be really good. Stick with him in short yardage. I havent even watched todays game but I could tell decisions like that are going to be a regularity. Players need to execute to perfection to overcome that stuff.

I just went on YouTube (think somewhere here there is a link to the video) and did a search for EaglesMessageBoard and found the video.  There's at least a few, but 2 of them say 'test' video.  Then 'like' the video and click on 'Subscribe'.  There's a chat box for comments, which you can open in a separate window.  It seems it helps the EMB to keep the video playing, which is just a pic with the date and who the Eagles are playing, as how long it's watched (aka leave it on in the background) helps get it bumped up in the queue as a suggested video to others and the EMB makes more money from it.  Something like that.

With how much Hurts uses his legs he won't last a full season.

Go to the video, and click the subscribe button so you are subscribed to the channel. # of subscribers helps.

Also, go to each video, I think there have been 3 so far, and click the thumbs up button to give each video a like. Those help.

Leave a comment, not in the chat box, but in the comment section under each video.

Yes, the idea is to have a game day chat. But ideally this youtube channel will eventually fund the board. Chatting is not what will accomplish that goal. Its the subscribers, likes, and comments. You need a certain amount of those things, plus watched hours of videos in order to apply for monetization of the channel. At that point, youtube will pay us based on views.

The likes, comments, and subscriptions are things that youtube uses in its algorithm in order to suggest the video to other random users. So somewhere some eagles fan who opens youtube will have our video popping up right in front of his face without even searching for it. And thats how viewership will grow. The more viewers, the more money we make for the boards.

Ah gotcha ok. I just saw the scoreboard when eagles scored and was told their was almost a comeback
