Well he’s 4th in targets out of the WR’s.

Sad thing is, that's actually true!

I'll disagree, just because a DB gets his head around doesn't mean he can run into the WR and redirect his route.

Does reagor need to do a better job of the first 10 yards of his route? Yes.

And imo the DB still made contact with him, I've seen refs call DBs for far less and Ive seen refs let DBs get away with far more as well.

It was a big play, I don't think it was as egregious a no call as where Jimmy ward hit reagor 20 yards down field on his scissor route after the corner passed him off and ward would have been beat, if ward doesn't pretty much jam him it's a TD, Instead refs look the other way🤔

Maybe me expecting the refs to have some sort of consistency is unrealistic.

Wrong.

ARTICLE 2. PROHIBITED ACTS BY BOTH TEAMS WHILE THE BALL IS IN THE AIR

Acts that are pass interference include, but are not limited to:

  1. Contact by a player who is not playing the ball that restricts the opponent’s opportunity to make the catch;
  2. Playing through the back of an opponent in an attempt to make a play on the ball;
  3. Grabbing an opponent’s arm(s) in such a manner that restricts his opportunity to catch a pass;
  4. Extending an arm across the body of an opponent, thus restricting his ability to catch a pass, and regardless of whether the player committing such act is playing the ball;
  5. Cutting off the path of an opponent by making contact with him, without playing the ball;
  6. Hooking an opponent in an attempt to get to the ball in such a manner that it causes the opponent’s body to turn prior to the ball arriving; or
  7. Initiating contact with an opponent by shoving or pushing off, thus creating separation.
    Note: If there is any question whether player contact is incidental, the ruling should be no interference.

ARTICLE 3. PERMISSIBLE ACTS BY BOTH TEAMS WHILE THE BALL IS IN THE AIR

Acts that are permissible by a player include, but are not limited to:

  1. Incidental contact by an opponent’s hands, arms, or body when both players are competing for the ball, or neither player is looking for the ball. If there is any question whether contact is incidental, the ruling shall be no interference.
  2. Inadvertent tangling of feet when both players are playing the ball or neither player is playing the ball.
  3. Contact that would normally be considered pass interference, but the pass is clearly uncatchable by the involved players, except as specified in 8-3-2 and 8-5-4 pertaining to blocking downfield by the offense.
  4. Laying a hand on an opponent that does not restrict him in an attempt to make a play on the ball.
  5. Contact by a player who has gained position on an opponent in an attempt to catch the ball.

I was also pleased the kept Stoll.  I think having Stoll is better in the long term.

Question is... does Jackson stay on the IR indefinitely waiting for an injury to one of the other TEs, or does Stoll get kicked to the PS, or does Jackson kick to the PS?

Jackson needs practice, so him staying on IR seems the least likely outcome... but not sure what their plan is.

Take what you can get for Ertz at the deadline

I mean, maybe he didn't expect a bottom 5 passing team, but he got the team he wanted. Those actions have consequences. I don't doubt that at all, I also agree with those who have said if Hurts doesn't pan out this year, they will either draft a QB or trade for one. My money is on them trading for one and I still think it could end up being Russell Wilson.

I agree with your overall premise. Hurts needs to show real growth to stay.

Howie is also wired to trade Hurts for picks and use those picks for another QB.

 when is this going to stop! Why do we want to do this with Mailata but, it was never brought up with Lane? He is faster and actually played with the ball in his hands in actual American football.

You are right.  Put Lane at QB, and Mailata lines up in the pistol.  Perfect goalline scenario!

I know Lane was once a QB, but does he have much experience actually running with it into a crowd?

I think people are more interested in Mailata because the images of him plowing through people while carrying a ball are fresh in everyone's mind right now.

He went from QB to TE to OT, I believe.    Jason Peters was also a TE in college.  Another missed opportunity!

Gardner Minshew was traded for a conditional 6. If Hurts doesn’t show enough for us to want to keep him, what could he possibly be worth?

Good question.

Hurts has shown to be better than Minshew so far. Tannehill went for a 4. Hurts is around the same level as Miami Tannehill (not Titans Tannehill), so a 4?

Stopping by to say I'd be extremely pissed if we traded for Russell Wilson.

Doing well overall.   Just trying to get through each day.  ;)

I guess that all depends on what he actually ends up showing.

Hurts has shown to be better than Minshew and similar to Miami Tannehill? I don't know about that...

If he doesn’t work out for us then I’m guessing the rest of the league would view him as a backup QB. According to the eagles that means he’s worth a second as thats "the reason” they initially drafted him. The rest of the league may disagree with that evaluation.

A bottom 5 passing team? I’m expecting the Watson rumors to start again if there’s another bad outing in Dallas

Okay. I have to ask.

What metric are you using to make the (ludicrous) statement, "A bottom 5 passing team?”

By the way, the Eagles are currently averaging 7.7 yards per pass attempt (13th in the NFL).

I think he'd be worth more to us as a backup than whatever we could get for him. Basically, I think maybe we get a 4th or 5th.

I didn't say it was PI I said it was illegal contact.

Two separate and distinctively different penalties.

Not that i disagree with your premise (cause i don’t think they are a bottom five. I believe There’s some worse. However I’m not betting we finish top 15 either) but a 91 yard reception kind of skews that a little. We had 8.3 yards per attempt with the 91 yard reception on 23 throws. Without it on the other 22 throws it was 4.5 yards per attempt. Can’t take the 91 yarder away but i don’t think their yards per attempt Sunday for the other 22 attempts was very indicative of the 8.3

They are 27th in passing yards
