75% is looking more and more unlikely. Isray seemed a little bit peeved in his statement on Wentz I posted above.  Hopefully they can keep him protected and he doesn't do anything dumb to put himself at risk.  For our sake and his.

But yeah I'm starting to think high 2nd rounder is the best case scenario.  We'll see.

Keep saying this, because everytime you guys say this he plays another game.

For you college football guys.  Who's stood out as players you might like the Eagles to add at some point?

For me, Isaiah Spiller, the RB from Texas A&M just always impresses me.  I think he's going to be a great pro.  Probably a 2nd round pick.  6-1 225, great all around back.  Spiller and Gainwell would be an imposing backfield.

Michigan RB, Blake Corum has stood out.  5-8 200, very Westbrook like in the way he's built and plays the game.  Exciting player.

Matt Corral, he's been discussed.  Probably the top QB in the draft to me.

UGA TE Brock Bowers.  Mentioned him yesterday.

Florida QB Emory Jones.  He's not a franchise QB but I think he'll be a great backup, especially if Hurts is the guy.

ND safety Kyle Hamilton.

ND RB Chris Tyree and Kyren Williams.  Tyree is a blazer who could come in here, be a change of pace and solve KR questions. Williams is another good all around back.

I haven't noticed too many stud LB or pass rushers yet, at least none have stood out as top 10 pick kinds of guys in the games I've watched.

Spiller is someone who stood out to me.  Texas A&M O-line didn't seem very good to me yesterday.

Emory Jones......no thanks.

The rest are definitely good players.  Hamilton might be a target if the Eagles struggle at safety.

Excited for Miami to make a desperation trade.

It's funny hearing all the talk radio and debate shows, Pat Mcafee has talked about it, etc, pointing out how reckless he plays and he needs to be smarter to stay healthy and be on the field.

We've only been saying this for the past 2 years.

But I thought he was coachable?

I find it hard to believe someone would offer three 1sts and three 2nds for a guy nobody is even sure will be playing.

This whole situation makes no sense.

If a team offered that much for Watson, I couldn't sign off on that deal quick enough if I'm Houston.

Hey I hope I'm wrong.  I want that first round pick and I hope he has a successful career.  Just don't love the odds of a guy with his injury history taking the kind of hits he has been taking staying functional all season.

Well.as of right now the odds are in his favor because there is only 1 season that he didn't play 75% of the snaps and that was 2018 and even with all those missed games he was still at I think 68%

He can miss about 4 full games I believe what the estimate was and still get 75%

He only missed more then that once in 5 seasons.

A team offered that much BEFORE his legal issues went public. It was during the stance when the Texans said they will never trade Watson. Its just another way the media turns nothing into something.

I'll be the first to admit I wanted him to stay and rather they hire a new HC.  They did that but he still wanted out.

It's early but it seems Reich is even having a tough time getting thru to him.  Nobody will ever question his toughness.  He just needs to slide, get out of bounds or throw it away when nothing is there.  Not sure he ever will.

He didn't hit it last year either (71.5%)

He's also unvaccinated so would have a longer quarantine protocol if he has a close contact etc

Plus the Colts have incentive to not play him if they're not in the playoff hunt by the end of the year to avoid paying up the 1st round pick, although that could obviously cause drama

I am sure.  He never will.

I don’t disagree - I’m just not sure what actions of McNabbs you didn’t like?

Ben Simmons is a fraud, go away.

I honestly can't pick one out and say this was it but I just recall years back, maybe when the Eagles won the SB that he just seemed bitter towards the organization and said a lot of dumb stuff on the radio.  I'm not sitting here fuming when I hear the name Donovan McNabb, I just know that he came off as a huge DBag at one point and that stuck with me.

I only like Emory Jones as a backup.  If you can get him in the 5th that would be great.  He might be better off going the Greg Ward road however.

Yes but it wasn't because of injury that he didn't hit it last year.

Also you have  seen what happened when he got benched last year. Do you really think Reich is going to take that risk by sitting him out for 4 games straight to save a pick by 1 round? I don't

I don't see a scenario where sitting him 4 games is an option. That division is terrible I don't think anyone is running away with it. They had the Rams tied up before Wentz went down.

Hey getting benched for poor performance is still losing snaps, and he continues to play in a way that's going to set himself up for turnovers

It's also important to note that he only hit 78% in 2017 so you can also look at it as he's been in the 70s and below for 3/5 years (how to make statistics fit your narrative 101 on my part lol)

It would be the smart move on their part, but no I don't think they would bench him unless the team is really spiraling the drain.  Even then I think it would be more of an "IR him for an injury he could probably play through" kind of move than an outright benching.

We'll see.  I hope I'm wrong and he plays every game for them this year and stinks it up, before moving on to a happy and successful career in 2022 and beyond.  Just used to not being able to have things turn out well at this point when it comes to the Eagles.

I can. Their schedule makes it where they could be 4-8 or 3-9 by week 12. They have at titans (today), at Miami, at ravens, vs. Houston, at San Francisco, vs. Titans, vs. Jets, vs. jags, at Buffalo and vs. tampa bay. The only wins that you could say are likely guaranteed are Jets, jags and Houston. i don’t think if the Colts lose twice to the Titans they aren’t going to win the division. If they are 4-8 after 12 games they still have at Houston, vs. Patriots, at Arizona, vs. Vegas and at jags. They realistically could finish 3-2 or 4-1 and be 8-9 or 7-10. I’d be willing to bet if they are 3-9 after that bucs game there’s a strong chance they bench wentz knowing they aren’t making the playoffs. Likely they are 4-8 or 3-9 after 12 weeks? Probably not however also against the Colts he might miss a game covid or injury and lose a game they should win cause Eason isn’t good

Wentz is playing today because the Colts are 0-2 and the Titans are their biggest division rival.  If they lose today it's a very far uphill climb to the playoffs.  Conversely, if he plays well, they win, and he's no worse off physically then it's somewhat likely he'll continue to not practice much and play games on Sundays

Hey I've already accepted it was a 2nd round pick long ago lol. I just don't think the odds are against us much as people think.

He has actually been playing decent now the way it is.

I was only saying to keep saying what you did because it seems to be working in the favor of him playing keep the mojo going!

Of course you can lol. I have no desire to dig that deep into it cause I honestly don't care what he does.

I was just joking because people keep giving up on him getting us a 1st then he keeps playing so it became a superstitious type thing for me lol.

The nfl really gave the colts no favors to start the year. First five games are 4 playoff teams and a team that went 10-6 and 3 on the road. I’d argue might be the toughest first 5 games in the league. But I’d have to look at schedules. But Rams, Seattle, at Titans, at Miami and at ravens seems brutal
