All of those guys have an elite running game and turn the ball over much less than Jalen will.

Lamar will probably have the worst rb core he's had since he's been in the league. I like Edwards but there's really zero depth behind him with all those injuries. I expect Lamar to struggle big time this year without a running game

That's weird.  This is the link to start everything up.  Do you have a smart TV?   If you don't, you'd probably have to stream it on your computer and hook it to your TV with an HDMI cable.  I live in Charlotte, NC.  Not sure if that messes any of the services up.

I don't have an account with Directv anymore, before you could buy the stand alone streaming version.  Now it wants me to get the stream or satellite service to get it.

One could find a racist meaning for everyone of those names. I mean, the first one alone is revolting.

Over. Gonna be battling back most of the game. Also see Sirianni giving him the Reagor effect where he gets 3-4 WR screens.

I wouldnt be shocked if Smith had a state line of 9 for 37

I think Miles Sanders is gonna have 20 carries for -150 yards

Over.

He will get the most targets on offense.  Will have plays designed to grt him the ball and will get open on nearly ever play.  He will have a big debut.  He will be close to 6 receptions by the end of the first half.

I think Sanders has an early fumble and as a result doesn't even get 15 combined touches in the game.

That is what I am running into.  My address shows up as able to have DirecTV,  thus no eligibility for season ticket.  I am going to read my HOA rules and see if we can have a dish, but I have never seen one in a 1400 home development.  Maybe that will work...who knows?

If not, I will head to the bar.  That way I can watch the game and kill the pain with premium liquids at the same time.

Wow, that would be something that could never be topped if he did it.

I was clearly making fun of the poster's cartoonish pessimism.

Sanders will be fine, but I think Gainwell will eat into his snaps sooner or later.

I agree, but until this point they've had a good running game. Lamar took the league by storm and dropped off in every single way last season. I imagine he'll continue to do so unless he really learns how to actually play QB.

No team wins with a Throwing RB, but Lamar is as close as it gets to winning with that type of play.

Lamar and the scheme are the two key reasons why that run game is so good.

I'll be pretty disappointed if a healthy Miles Sanders gets less than 10 carries. That would be like the more things change the more they stay the same or something like that.

Remember when they brought Santangelo to integrate more presnap motion and jet sweeps before last season...  good times.

One of the reasons Doug was fired. They bring in a guy with a certain skill and proceed to ignore him.

Agreed. He'll struggle throwing outside the numbers and try to do too much which will lead to a high turnover season for him

Fair enough. As it's been shown time and time again, when the playoffs come around, he plays like garbage.

What about Baker and Tannehill, then?

I don't think that will happen, but he does need to start to catch the ball better to keep himself on the field.

I think Sanders will have his best season in terms of rushing yards now Duce and Doug are gone

I think there's still an open question as to how much the problem was with Doug vs. Wentz on the lack of innovation.  I think fundamentally the problem was that Doug probably did not trust the people he didn't bring in to the building.

If Siriani's offense doesn't incorporate pre-snap motion that will be a bad harbinger of things to come. Doug's refusal to do this was maddening watching other successful offenses around the league. What's the downside? Motion gives the quarterback more pre-play info and can help dress up staple plays so the defense can't key on them as quickly. Like using tempo (as a tactic not an entire offensive philosophy -- cough Chip Kelly 🙃 cough), why wouldn't this be a part of every team's approach to offense? Good offenses are QB-friendly ones.

Jalen Hurts has a good OL, good RBs, an offensive coach for a HC, and young fast WRs. We'll find out if he's good.

...And enviable intermediate targets in Goedert and Ertz.

They force Doug to bring in a guy with a certain skill, and expect that he'd just happily deal with the changes forced on him.   I'm not saying that Doug should have been saved, but I feel pretty good in saying that when a coach is forced to fire coaches he had publicly supported just the day before, the replacements for that job are not going to be warmly received.  In other words, they did Doug wrong.  Either they leave Doug enough rope to hang himself... or they move on.  What they did was cut his legs out from under him and then blamed him for not being able to make it work.

Doug deserved to be fired... but so did others that weren't.  That's my only point.

Meanwhile, Santangelo was available because he had just been fired as an OC by his previous HC who was retained.  Not really in a different boat than Press Taylor, honestly.
