Fiji? I'd like to live in Fiji. The water is awesome.

And games would start at 5 am Fiji time.  I am awake at 5 am, so that would be sweet.

Man, Peters is BAD. How does this guy have a job?

Reputation from when he was dominant.   He must be in some terrible financial trouble to be doing this.   And the Bears would be better to put anyone else at LT, even a backup TE would do better.

To get hyped for tonight. I remember watching this and being amazed.

Freddie had more celebrations after that catch than touchdowns scored that season.

Fields is a bust regardless of his coach.

It gave me pleasure watching him get beat to Sh111t yesterday.

Between the hype the national media gave him(pandering), the way he ran his mouth and being an OSU guy I hope he fails badly

I wasn’t a fields guy but Nagy is proven time and time again he’s not a very good coach. So if i were the owner I’d want a good head coach before just saying fields is a bust.

I don't know why he would have to be in financial trouble.  If someone's willing to pay him he will play since he loves playing and he loves making the money teams will pay him.

He gave Garrett a boost on that first video. It would literally be better with no one there at all.

Maybe he does have financial trouble. Could also be he doesn’t know what else to do with himself if he retires as this is the only thing he’s done for his whole adult life. I also think he probably loves just being with the guys in the locker room. That said he’s awful and still getting paid even though he’s basically finished so maybe it is just money issues.

What a comment

Drafting top 10 QBs for lame duck coaches has never made sense to me. Should've just fired Nagy at the end of last year.

Agree, they need to clean house.

It shows you how bad of a tailspin the franchise goes in when you miss on a "franchise qb". The Trubisky ripple effect is still upon us.

The bears are in a worse spot cause at least the eagles got a SB out of that wentz pick. Without him playing at the level he did for those 13 games they don’t have themselves in position to have HFA and foles to play as great as he did. The Trubisky is worse cause he was not very good but they also missed out on mahomes and watson (before his off the field).

If it's not knowing what else to do, and being around the guys... take the step and flip to the coach side.  Still around the game, still in the meetings.  Its a little different than being 'one of the guys', but you become 'one of the other guys'.

Steve Carlton stuck around well beyond his effectiveness, because his financial advisor robbed him blind.

Read some comments from JAX fans (so like 3 or 4 people). According to them, Henderson wasn't exactly the most motivated or passionate player. Medium risk/high reward trade for CAR.

You’d also have to convince him to be a coach and go through the rigors of working up through the ranks. So at the start he’s not going to be paid nearly as well as being a bad LT for the bears. And still get those benefits of being around the guys and in the locker room.

part of me understands why he keeps doing it. If some dumb GM is gonna keep giving me a nice Paycheck to do something I’ve always loved I’m gonna keep doing it until no one is willing to pay me for it.

Just a little different? Wonder what he means by that.

Probably better for CJH to get out of that cesspool of a franchise anyway.

If it's about being around the game... coaching.   If its financial... the good news is that he's vested and will get money from the NFL pension.

But, he needs to be cut yesterday by the Bears.  He has no business being on the field during an actual game.

The Cowboys have a bottom of the League defense in terms of talent and are essentially missing all of their starters on the d-line.  Their defense has been good at creating turnovers.  I am not sure how much of that is sustainable.  They are missing their LT but their real question on the O-line is Biadasz.  The Eagles can impact the Cowboys offense with interior pressure.  Dak hasn't looked as fast and has run a lot less this season.

I am not sure what you mean by "getting a book." Offensive schemes are about making play calls that exploit weaknesses and match up issues. It's not like teams run completely different schemes each week.  I mean teams are successful when they have good talent and effective schemes.  So having route concepts that beat both man and zone coverage and having a QB that makes and executes the right read.  The Eagles will be able to create match up issues.  The question is execution and play calling.  They need to think about running plays that have some tendency breakers and run different routes off of similar formations.  I am concerned about the lack of the use of motion.  I am not concerned about some Chip Kellyesque type problem where the Eagles essentially are running the same routes and runs on every down.

My getting a book on Hurts and NS offense - The first game for a new coaching staff, no one has an idea on what we are going to do, not a clue- Period. So you can surprise teams, and defensive coaches.  As each game progresses, opposing defenses learn things, Like tendencies of play calling and sets and alignments.

They also can study Hurts and see he is basically making one read and go, that means if they do a decent job of pressuring him and covering up what would be the 1st read on that play, their likelihood of success against him goes up, and yes you can say that about any QB. The difference, Hurts has not progressed to a point where he can and will move onto his 3rd and 4th recieving options as of yet. SO getting a bead on what he likes to do and does well, and then game plan to stop that, make him beat you doing the stuff he is not comfortable with.... Like throwing over the middle.

Last week was a perfect example. Seeing the Breakdown of Hurts passing plays you can see where he was forcing his throw to the 1st read, even though there were often mulptile open choices that would have been much better. And yes this can happen to any QB, it just happens to younger QB's at a much higher rate. Hurts will need to progress or become irrellevant. He is young yet, and he does have another 15 games to do so.

I don’t disagree he should not be on that team. He’s done and bad. However i can see it through his eyes. If some bad GM is going to give me a nice paycheck ($2 million) to keep doing something I’ve loved for years even though I’m not good at it anymore, I’m still going to do it. That’s still $2 mil in my pocket doing something i love and he probably believes capable at

It could be peters is just greedy and wants to earn as much as he can before no one will pay him for it anymore and making the transition to coaching is likely much less unless he becomes a HC or big time assistant.

Eagles have till 4 for any PS promotions. I'm thinking they are going to use at least one with the roster sitting at 52, but I suppose they may just go with what they got. As for that other roster spot, my best guess is they are ready to bring Scott off IR after tonight's game and didn't feel like adding anyone for 1 game to cut them or someone else a week later. Doesn't make a ton of sense to me, but whatever.

Miami hovering at  -2 over the Colts right now.

Need Carson to come through this Sunday.

Yup, although a Colts loss would also be a good thing (assuming we still get a 1st). Colts right now have the 3rd overall pick, Dolphins have the 6th. Early, but promising.

I guess we do... Because if the Colts win then that gives them hope etc. I don't think they'll bench Wentz but there's always a chance. The Miami pick is just about how bad they are and where they finish.

A) Miami losses are good, regardless of opponent.

B) Need the Colts to pick up a win to increase the likelihood of Wentz' continued participation.

Game is in Miami so they usually give the home team 3 points. brissett looked much better in the 4th quarter and overtime. He made some plays at the end of that game to keep the dolphins alive and get them to overtime. his bomb to fuller in ot should’ve been a PI and was on the money to fuller.

Probably doesn't help that they called Dalton the starter before the draft and then drafted Fields but badly use Fields as a gadget QB and stick with Dalton

Yikes. Lost Jeudy and Hamler.
