A) Miami losses are good, regardless of opponent.

B) Need the Colts to pick up a win to increase the likelihood of Wentz' continued participation.

I'm rooting for the best case scenario of a tie.

I don't think Jeudy is done for the year though.

I think it would’ve been more devastating for the Broncos to lose Tim Patrick than hamler. Bridgewater and hamler is a bad fit cause bridgewater doesn’t take enough shots down the field to fully utilize hamler.

he’s out 6-8 weeks.

Let's explore this....

I'd argue the best case scenario is for one of the three possible first rounders to be as close to, if not actually, #1 overall.  There is a uneven slope of value at the top of the draft.  Not only is the potential/talent better at the top, but the certainty of availability of said talent factors in as well.

I'd say picking 5, 15, 16 is better than picking 10, 11, 12, even though the latter sums to a lower number.

Nelson going out and carted off isn’t going to help the Colts. if the Colts are 3-9 or 4-8 (possible) they might say we need to see what we have in Eason moving forward and bench wentz knowing the playoffs are very unlikely. the Colts schedule the rest of the year is this:

Yup, we need the Dolphins to lose. Besides, their first is ours no matter what, so it's easier to just root for their opponents every week. With the Colts is more complicated and I think the best case scenario is getting something between the 10th and 16th pick from them. There's no way they let us have a top 5 pick.

I still can't see a scenario playing out the Colts bench Wentz because of their record. He'd have to play worse than he did last year. He played Week 1 after getting foot surgery and then played on two bum ankles. They are letting him do what he wants. But, I can see them "shutting him down" if he's still playing on a bum foot or two bum ankles and the team is going nowhere. But I can't see them benching him just to preserve a draft pick.

Coincidentally, one of my teams has a home game tonight against Dallas high school.

I can get started routing against Dallas early tonight.

Depends if they still believe Carson is the future for their organization as the year carries on. Irsay didn’t exactly give him a ringing endorsement yesterday when discussing him being reliable (vaccinated). If he gets better over the course of the year I’d agree. If he’s status quo or getting worse and they begin to believe he’s not, i could see them giving Eason some games to see what he is. I think after the bills and bucs games in week 11 and 12 theyll have a more info on how close they are to the upper tier teams in the league to make a decision going forward on the season and wentz’s performance.

Colts are not going to bench Wentz unless he's hurt or they don't plan on bringing him back next year.  If his boy Reich benched him that would ruin him mentally.

Second ACL to go with two concussions and multiple hamstring injuries.  Still has a bad drop rate.

We talked about this a bit in the other thread but I think they will IR him for medical issues so he can "heal" vs benching him after what happened here.

tim Patrick has really been better for them then hamler since drafting hamler. He’s actually been their most reliable WR as Sutton missed last year, jeudy currently hurt and hamler also hurt.

I don't think it was as precautionary as they were saying if he stayed in the hospital overnight.

Imo I tend to think they are likely looking at 4-6 or 5-5 heading into the bills and bucs games ( i think they can beat the dolphins. I also think Houston, jets and jags theyll win. I can see them splitting with the Titans and winning that home game). I think those two games (bills and bucs) likely determine a lot about the Colts season and where they view themselves in the grand scheme of things.

With the Colts 0-3 there are strong odds they'll miss the playoffs at this point, so 75% becomes the threshold.  That means Wentz has to start and finish 13 out of the 17 games (if the snap counts are fairly constant per game) on his bad ankles.

Best to focus on the Dolphins being bad for the time being.

Yeah, they will be helped by the weak division as long as the Titans don't run away with things.

Let's use 2 1st round picks to draft a WR best known for his speed and throw near the LOS.

Yes, which is why we should all be cheering for a Colts win this week coming. It's really the best scenario for us

Obviously trying to outshine Greg Ward.

I’m guessing their long term plans likely don’t include brissett starting nor tua who aren’t exactly great at throwing the deep ball. I wouldn’t have given up 2 firsts to get waddle either but i think if they get rodgers or trade for watson (assuming he isn’t in prison) then he’d likely be used differently
