He should start caring more about family and health.  Especially this week.

Does it really matter ?? He can take the week off and Bienemy will scheme up and drop 40 on us.

What happens first, Greg Ward reception or Boston Scott snap?

My getting a book on Hurts and NS offense - The first game for a new coaching staff, no one has an idea on what we are going to do, not a clue- Period. So you can surprise teams, and defensive coaches.  As each game progresses, opposing defenses learn things, Like tendencies of play calling and sets and alignments.

They also can study Hurts and see he is basically making one read and go, that means if they do a decent job of pressuring him and covering up what would be the 1st read on that play, their likelihood of success against him goes up, and yes you can say that about any QB. The difference, Hurts has not progressed to a point where he can and will move onto his 3rd and 4th recieving options as of yet. SO getting a bead on what he likes to do and does well, and then game plan to stop that, make him beat you doing the stuff he is not comfortable with.... Like throwing over the middle.

Last week was a perfect example. Seeing the Breakdown of Hurts passing plays you can see where he was forcing his throw to the 1st read, even though there were often mulptile open choices that would have been much better. And yes this can happen to any QB, it just happens to younger QB's at a much higher rate. Hurts will need to progress or become irrellevant. He is young yet, and he does have another 15 games to do so.

I don't think the Eagles and most other offenses are designing plays that really have multiple reads. I think most plays have multiple designed reads based on coverage and defensive alignment.  Playing the QB position is about approaching the line understanding what you see.  Teams are not frequently winning by the QB getting to the 3rd or 4th read.  Look at the top QBs in the League in terms of time to throw: https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/passing/2021/REG/all#average-time-to-throw  The top QBs are well under 3 seconds whereas Hurts is just over 3 seconds.  Being a good offense isn't about making it to your 4th read, it's about making the decision pre-snap where your team has a mismatch and looking off coverage to help that player get open. This is where the Eagle should really incorporate more pre-snap motion to help Hurts identify the coverage.  Hurts needs to know walking up to the line of scrimmage who is the likely best option.

life comes at you fast department where preseason Justin fields said he felt the game was slow and jamar chase sucked cause he dropped some passes after not playing football for a year and a half.

Here’s the thing about the Colts potentially benching Wentz.  That means they give up on the season.  That impacts the coaches and their chance at continuing their careers.  Same with the GM.  That impacts players on the roster, including ones they might want to keep and those free agents that they may want to attract.  It is one thing to tank the last game of the season and give a chance to younger players to play and quite another to blow the last fourth of the season.  Further, we know how Wentz reacted to being benched for a second round choice.  How does he handle getting benched for Hundley or Eason?

Just beat Dallas.

Man, the Colts and the Dolphins potentially having rough seasons makes me excited for next year. I'd love to finally get a dominant pass rusher again.

Take the bolded.... thats half of it, the other half is post snap, knowing when reading post snap the #1 target, when that coverage has shifted, where to move onto the next and so on.... knowing where your check down or outlet is etc. Hurts is not on that level.

He knows where his #1 read is, and was forcing it in to them.

which is MY POINT. Defenses disguise coverages, and will confuse the guy, and he doesn't know where to go with it when they take away the #1 read for the play.  He bails, sometimes he knows where the outlet option is.

Question is do the Colts have to bring wentz back next year? They could take the hit of 15 mil and save 13 mil. Makes more sense after 2022 to move on cause no dead money hit. (They have to make a decision by 3rd day of the new league year because it becomes fully guaranteed then)

but if the Colts aren’t very good and he’s trending in the wrong direction as the season continues i don’t think that’s out of the question. His owner already called him out yesterday about availability/reliability in terms of the vaccine. Not sure he’s exactly in the good graces of jim irsay.

The Colts have basically turned into the eagles from last year. Hilton their speed receiver is hurt out for half the season. Quinten Nelson their best olineman got carted off yesterday. They didn’t have their starting left tackle week 1. Their right tackle is dealing with a bad foot. Their schedule imo might be the toughest opening 5 games in the league. They got seattle, Rams, at Titans, at Miami and at ravens. Good chance 4 of those 5 teams are in the playoffs (Miami likely not and seattle imo can go either way. I tend to think seattle is good but not a SB contender due to lackluster defense and oline play).

College football is a terrible terrible product.

of the 22 games that included a top 25 team, only 3 were within 1 score(rest were blow outs) yea thats fun to watch.

Bama and Ga won by a combined 125 to 14, again totally fun to watch.

I get why people like college but product wise it's god awful.

Watching 1 team who has a clear advantage in every aspect beat the piss out of another team is a terrible product

I believe that is now $ 5,000.00 you owe me.
