This is the first season in awhile that doesnt have the double header Monday night. Wonder why?

It's the new TV deal they signed. They are scrapping the MNF opener double header and instead doing a Saturday night double header on ESPN late in the season for teams in playoff contention.

I give up lol. What do they represent?

If he hit those numbers, he would have the same career passing stats as Gardner Minshew ( 20 games ) after 21 games.

I knew it had something to do with Minshew but I wasn't sure lol. :worthy: Minshew

How do you get to the end zone ??

Any way possible.  Hurts can pass, run or hand it off.

And consistently getting the ball to the 20 for easy FGs counts too.

Don't have to have a premier QB:

2020:  Colts (9), washed up Rivers, Raiders (10) Carr, Vikings (11) Cousins

2019:  Ravens (1) Jackson, 49ers (2) Garoppolo, TB (4) Winston, Dallas (6) Prescott, Vikings (8) Cousins

2018:  Rams (2) Goff, Bears (9) Trubisky

2017:  Rams (1) Goff, Eagles (2) Wentz, Jags (5) Bortles, KC (6) Smith, Det (7) Stafford, Ravens (9) Flacco, Vikings (10) Keenum

2016:  Dallas (5) Prescott, Arizona (6) Palmer, Oakland (7) Carr

Conversely, GB with Rodgers, 2015 (15), 2018 (14), 2019 (15) - even the best QB can't create points by himself.

Build a deep offensive group and you can find a QB, but without that? Watson 2017 (17), 2018 (11), 2019 (14), 2020 (18).

Yes. I feel like 250 total yards per game is acceptable on a superficial level.

Are we run heavy? Are we a slow paced offense? There is way too much to it then to simply write off a number as unacceptable without context.

I think you're right but it at least would tell us something in terms of his ability.   If you look at yards in a season, the mean was 3,445 in terms of the top 32 QBs.  The median was 3,768.  Of course, that reflects season totals where they all didn't have the same number of games played.  If you look at that for the top 32 QBs in terms of top yards per game, you get an average that is close to 250 at 246.08 and a mean of 248.9.  If you just look at starting QBs who started at least 10 games, you get 251.1 and a median of 256.4.  The standard deviation is at about 36 yards meaning a top 10 QB is around 290 yards per game in terms of production.  Of course looking at those QBs, you get Goff in the top 10 with Mayfield and Tannehill in the bottom of the League.   Of course out of the top 10, Goff is the only outlier.  He and Carr are arguably the only outliers in the top half of the yards per game.  So I think it would be a positive.

Then why are you trying to say that's his job? Quarterbacks job is passing the ball and finding and hitting open receivers. It's the whole offenses job to score points.

I was just busting your chops.  I remember you telling us that.  I wear XL and I am 5 10 and 220lbs.  So I wear XL because I'm fat.

I went ahead and bolded all the conference title game QB's from those years for you.

Now, lets look at the conference title game QB's and their rank in passing yards per game

2020 - 1,3, 5, 7

2019 - 7, 16, 17, 25

2018 - 2, 5, 11, 12

2017 - 1, 12, 15, 18

I did have a few of these type of shirts back in the late 80's early 90's.  Like this one.

Erock is my boy! Cool guy actually sent me some Eagles stuff more than once.

Thank you.  And conversely, the defense needs to stop the other team from scoring points.

Cowboys first 4 games, Cowboys averaged 31.5 PPG, and Dak was well on his way to being MVP and breaking the single season passing record.

31.5 PPG is plenty to win, but, they were a Falcons meltdown covering an onside kick away from being 0-4.

Judging a QB on points scored is dumb.

Employee misclassification and insurance premium fraud are rampant in the workers' compensation industry.  The other big source of fraud is fraudulent billing by medical providers to carriers.

These too.  But there is fraud from "injured workers” too.  But look here for an example of fraud acceptance.  Claim your cousin’s wife’s nephew college to purchase Sunday Ticket or Game Pass for a student discount is widely accepted.   Cheating is widely accepted. And it just costs the rest of us in what is charged.  Cheat on premiums, fraudulent bill medical expenses, claim benefits when the injury was not at work.  Those all raise premiums for those honest companies.  Higher premiums may mean less jobs.   The insurance industry is highly regulated on worker’s compensation premiums.  They are regulated so they take in enough premium and so they don’t ask too much.  It is not a high profit business by any stretch of the imagination.  When was the last time a financial adviser told you to buy stock in a worker’s compensation carrier?

I expect a deep pass early to open up the running game.  A lot of dink and run with some sporadic long passes thrown in to keep the defense guessing.  I look for routes that result in decent YAC.  Pretty basic combination of WCO/RPO approach. I look for good use of motion and we are going to see some mesh, a fair amount of crossing patterns and good use of the RBs as pass catchers out of the backfield.  I expect much better use of screens that aren’t so obvious like they were with Pederson.

Ok, not a little....a lot.

I don't see chick's wanting to wear that when you have Minshew on the team.
