I’m pretty sure he wasn’t blown off the ball.  Lbs played terrible.

Yup.  Dallas ran duo (double teamed) against Cox and Hargrave and dared the LBs and Safeties to fill holes / make tackles.

Ours suck, so that didn't happen.

I can name multiple games last season where Doug Pederson called a worse game than tonight.   Every decision he made last year was to the detriment of his players.  From personnel decisions, sticking with older guys, 7 step drops without rolling the QB out while you’re on your 14th offensive line formation, having Greg Ward as a primary target, etc etc. I could just keep going.

I don’t think Sirianni is the answer by the way but it’s too early to write him off. It’s obvious that he’s handicapped by his QB. When he throws a horrible pick in their 1st possession and their 2nd possession is on the 1 inch line for a combined total of 3 minutes of TOP, it’s no wonder they couldn’t run the ball.

You And I are 99% on the same page, but Doug never was in the realm of this.

I love Foles. Wish he stayed.

He isn't fixing this team or the long term solution

He didn’t.  Because it was all Wentz’s fault.  What do I win?

Wentz didn’t help anything last year and he hasn’t helped Indy this year either. So I’d let that one go.

Game plan probably is better when for 5.5 consecutive quarters your QB isn’t 13/30 with 2 ints.

sirianni’s game plans have been garbage the last two weeks. So has our passing game cause we continue miss wide open receivers or tight ends. And when we do have success we have wide receivers stepping on the out of bounds line or we commit penalties that take it away.

But if his game plans are garbage, how are wrs and te's getting wide open?  Maybe it's on the QB for not finding these open guys.

I admit he does need to commit to a run game more.  I'm starting to think it is true about Lurie wanted to see a pass heavy offense.

Hope she recovers fully. Sending prayers. I lost my grandma to a fall where she broke her ribs (had other health issues) so falls at that age are always scary.

My mother definitely has other health issues had a T.I.A. (aka mini-stroke), last week and has been battling lung cancer for the past 2 and a half years. But taking all of that into account, she's doing as well as can be expected.

No. But there's no QB on the roster right now that is anyway. At least Foles is a proven winner. I'd actually like to see what Minshew has.

Andy started 1999 0-4.

Lost to the Bills 0-26 in the third game.

He used to be the reason teams couldn't run on us.  I remember Thanksgiving Day when we routed them with Sanchez when Cox met Elliott in the backfield and lit him up for a huge loss.  Today they ran without resistance.

Read my post.

That wasn’t on Cox.  He wasn’t blown off the ball.  He was also occupying Martin and Connor much of the game.

Hopefully you get a lot more time with her. I’d tell you spend it with her more than watching this season ahead. It’ll be way more meaningful and better memories. Need anything let me know

this man is no andy.  Andy was a football coach.  Nick is a PR puppet for the GM and Owner to play coach.

No doubt that was an awful showing all around, but let’s keep some perspective...

We have a new coaching staff. There are going to be growing pains. We have a QB we all knew was not a polished passer. There will be growing pains.

Most of all, we knew this was a rebuilding year. The plan stays the same: keep playing Hurts to see if he develops. If he doesn’t we’ll have a top pick plus a slew of extra picks.

This was never going to be a playoff team: we knew this. We lack too end talent.

I'd like to see Minshew as well

When Hurts throws the ball 40 times you aren't winning.

That’s another problem we kept complaining about Carson Wentz last year was holding onto the ball too long. Going to have to get it out faster likely lost Brooks and seumalo for long period of time.

At this point (to salvage both of their careers) if I were Sirianni I would just let Hurts play. Run if he needs to run and let him play his game….because Sirianni isn’t a QB whisperer.

Hurst...

"I didn't execute.  I didn't do a good enough job.  This one is on me."

Couple of things...

-I hate the way Gannon uses his personnel. It's like he doesn't utilize them to their strengths or try to protect their weaknesses. He just treats them like nameless, attribute-less pieces. Kerrigan as a 3-4 DE? Avery and Patrick Johnson getting so many snaps? Tarron and Marlon too. He's trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. It's even more asinine considering he refused to play anything other than 2 high for the majority of the game, putting all the pressure on the front to handle the running game.

-The offense sucks for a lot of reasons. It's hard to know for sure what kind of gameplan Sirianni has put together with such bad play at QB and the OL. Running the ball 3 times is crazy though. But our pieces on offense don't really come together well. We're collecting a bunch of (not very good) players, not building a team. Hurts can't drop back and pass, the WRs are very unpolished. I'm not sure what gameplan will work for this offense. Hurts obviously isn't it.

Really??  @austinfan said he is the perfect coach for a rebuild.

Oh, you would. Would you?  Is that what basic football 101 has taught you?

Wentz was the worst QB in the league last year and he’s not too far off this year.

That wasn't on Cox?  I wasn't talking about any specific play, we got run on the entire whole friggin enchilada of a game.

Cox making excuses all post game after tapping out.  Just seems void of the leadership he had his entire time here.  Graham and Jenkins were the leaders of that D.  Jenkins left and then Graham got injured.  Now Cox is playing excuse game in post games while the defense is running up penalties.

My grandma, in her 80s, is in the hospital right now. Her recovery from gallbladder surgery isn’t going well, and just got covid. Been off and on in recovery so far since we took her in a week ago. Just mentioning that to say I understand what you’re going through. I hope everything works out for your mother and she’s able to recover

There's no fun in that approach.

Where is the cynicism, insults, criticism, and acrimony?

Hurts isn't any better though. We are going to have to draft one. AGAIN.
