Can you come up with another sane reason for it ??

But if his game plans are garbage, how are wrs and te's getting wide open?  Maybe it's on the QB for not finding these open guys.

I admit he does need to commit to a run game more.  I'm starting to think it is true about Lurie wanted to see a pass heavy offense.

I’m 100% sure know they are in a rebuild. So finding out if hurts to make the right reads, make the passes and can be the long term solution at QB is probably the number one thing they want to know going into next year.

siriani’s game plan was stupid to not give his QB a rushing attack. It’s beyond ridiculous they had just 3 rushing attempts by a RB.

I don’t disagree with your assessment that there were TEs and wide receivers open. The scheme was getting those guys open and separation. What I said that in the first half but our Qb couldnt make the simple passes to extend drives.

The problem could be two things. your HC has to see and notice his quarterback is not really played well for about 5 1/2 consecutive quarters so you need to run the ball more and make Dallas stop that. The other problem could be your quarterback cannot miss easy completion to extend drive. For 6 1/2 quarters the Eagles scored 11 points on offense. That’s not all game plan. When you throw more touchdown passes to your opponent than your own WRs for 6.5 quarters and the eagles defense has as many touchdowns that’s not all on sirianni.  Both sirianni and hurts were bad for different reasons.

McCarthy is a fraud.  Sirianni just lacks the ability. He’s not fooling anyone at this point.

I mentioned a few days ago how I hated the "Beat Dallas" shirt he wore last week. It obviously wasn't why they lost tonight, but guys in this league look for literally anything for bulletin board material and I think it would be wrong to think that wasn't at the least in the Dallas players and staff head tonight. Now it's become a meme and a joke.

Nick's shtick is going to get old real quick. The quirky interviews, the t-shirts, the catchphrases. It's all cute and fun when the team is winning, but people will get sick of it if they get off to a 1-4 start. I'm not calling for his head, but I'm just not a fan of the gimmicky, ra-ra stuff.

No one is asking him to play 3-4. It's his job to make the personnel work better, not force the players to play the way you want them to.

Yeah the 3-4 zone in the red zone with the LB’s we have was definitely a head scratcher.   That said, Gannon has been decent (other than tonight) so I’ll put his performance under "growing pains”.

Ertz...

 - Too many mistakes.  Penalties.  Not efficient on first and second down.  Too many three-and-outs in the first half.

Sirianni was terrible tonight. That’s actually the most obvious and reasonable answer. It’s not like we had this drastic of a split the previous two weeks.

Eagles should petition the city of Philadelphia to not allow fans next week

Game plan falls on the head coach; I don’t care if he has Lurie and Howie over each shoulder on the sideline.

If I was a media guy after the game I’d have asked "Hi Nick.  We saw Miles take a handoff and run through the middle for 25 yards.  Did you think about maybe just calling that play another 25 times?  You know, like your opponent was doing?”

You And I are 99% on the same page, but Doug never was in the realm of this.

This was some of the worst QB play I’ve ever witnessed. I don’t care about garbage stats.  It Hurts hits Goedert on the 6 yard pass, it’s a TD.  Next play he throws the pick 6.

I am not happy about the use of the run game, but up to this point Hurts seems to have the trifecta.  Limited arm, limited decision making ability, and I forget the third. 😂

Lol.

I am just a fan watching the broadcast, but it appeared to me that Hurts missed open guys a lot. The question at some point has to be asked - if we don’t see anything by mid season, do we need to take a long look at Minshew to see what we have?

He has been pretty good.in getting stops.in the red zone. At one point cox was out we obviously don't have graham they were on the field for how long he probably didn't have an lineman that had anything left so he just put 3 out there.

It’s not an "analogy.”

Hurts almost didn’t get the pass far enough on the 3 yard toss to Ertz where the whole field was in front of him.

I mean the thing is either you’re putting your QBs in a position to succeed or you don’t understand how to do it.  Sirianni looks like he doesn’t have a clue about what scheme changes to make so Hurts can succeed.

Woot! We’re number 1.

The best way for Hurts to succeed is to make him a back up.

If we are going to play out the "Hurts deserves a chance" rationale, then you have to make an effort to turn him into an NFL QB and get him to push the ball downfield.  So I get that too.

And at some point, you have to acknowledge that he's a limited passer and just pound the ball with Sanders while giving Hurts 1 read and then tuck and run instructions.  But what is the real point of doing that?  Does it make things prettier than what we saw tonight?  Sure.  But that's not taking them anywhere...and it's actually doing Hurts a disservice because then you really aren't giving him that shot.

At some point though (and we are only 2 games into the inept offense), they'll just punt on Hurts...which will either come in the form of sitting him or simply doing what I referenced above with the running game.

If we extrapolate his first three starts Hurts is on pace for 4,930 yards, 28 TD’s and 11 Ints

I think if he stinks you continue to play him to get that top 5 pick.

Worst thing that happens is he turns it around late and you can maybe get some draft picks for him or feel confident in him as a backup.

There’s a difference between a "pass first” offense when your team is moving the ball, your QB is throwing darts, etc vs passing 91% of the time when your QB is getting demolished (1st half) and when you need to find a way to "slow the game down” for him, etc.

Zero chance anyone other than Sirianni came up with this game plan and he doubled and tripped down on it, even when it was clearly not working.

Then explain the Ben Simmons mention as it relates to how the fans treat him and how they are reacting to the Eagles.  I’d love to hear.

Philly sports fans like turmoil. It’s right there in the original post.

Decent?   Other than tonight?  There were 2 other games!!!  How would you be able to formulate a pattern?

I should have said "so far”.  Decent 2 out of 3 games.  Is that better?

I see.  Good thing he’s playing the Falcons 5 more times this season. 😂
