Screens and swings are extensions of the running game, we were effective there.  The dumb penalties put us behind the chains and the scoreboard said you have to pass.  He throws with any accuracy past the LOS and the game might have looked a lot different.  I thought the play calling was decently 2D.  Once Dallas realized he couldn't complete simple passes they played up and aggressive.  'Running more' wouldn't have solved anything other than took some TOP away from Dallas.

There's a difference between calling plays that won't work versus calling too many pass plays that could have worked had the players executed.

I agree that the run/pass mix may have been an issue.  But the most of the pass plays that failed were well designed and attacked the defense appropriately.

Honestly it was an uninspiring two choices they got down too. I hated mcdaniels. I still think he’s riding Brady’s success. Like they put themselves in the position they were cause they waited a week to fire doug. If you were gonna do it then do it right at the end of the season so you don’t already have candidates basically off the board.

Yeah, but that isn't Sirianni's fault, and I'm not at all suggesting that's what you're saying. Like a lot of the issues with this team, it lies at the feet of Jeff and Howie.

Eric Wilson is my new favorite JAG.

I’ve seen JAGs before, but he’s the JAGiest bunch of JAGs to ever JAGed.

Maybe we'll be in a position to get our next QB without burning all of next year's draft capital.

I just can't see a future with JAGs at LB and S.  I would not expect them to use a first round pick at those positions.  But something on Day 2.  Please!

The funniest part of Hurts saying "when you take a deuce, you don’t look at it, you just flush it and move on” is him inadvertently saying we shouldn’t look at Howies deuce in the 2nd round and should just flush it and move on.

So that's lovely.

I am just a fan watching the broadcast, but it appeared to me that Hurts missed open guys a lot. The question at some point has to be asked - if we don’t see anything by mid season, do we need to take a long look at Minshew to see what we have?

Why?  Minshew is not going to be the long term answer.

I would ride with Hurts all year…hopefully he grows enough to with prove he can be the guy (unlikely IMO), or flash enough to be worth something

Feel bad for the guy but he’s always hurt. It’s getting hard to rely on him as well as any other O-linemen not named Kelce.

Oh i don’t blame sirianni. I’d have taken it too if they offered instead of returning as OC. howie and Jeff got them into the mess before they hired sirriani by poor drafting which was compounded by lack of developing the talent. Then bad contracts and poor restructures.

all I know is the Eagles better figure their crap out at quarterback. Hope it’s hurts but that’s looking less and less likely each week. Because if they draft one this upcoming draft then they’re not likely going to be very good his rookie year as he develops with likely a lackluster roster. If he’s not properly develop or just isn’t good then the following year in 2023 they’ll suck. So four years of bad football is almost half a decade. And very likely in 2024 if their QB spot is still an issue you’ve reached half decade of bad football.

that last paragraph is the reason why i think Lurie and howie would be all in on watson

I'm all back in on Hurts after this PC.  Dude is owning up above and beyond right now even shielding his rookie HC.

The number 1 thing I remember about his college career was consistent with his performance tonight. He was unable to move an Alabama offense at all in the 1st half of a national championship game.  He was benched for Tua and they won.  I hate Tua by the way.  He stinks too.  If you think he can recreate what he did at Oklahoma, then you’ve got more screws loose than I thought.

Will Sirianni have T-shirts made?

Hurts is doing the same pattern as last year. Good first start in a new offense. Inconsistent second start that had some good with some bad. Bad third start against the Cowboys that has garbage time stats.

Exactly right.

It's not going to be Hurts, can he develop? Sure. The better question is, will he develop into a franchise QB? Not likely, at best, he's a back-up imo, and I don't think they'll be drafting a QB, I still think they'll trade for one, and I think that's been the plan, we'll see which one that'll be.

Yeah I tend to agree. I think they’re gonna trade for a quarterback. That’s my personal belief. I think Wilson or Watson (more likely Watson goes to Miami now imo cause i think they are could be desperate enough to overpay). the Eagles are not gonna go into 2022 without having their franchise QB going forward.  I saidI don’t think those rumors with Wilson and watson were just made up out of thin air because the Eagles had a boatload of picks so people just assumed they would be. I think those rumors came out because the Eagles showed their hand being interested in those QBs and really didn’t have the faith some of the fan base did in hurts and they were collecting assets for a reason.

i really hope hurts turns it around and becomes a franchise QB. But i think this roster is stacked against him and already dealing with injuries. And he and sirianni have regressed each game.

So maybe sirriani’s shirt was some motivation for the Cowboys lmao jk

Adorable. Happy for you dude!

I understand and am not trying to make the empathy showed as a negative of the team. But this and BG last week, the team seems to be taking a major psyche hit. This plus losing is something I worried about with Sirianni at the helm. It’s going to take a lot to overcome this and competition isn’t going to cut it. Let’s see how he responds but this can spiral fast.

If it spirals out of control we can always bring back "trust the process”

Say what you want about Dak and Zeke but ever since Dallas drafted them they've had our number especially at their house.

BTW, can't wait for PFF to tweet out that Hurts was the 3rd highest graded QB in week 3 or something stupid like that.

I doubt the Cowboys social media team had much of any impact in the game.

Can’t say for certain but it kinda does look like that
