Kelce going down would likely kill the season

Don't look now, but I'm pretty sure this season just might be dead already. Yes, I know we're only 3 games in and we'll see.

Yup

But at some point NS will have to make a switch to a different QB, or risk losing players. Of course it is possible that happens with a HUrts injury... but I am thinking if this remains the course for 2 more games he is going to have to make a change at QB.

I keep seeing this argument and I'm just not buying it.  When you don't practice, I'd expect to have some assignment mistakes and such.  Dickerson is getting beat at the point of attack.  He's losing one-on-one battles.  Parsons made him look silly when Dickerson tried to pull and block him.  He's getting beat on basic pass rushes.

I'm not giving up on him yet and he most likely isn't healthy.  What I DO WANT, is to see some flashes of dominance.  I've said it a few times now but he was supposed to be this potential 1st round OG.  Think somewhere between Will Hernandez and Quinton Nelson would be a reasonable expectation.  Howie HAD to draft him, couldn't pass him up even though there were legit impact players at positions of need sitting there.

I have high expectations for him just like I do DeVonta Smith.

Different year, same story.  Eagles draft picks not living up to the hype.

Dickerson has had very little what you'd call live snaps since last season.  It's not a reflection of his ability, but he's a rookie coming off a serious knee who had nigh on zero meaningful snaps in TS/PS and a couple of weeks of practiv.  He isn't being put in a position to succeed out there.

Dickerson in a years time, health being well, will look an entirely different player than we are seeing at the moment.

Herbig isn’t good either. Dickerson is the future, and we aren’t a playoff team. We need to ride it out.

Not that we have a choice with Brooks and Seumalo out.

Herbig is adequate, and that's it.  But he would have provided a short term breathing space for Dickerson. Tis moot now

I stopped watching the beginning of the 4th. Just saw Greg ward had a TD haha

This makes absolutely no sense. He’s never played at the NFL level and you don’t think practice would help a great deal there?

Yikes.

I didn't say that at all.  Of course it will help but once you get in to the NFL season, practice is more about the plays and execution, not so much o-line/d-line battles.

As much as I have no interest in watching another game with Hurts at the helm you have to let this ride out for another little while, right?

I still can’t believe the lack of a run game and then the excuse by Nick

Not arguing your points at all and I hope you're right.  I also hope they didn't draft a guy so beat up that he never will be healthy.  He's a tremendous risk.

The Seumalo injury really throws a wrench in to the plans. I was thinking the same as you.  We'd be better of with Herbig at RG to let Dickerson get healthy but now with Seumalo out, that's not an option, unless they are going to play Opeta, Driscoll (when healthy) or maybe even Toth.  They have to be very careful with Dickerson.

So you're one who thinks practice = games?

Yikes.

No, you dope. I think practice helps prepare players for games.

Sit it out if you can’t follow along.

I agree. And on top of that being totally one dimensional with no threat of a run game is a recipe for disaster.

That is what every team is going to do to the Eagles.  They are essentially going to make Hurts be an in-the-pocket QB....which will be a disaster.

I think so. Do we really want to throw Minshew into this mess right now?

Take this year for what it is - a rebuild. That doesnt mean we don’t try to win but I think you don’t make a QB change until as a franchise you’ve given up on hurts being your franchise QB.

Yes

What choice do we have?  It's important that he is a complete disaster to make the decision clean and swift to replace him...and probably the coach...and hopefully Howie.

What was the excuse?

I wonder if Lurie and Howie will meet with Siri and tell him he didn't pass enough

Of all the negative last night.....by far my favorite play was when Hargrave just pushed their centre over when he was trapped in their huddle. I was laughing my ass off.

We have choices and I don't trust the Eagles to make the right one

I felt our punter played well last night.

Well lets start with the Bolded. I never thought he could be a Franchise QB, and his play to date is exactly what I thought it would be.  So YES I have given up on him being a franchise QB. ANd I think if NS keep playing him he will lose the lockeroom. And we could be looking for another HC next year if that happens.  (And if that happens we are literally the new Browns of the NFL, always in search of a HC and QB)

The more disastrous it gets, the harder it is to ignore.  This includes Hurts, Siri, and Howie (the main culprit of this mess).

Yup. Deflect from your nonsensical response to me and pretend I’m the triggered one. Then troll me twice with the "yikes.”

Well done.

Very few of Howie's Draft picks actually amount to something. He got lucky in 2018 that his moves worked FOR ONE YEAR, and then imploded.

First time in my life that I can remember shutting off a game before it was completely over and going right to sleep. Well deserved beating we took. Maybe the coach should stop trying to be cute with t-shirts and do some coaching instead.

Before some of you that have a superior attitude get on me about the t-shirts not mattering, everything matters when you are the leader of young men.

I agree about the t shirts….pretty silly

You do, but how far do you go after the wheels fall off?

Side note, the first part of Kelce's interview you'd think Isaac died lol.

Other side note, where did the extra 200 yards of passing from Hurts come from that I missed?
