What choice do we have?  It's important that he is a complete disaster to make the decision clean and swift to replace him.

At what point though do they look and say OK, Hurts play is really having an impact on the development of the WR/RB/TE and we need someone in here to get the ball to our other investments?

They have 2 1st round picks (Smith/Reagor), 2 2nd round picks (Sanders/Goedert) and 5th/6th (Gainwell/Watkins) invested in the offense.  None of them are going to reach their potential if the QB can't get them the ball.

You’re still wondering?

No, I guess not really. I just see Siri getting shredded today yet Howie and Jeff are seeming to get a pass. They hired this guy and created this crap in the first place.

Just now, Ipiggles said:

Very few of Howie's Draft picks actually amount to something. He got lucky in 2018 that his moves worked FOR ONE YEAR, and then imploded.

He's the main culprit in this disaster.

The Eagles were never sold on him being the franchise QB and last night didn't help matters.  Someone needed to be the starter.

and he was the guy Howie Drafted, so he gets his shot. OK he had his shot. ..

moving on.

College offense, cheerleader coach. The Eagles are basically Penn State

Penn State would be favored

I think they were trying to talk themselves into the possibility.

this SO MUCH THIS!!!!!

How can we say he knows his offense works when we have three touchdowns in the past 8 quarters? He himself said you think of the players first when devising a scheme. Did it look that way last night?

And besides, asking him to run the ball more and to incorporate a few more QB run plays isn’t asking him to rip his offense up.

I think the all 22 is going to show a brutal amount of missed wide open receivers

I know what he said, and it sounds nice.  But maybe hes thinking that maybe its not the best idea to mold the entire offense around a QB that we know isnt the guy.

We have to find out if Hurts can handle a passing offense.  He went way overboard, but regardless there were plays to be made all over the field.

Its hard to see guys running wide open everywhere and not keep going back to that well, especially when the Cowboys seemed to move the ball at will 80% of the game

I can’t remember who it was debating me about Siri keeping his offense under wraps until the season starts , no since unleashing it during preseason , they said .

The best way for Hurts to succeed is to make him a back up.

If we are going to play out the "Hurts deserves a chance" rationale, then you have to make an effort to turn him into an NFL QB and get him to push the ball downfield.  So I get that too.

And at some point, you have to acknowledge that he's a limited passer and just pound the ball with Sanders while giving Hurts 1 read and then tuck and run instructions.  But what is the real point of doing that?  Does it make things prettier than what we saw tonight?  Sure.  But that's not taking them anywhere...and it's actually doing Hurts a disservice because then you really aren't giving him that shot.

At some point though (and we are only 2 games into the inept offense), they'll just punt on Hurts...which will either come in the form of sitting him or simply doing what I referenced above with the running game.

I think there are a range of possible outcomes for Hurts.  High end starting QB isn't likely one of them but competent QB may be. Sirianni needed to think about ways that allow offense to get on track.  The offense still woefully underuses motion. Motion is key for offenses and QBs because it helps reveal coverages and the defensive scheme.  They have no running plays that involve WRs.  Don't give me the well screens are like runs because they're not the same.  There was nothing to change direction of the defense.  Sure receivers were open but that's bs because receivers are going to look open in any scheme.  There is nothing that is deceptive and challenging for defenses.  Sirianni had Hurts repeatedly throwing the ball or calling RPOs where Dallas was just baiting him into throwing the ball.   The offense was predictable and Hurts isn't at a point where he's not telegraphing throws.  So one read and run is an issue but the bigger issue is that Sirianni did nothing that could at least make the read more deceptive.  The growth doesn't come by some trial by fire.  It comes by Hurts gaining confidence in his reads sooner and processing faster.

We are going to get to find that out.  The key to beating us is making him be an in-the-pocket, read the defense QB....a standard QB!  The blueprint is to make Hurts a QB.  How Fed up is that?

Hate to say it, but the easiest way out would be for Hurts to get injured. Then everybody can save face and we can move onto Minshew Mania. Many of us are already there.

As far as I can tell the offense still is under wraps.

What was the excuse?

Game flow. They wanted to take shots but then the game got out of hand

Should have ran the ball anyway

Pre-snap motion would help Hurts know which of those receivers would be open due to coverage.  How hard is that to scheme?

No, the only way out is to continue to suffer to the point Lurie parts ways with Roseman.

I was never a fan of read option QB's in the NFL.  Give me a pocket passer, who can run if he needs to... every day and 2x on Sunday!

So over the infatuation some have with running QB's,  just show me the multiple SB's won by Running QB's running a college offense.

Deflect oh no.  Quite the opposite just making fun of you and your triggered response to being called out.  You don't like it.  You get all bent.  Dickerson needs to play in games because he needs the practice.....

What are you blathering on about? He needs to play, and his lack of practice time is part of the reason for his struggles.

Do you really not understand that?

I would even take a phantom injury and place him on IR.  We have done that before.

Lol. That’s one way to spin what I said…

As little as Sanders gets used, maybe it makes sense to sign him to an extension. Don’t need to worry about him getting run into the ground. But then again might as well just find the best pass blocking RB there for Siri’s offense

Maybe an issue with Hurts capabilities? I dont know?

Lurie is Roseman. Roseman is Lurie. There will not be a parting of ways, unfortunately for us.

So easy.

We all do...

So you’re deflecting again. Your game plan is as bad as Sirianni’s last night. We all see through it.

I think so. Do we really want to throw Minshew into this mess right now?

No. I think they should ride it out with Hurts and totally evaluate him. I mean it was technically only his 7th start. Then at the end of the season Howie gets canned and a new GM drafts a franchise qb....... one can dream.
