There's no point in putting Minshew or Flacco in. They have no chance at being our long term QB. Hurts may not be the answer, but still need to ride him out for the year. If he improves, he gets another year. If he sucks, we will have a high draft pick to replace him.

We traded for him. We aren't winning anything this year anyway. See what you got.

The Eagles gave up a 6th round draft choice for a 3rd string QB.

FWIW, I’d give Hurts until halftime of the Broncos game before even entertaining this discussion.

Yep.  When Wallace wen't down and Epps in. I wasn't too concerned.  Not much of a drop off, if at all.

Yeah, I stuck up for the guy, but at this point he's a liability.

It is always Barnett

Every single Eagle fan said the exact same thing last night when there was the big fracas in the first drive. The dudes a psychopath.

Oh and dont forget Barnett jumping offside to give Dallas a 3rd and 3 instead of 3rd and 8 at a critical point in the game.

The guy is just flatout not worth it.  He doesnt produce nearly enough to justify all the mental mistakes.  Good bye

Did Epps make more plays in two quarters than Wallace has in his career?

It's a rebuilding year, these kind of games are common when you're rebuilding.

To me this season is about the 4 games after the bye week, those will tell you if the team is trending up or treading water or drowning.

Either young players develop and the team improves, or it's a long few years.

I though Hurts looked overwhelmed in the 1Q, then settled down, but by then the defense had put them in a hole. And the OL did him no favors. He was late on some throws, but he also made some beautiful throws, a rocket over the middle to Watkins called back, the TD to Ertz. The drop by Goeddert off his hands that could have gone 50 yards. I also thought he stayed in the pocket for the most part, just was late recognizing what was happening at times.

For all those who put stock in QB rating, Hurts is 99.2 after three games.

I dont have to wait for the rest of the year. I said last year, he sucks, and see no improvement with a full training camp and an offense designed for him.

He sucks. Siri will lose the lockeroom if he sticks with Hurts.

For both teams.

Oh please...  Flacco is the past, not the future, and you're not trying to win a Super Bowl...  Minshew is CLASSIC let's just play the other guy...  Minshew is no more a starting NFL QB than Hurts has shown...

At this point, it's crystal clear (IMO) that you stick with Hurts...  and hope like hell the 1st year Head Coach's learning curve is accelerated...

I'll tell you why this might not happen. At some point Howie/Lurie is going to hear crickets in the stands and make a decision to at least try and win a few games. That's if Siri/Hurts continue to stink up the place.

If "Dog the Bounty Hunter" catches that Laundrie guy, is he gonna give him a cigarette in the back of a suburban?

If that happens the whole thing was staged

Yeah, I've given up on him, he was selling out on the pass rush the first half and repeated was caught inside on runs to his side as well.

No I'm not tryting to win a SB this year, and Flacco and Minshew would be placement holders at best, till we can get another QB in the offseason.

But what it would do, is allow the other pieces on the Offense to develop, Like WR etc. Also allow Siri to improve, without losing the lockeroom. Right now, none of that is going to happen with Hurts at QB

Sticking with Hurts is a disaster waiting to happen.

The disaster happened last night...  I don't believe the young WRs will stop "developing" by Hurts continuing as the QB...  I don't believe it makes any sense to bench the QB so that the coach can improve...  and I REALLY don't believe the idea that the locker room is in jeopardy; we have too many established veterans for that to happen...  you need to make a better case than what you've put forth here...

Howie is pure trash when it comes to drafting.  I've been saying it for years and I get ripped on for saying the Cowboys are a far superior team when it comes to drafting talent.  It was on full display last night.  Howie's draft picks faltered, Jerry's draft picks flourished.  Even the Cowboys FA signings are better than the Eagles.

Who would you rather have?

All drafted in the last 4 years

Offense

CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, Dalton Schultz, Tony Pollard

-OR-

DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, Quez Watkins, Dallas Goedert, Kenny Gainwell, Miles Sanders

LB

Jaylon Smith, LVE, Micah Parsons, Jabril Cox

-OR-

Shaun Bradley, Davion Taylor, Patrick Johnson, TJ Edwards (UDFA)

Free agent safeties

Jayron Kearse, Malik Hooker, Keanu Neal

-OR-

Anthony Harris, Anthony Adams (he was FA signing)

You're right, the Cowboys have been very good at drafting as of late but people want to laugh at them simply because they're our rival. Pretty silly. Last night their accumulated talent over years spoke volumes of how things really are. We are no where in sight for any kind of championship runs. This team needs a new GM and Jeff to back the F off. Even that will take years to build and fix. It's over folks

Do you actually listen to what people say, I've learned to just watch what they do, when you pick up a couple 1st rd picks (hopefully) for next year, you're not in win now mode.

I'm usually out and left field on my opinions but is anyone sick of Fletcher Cox?

If I'm not mistaking he's around a top 5 highest paid DT in the game(defiantly top 10) He made 1 play last night that quite literally fell in his lap but after that the only time you hear about him is when he's hurt and rolling around on the field.

With this season being a loss, next year probably being a "growing year" I say you try to unload him for anything if they take all of his contract

No. He's always been double or tripled and that's supposed to open it up for someone else to make a play on the QB

He already said he hasn't eaten for a few days because he was ill

The Eagles were never sold on him being the franchise QB and last night didn't help matters.  Someone needed to be the starter.

There is a reason they didn't put his face on the side of the stadium before the season began.

Pre-snap motion would help Hurts know which of those receivers would be open due to coverage.  How hard is that to scheme?

They were doing a lot of faux snap counts to diagnose where the pressure was coming from.  That seemed to be a priority, which is understandable considering the state of the OL.

I don't think this will happen... at least, it shouldn't happen...  if you predicate your team's development on going 6-11 instead of 3-14, you're barking up the wrong tree...

we will disagree. The players know when the team/ coaching staff isn't giving them the best chance for success, and thats when you start hearing things from the lockeroom, when the coach is losing the players. Once that happens, there is no repairing it. You have to change the coaching staff again.

And maybe that for the best I dont know, I only know we are the new Browns.

The game was more telling about us than the Cowboys. They still have the smell of a team that will maybe win at home Wild Card weekend, but will go no farther than the divisional round.

We appear to be a bottom 5 team.

Said last night I'd rather someone else get snaps and do nothing over Barnett giving them free yards. Someone on twitter posted that Barnett has 23 career penalties and 19 some odd sacks. I'm not sure if those numbers are accurate but it absolutely feels that way.
